Keflavik is easily overlooked by many whom just go straight to the capital but honestly its such a nice little town, there's enough to see and do to last a decent amount of time and in comparison at least for me was more fun to explore than the capital!

Did not travel to Keflavik, we were there at the airport for a stopover. Thought we could tour a little as we had 10 hours but the cost of the bus fare and taxi was very expensive and for a family of four we decided to stay put. The flights are cheap but everything else, if you are on a budget prepare yourself to spend a lot of money on food and transportation. Very clean place, their tap water is amazing, air is clean. Would love to go back to explore but will have to save a lot to be able to fully enjoy Iceland.

Good location near the airport.
Good location near the airport. We moved here the day before our early morning flight. The friendly lady in reception stored our bags and called a taxi to bring us to Blue Lagoon. We learned that the hotel had a special deal with taxis so we booked the same taxi to bring us back, which gave us a bit of a discount. We took their free airport shuttle very early the next morning. The driver who was also in charge of reception was nice and friendly too.

Don't arrive after 2200hrs.
Don't arrive after 2200hrs. You won't get the room you've paid for. Don't rely on information from staff. They give you inaccurate advice re buses etc. The hotel is a 55km bus ride from Reykjavik - a once hourly service - or a $200 taxi ride each way. There is not even a vending machine to buy a softdrink, crisps etc. This place is an expensive bed and a shower and a 6km (aka AUD$59) taxi ride from the airport. Dont waste your money!

After being dropped off at the airport, I realized I had left my purse in the van. I was able to call the owner and he quickly and generously drove back to the airport to give me my purse. Phew! What an angel! And he didn’t even charge me for the inconvenience of driving back! Super short ride to the airport!

It's a lovely place. Must visit.
It's a lovely place. Must visit. If you have kids under 8 then you might not be able to go to a lot of adventures tours. Food is expensive. Rain is a Scandinavian restaurant where one must go if visiting Iceland.
Accommodation was clean, well equipped and in a great location. It is owned by Hotel Keflavik across the road which looks amazing. Breakfast was served there and it is a buffet. The choice of food was incredible. Wished we were staying longer so that we could try everything. Very handy for central Keflavik and a short drive to the airport. Breakfast is served from 5.00am which is great if you have an early flight. The shared bathroom was very clean and there are two bathrooms to around 6 rooms so we never had to wait.
The main reason i booked the hotel was because i need a place before my early flight on Keflavik airport. If that's also your main reason, so the Konvin Hotel is the good choice because they provide airport shuttle from hotel to airport, and also the early breakfast (for extra charge) if you need before your early flight.
The room is spacious with a nice bathroom. Tho i'd arrived at late night so I didn't get the chance to saw the view around hotel, my room was oversee to parking lot but it didn't bother me at all.
Location very convenient from Keflavik International Airport and the Blue Lagoon. Staff was fabulous-we just arrived from a long flight and a long soak from the Blue Lagoon and we were tired! We were warmly greeted and helped immediately by very friendly employees. We also found out Jodie Foster stayed at the hotel while filming True Detective…Very cool! Free parking, delicious breakfast. Our host even called her friend the next morning to open his souvenir shop early so we could look at wool sweaters and blankets.
Very clean and friendly. We have late night arrival, everything was ok, there is an option of self check in after previous acceptance. Super place for independent individuals, extra clean and warm. We have very good room with TV, and nice view from window. Super breakfast with self-service, next doors to hotel - Polish cousin restaurant (we haven’t been there, just saw). Transfer to the airport, as written, everything was super! Highly recommend!
Close proximity to the airport with sea views. Quiet residential location. Self check in and out so we didn't see any staff, not even at breakfast. Hotel is clean and well decorated throughout. We had a good sized room with a comfortable bed, bathroom had a good shower. Breakfast available from 0400hrs and is self service with a varied choice. Ideal for the airport and local restaurants.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed spending time talking with them. A beautifully appointed and clean hotel in a great location just minutes from the airport. A great big hot tub on the roof deck was a nice way to relax on a cold winter night. Very good food at the restaurant. This hotel also has a free shuttle service from the hotel to the airport. Very useful.
Very convenient guesthouse in town of Keflavik, and extremely comfortable clean private room with bathroom even though it is technically half lower level. Nice breakfast items in mini-refrigerator, perfect for early getaway to airport. Walking distance to restaurants and pub. Warm welcoming hostess and host who took us to the airport.
Nice hotel, good,.clean and comfortable room. Very quiet room with plenty of space. Comfortable bed, great shower. Dinner and breakfast in hotel were both really good. Restaurant staff really good. On check in the lobby was very busy but staff coping well and no holdups. Pretty typical of an airport hotel.
Recently buildt hotel complex, restaurant nearby inexpensive, very clean, the included breakfast was extensive. The Check-in personal was very friendly and we had a nice conversation. Due to no flights during nighttime it was unexpectedly quiet even if the window was opened.
Very close to Keflavik international airport, very friendly receptionist and shuttle bus driver. The large room. It is ok to stay if you need to catch a flight in the morning. The hotel is located in what used to be old Air-force barracks, so the rooms are rather large.
The entrance of the property and the lounge is very stylish, looks amazing and they have good breakfast.
Close to airport 10 min drive close to local shops and restaurants 10-20 min walk
The clinic service was very good also
Other good point is they have parking
Perfect for airport and early morning flight, our room overlooked the harbour and had a small balcony. the restaurant in the hotel was lovely and food was very very good. reasonable breakfast also included and courtesy bus to the airport. Great for our needs.
This is a charming little hotel near the Keflavik Airport. We really felt like home here and all the little details like bathrobes, coffee and cookies in the common room, hot tub, airport shuttle made our stay perfect.
Thank you so much, Agata and Reynir!
Very cozy place, comfy rooms which we needed after doing the ring road in an RV, loved their pictures in every corner and had a very nice breakfast (available from 3 am to 10 am!) The airport shuttle service was great. I recommend staying here.
Breakfast was wonderful with plenty of options and was open for our early morning flight. The location in relation to the rental car drop-off and airport terminal was perfect! We also enjoyed a great dinner at the hotel restaurant.
2 Min walk next to Keflavík Airport
Staff is very friendly and welcoming
very clean hotel
breakfast from 4:00
Room is silent even if it is beside the airport
parking space is sufficient
It’s an interesting theme: Jazz hotel. Their toiletries, bathroom and breakfast room are style to fit that label. 8 restaurants nearby ( walking distance). Supermarket as well ( Bonus).
We arrived late at Keflavik airport and stayed our first night in this hotel. Nice staff, comfortable beds, the best fish and chips we ate in Iceland and a good breakfast.
