Nice Place but weather can affect enjoyment.
Victory Hotel walkway to The Mall is an uneven path behind the building past what appears to be a derelict building up numerous uneven steps. Unsafe after dark

We were quite shocked at how busy Shimla has become and how polluted the atmosphere is now compared to 27 years ago. The Himalayas were barely visible and had very little snow which for December we thought was unusual
It’s still a beautiful part of India but perhaps December isn’t the best time to visit as they have a winter festival which attracts people from all over India hoping for snow …..there was none.
We found lots of excellent places to eat where you could enjoy some fabulous sunsets
We climbed to monkey temple taking one of the old routes which was very picturesque and we avoided the crowds
The Viceroys Palace was a bit of a disappointment as there was a 4 hour wait for a guided tour Thankfully we’d asked our driver to wait for us so we enjoyed a walk round the gardens but didn’t wait to go inside
You can see plenty of monkeys but need to be very vigilant as they were steal from you many people were getting to close and having their phones snatched. There is a large population of stray dogs which was new to us. They are in good condition and fed by the local residents who encourage the dogs as they keep the monkeys away

Very beautiful HIll Station. People are very good.
Very beautiful HIll Station. People are very good. Food is awesome. Cold is just perfect for people from West and South India. A bit crowded during weekends, parking is an issue. Use lifts where ever available as we are not used to climbing uphills and walkign so much when coming from other regions. Wear good shoes as there is lot of walking. Jhaku Temple rope way is approx 500 per person for two ways ride. Mall road is expensive but stuff is good. Kufri and Mashobra are amazing too.

I like the name and the fact it was oberoi and I am there corporate customer..
But fact is its 3 star property and go if they charge you 5k a night all inclusive and if you are use to jumping in tub of 32 inches high and don't use soap or you will skip,... and the GM is not hands on ...
The front office Manger will offer you 10% disc if your package is without breakfast.. she will like to add to your bill... and be sure entire hotel is empty and they will choose the worst room for you

Shimla was too crowed, if you are really looking for a peaceful place then Shimla is not your destination. It was so crowded and moreover the biggest issue in Shimla is the transport, at the rush hours, cab drivers will charge almost double money and they are so arrogate that sometime you don't wana talk to them, honestly i will not go Shimla again as it's not worth, traffic is similar to what you have in Delhi or any other metro city.
For the best view of Shimla, go to Treebo Trip Shimla Palace. You won't watch TV à single day, that's how pretty the view is. At such a height that clouds literally touch your windows. Shimla Palace is around one and a half hours on foot from mall Road but 15-20 minutes by bus. They even give taxi service which was great to catch my toy train back to Kalka. No disturbance at all, and the food is good. Staff is also helpful. Kudos to the GM of Shimla Palace for running this warm cozy heaven of a place.
First of all hotel owner Verma sahab is very cooperative and very good person....it is very important to stay hotel in outside.....hotel is situated amazing location, homely environment..best place to stay in shimla with mountain and green 💚💚🍏 velly view....also all type of food was very testy and fantastic.. room was very very clean...I am happy to stay this hotel 👌👌🤗🤗🥳🥳 i recommend to all who are visiting in shimla...
The place is Little off beat from the Shimla City .It will take you around 1 to 1.5 hours to reach the place from mall road Shimla.
But once you reach there.... everything will be so perfect.
Like room will be clean and staff will s so home friendly like you living in your home.
Rinku and Arjun you guy's are best and takes care of your customer very well and food was on point right from breakfast to dinner.
The location is perfect within Shimla main town. The Ridge, Mall Street, and Christ Church are at your doorstep. There is a beautiful view from the hotel and nice balcony and an enclosed terrace area to see it from. The rooms are basic but comfortable. Bathrooms are clean and everything works well. The manager was so nice and he really helped me out a lot during my stay.
The nicest staff I have met! Abhay is very kind and goes out of his way to help you. We were very well looked after and were very happy with our stay. Location was super as it was a short walk to Mall Road. The staff met us at victory tunnel and took us to the property which is near Kalavati temple, Mall Road (pleasant walk) The best part- The mountain views!!!
Very good Hotel with private parking facilities and the top floor is right on the Mall road. This is not so common in Shimla. However, you got to walk for some good 15-20 mins uphill to reach the attractions like Scandal Point, Ridge, etc.,. Rooms offer a good view of the valleys, have centralized AC, prompt service. The food menu is not so expensive.
It was a great experience and It is a decent hotel with clean room and very good food. One of the best hotel in shimla i can say. The hotel is near to mall road which is the main location in shimla. Hotel ia just 1 KM from the railway station. Staff was very helpfull in term of services and behavior. I highly recommend.
Location of hotel is good. Near to Railway Station and near to Mall Road. I stayed in family suit and it was awesome. My son liked the bed a lot, which was actually a bunk bed. View from all rooms is a natural scenery.
Staff was good and well behaving.
Situated at a prime location near Mall Road.
The staff is super friendly and helpful.
Also the cafe rooftop has good mountain view and amazing food.
I personally liked the Cappuccino here.
A must visit if looking for a stay in Shimla.
In centre of shimla. Great support from the staff. Mr. Jagmohan have been very helpful. He dropped us to near mall road. Food facilities were available and nice. Good view of hills from the room. Clean room and bathroom.
It's location is the best in shimla, just at the starting point of Mall Road, you can easily reach The Ridge by 10 minute walk.
The hotel is very old heritage. Breakfast was good with a nice view over the window.
We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were neat and tidy. Location was a bit far from the buzzing Mall road but u will love it if u want to stay out of the city. Best place to stay in shimla
Hotel Victory enjoys prime location as it is located in city centre
Staff was vedy polite and helpful they upgraded me to view room
Mall road is walking distance
Rooms are spacious
There was nothing which can be liked. Highly over rated given by booking.com to this hotel. Location is very dark and unsafe for family. Very far from main shimla mall road.
