The rapidly expanding Jordanian capital, Amman is an economic powerhouse spread over various hills. Atop one sits the Citadel, containing remains of the Roman Temple of Hercules, a Byzantine church and an 8th-century mosque and palace.
Also here is the Jordan Archaeological Museum, and at the foot of the hill is a Roman theatre, part built in the rock. Modern housing blocks surround it, but the most avant-garde architecture is in the developing Al Abdali business district.
The tallest Amman structures will be the Jordan Gate Towers and will house one of the city’s high-rise hotels. International brands of restaurants and bar can be found alongside more traditional cuisine in Amman, and many eateries are in the large Mecca Mall and Grand City Mall, which also has a cinema.
Nearby is the desert-like vegetation of Al Hussein National Park, and the Royal Automobile Museum which features cars of King Hussein, ruler for over 40 years and after whom are named city sights such as the King Hussein Business Park and mosque. The King Abdullah I Mosque has a beautiful blue dome, while Abu Darweesh Mosque at Amman’s highest point is a striking black-and-white structure.
Booking.com’s Amman accommodation includes 5-star hotels, apartments in the embassy district, and cheap hostels, all within easy reach of Queen Alia Airport.
It was a beautiful city. The procedures were smooth and comfortable. The architectural style of the city was modern and beautiful. The level of food was good and the prices were between medium and high. In terms of the cleanliness of the city, it was very good. There was crowding at times.

Lack of recognizable food chains posed challenging food-searches but overall situation can be manageable. Traffic can be considered an issue and driving in Amman might be tricky (stick to uber / careem apps).

Amman is a great place to stay for a few days, even for someone like me who doesn't particularly enjoy city stays. Super easy to get around by walking, or by taxi (you can use the careem app or Uber), and many local buses go within Amman as well as buses to take you to other cities in the country. Options for local food are great for budget travelers (you can spend as little as 1 JD to get a good sandwich). I loved exploring the different neighborhoods around as well as the downtown area. Make sure to check out Hashem for its famous falafel and hummus. If you like Turkish bath houses, the Al-Pacha one was amazing and I would recommend it! The locals in the city are super friendly and helpful and not as pushy to sell you things or trying to take advantage of you which is also amazing.

A very authentic experience.
A very authentic experience. This was the first Arabic city I ever visited and I loved it. The landscape has a lot of hills so you should wear comfortable shoes and be ready to go up and down all the time.
Locals are very friendly and cheerful.
When it comes to food, you can find everything from cheap (but delicious) local food for as low as 1 EUR for a falafel set to posh, exquisite restaurants with a menu in English in the city center.
The whole city is a huge bazaar where you can buy anything.
There are not so many historic landmarks but the Citadel and the Roman Theater are nice, and the view from there is charming.

i would definitely recommend this city for travelers because it is a charming and colorful town it is true that it is a big city one of the biggest in the Middle East but it has everything for everyone. restaurants, bars old ruins, shops new ones and old style a like And it has wonderful and kind people anytime ready to help and to make your stay a wonderful experience. Moving around is easy despite the traffic could be hard sometimes, there are massive traffic jams at the rush hours but there are a great deal of taxis they are yellow and use meters the price is not high There is also Uber and the local Careem
Places to go, rainbow street for many it is the most beautiful street in Amman, you may try the best falafel in the Middle East at Al Quds there are many bars and restaurants and shops that sell souvenirs some good stuff. Downtown is a bustling area we bought coffee from one of the oldest coffee shops in town, there are also I think 3 Habiba sweets that sell baclava and kunafeh made in many ways The habiba sweets shop between King Faisal square and K Ghazi street it is said to be the original but they all have delicious sweets
The new area in the Abdali the Abdali boulevard and the Abdali Mall are worth a night out
The citadel is a must it is inhabited from the old times it was the center of the kingdom of Ammon and there are ruins from the period of the Romans and the Byzantines and also the Omayyad also a must is the roman theater in the Hashemite Square
For going out one may try the Paris Square in Jabal al Lweibdeh
Amman is the capital of an amazing country, it is a safe place to go
I loved it

