very centrally located.. we were able to explore Ortigia easily from this BnB. it was an old style charming palazzo, with a very spacious high ceilinged room! We were very comfortable and surprisingly it wasn’t noisy at all, considering the central location. Our host Giovanni was so very helpful and kind.. gave us some great restaurant recommendations and other tips. He even arranged for us to have coffee and croissant at a nearby restaurant, to make up for the broken coffee machine. We enjoyed our stay at Palazzo del Sale and I would heartily recommend it to anyone!

This boutique hotel is in the centre of Ortigia, near Piazza Duomo. It is set in a historic building with high ceilings and stone walls. Each of the 6 rooms is spacious and unique. There is free Wi-Fi in the lobby. All rooms at Palazzo Del Sale include satellite TV, air conditioning, and a minibar. Several of the rooms also have a terrace. The bathrooms are made with local materials, such as lava stone and terracotta. Palazzo Del Sale is close to the Aretusa Fountain, to the Maniace Castle and to all the most important churches of Siracusa. Enjoy a walk along the Lungomare promenade, which circles the whole island. The hotel may only be available for long stays of 2 or more nights.