Amman is a fantastic city with wonderful people who are trustworthy and with integrity. They are respectful and appreciative of tourists and aren't overtly out to get you.
The food is absolutely fantastic here and really cheap for what you get.
Amman itself is also great for shopping and seeing beautiful historic sites. I suggest eating where the locals eat and they are for the most part able to understand a little bit of English everywhere you go.
The location of hotel is on main street which could be positive or negative for someone. The location was extremely convenient for me as I wanted to catch the bus for King Hussain Bridge in morning and Jet bus Abdali station is 2min walk. The suite was large with king size bed. The 5 stars 🌟 I will give to the old man who checked me in in evening and made request for breakfast box for me to be ready morning 630am as I was going to catch bus 715am. Their breakfast starts at 8am usually, real Jordanian hospitality.
Excellent experience! The hotel is perfectly located in the city center of Amman. Sightseeing, food and shopping are very close. The service is amazing, the staff is very polite and even helped us with booking transfers through Jordan as well as a great Hamam near by. Breakfast is a very nice buffet at low cost. We would highly recommend to stay at this lovely hotel.
Only remark: Due to its central location it tends to be a bit noisy sometimes.
The hotel is located right in the city center being a couple of hundred meters far from the Roman theatre. The area is lovely as you can feel the Amman life including restaurants, historical sites, and above all the most famous Al-Hashemi street which has a huge market that offers the best experience to the tourists. Above all, the breakfast offered is the best segment of the stay in my opinion. Lovely staff!
Excellent stay at this hotel. We had the full, two bedroom/2 bath suite. Spacious and very very comfortable. Staff was good and professional. Wide array of options for breakfast. The hotel also has a gastropub for guests to dine in. It's just 4 mins walk to one of Amman's best restaurants (Fakhreldin) and just a couple of blocks away from the buzzy section of Rainbow Street. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
Great location in the heart of Amman, walking distance to the markets and restaurants. Everything you need (including ATMs, pharmacies) is literally a few minutes away. Ali and the rest of the staff (Alladin, lady at the rooftop kitchen) are genuinely friendly people and made our stay really pleasant. We started and ended our Jordan trip by staying at this lovely boutique hotel.
It was a quite new hotel
1) located in the center of the downtown Amman that is easy to find when navigating (next to the famous Hashem restaurant), close to the Rainbow Street and most of the main attractions in Amman;
2) great value for money for a spacious, private ensuite room equipped with all the necessities, unlike many places in Jordan;
3) with accommodating staff.
the location is excellent. it’s close to Amman mall just 5 mins walk also it is next to the best Kunafa in Amman called Habiba Sweets:) Well earlier I had booked Rotana but to get real Jordanian feel you need to stay in this hotel. however staff will not be very comfortable to communicate in English but they try really hard. breakfast spread is really good.
The Sandra hotel is ideally located in Amman close to the Jordan museum and downtown walking area. The staff Hadi and the other staff were super friendly, helpful and assisted with everything I asked. The room was comfortable, clean and I enjoyed it so much I stayed again after my trip to Petra and Wadi rum which again they were very accommodating.
excellent. location. hotel excellent. owner extreme kind and very helpful. helped me with planning my vacation here in jordan.room large clean and bathroom attached. 24 hr hot and cold water. jaber the owner was extreme helpfull and organised cheap tours in jordan and in isreal . i surely recommed the place. price was also the best in town.
Really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is lovely - recently renovated and modern. Our room was spotless! We arrived at 1 am and were upgraded to the suite, with a beautiful terrace view of Amman. Breakfast was delicious! Wish we could have stayed longer but was traveling to another region of Jordan. Will definitely book here again.
Great place to stay in Amman.
Very comfortable and nice apartment with full equipment.
Good location, close to restaurants and to city centre.
Very kind staff, helpful and hospitable.
Great breakfast, the best during our trip in Jordan.
Good wifi, parking available in hotel and nice view from restaurant.
They are very welcoming and took the time to give us a lot of useful information about Jordan.
The room was super clean and the bed very comfortable. They also have a really nice terrasse with a view on Amman.
Last but not least, the hotel is very well located and you can park your car for free in the street.
Excellent service. Ahmad and Amani help us with all our request . Buffet breakfast was good ..We booked our car and driver with the hotel and I highly recommend our driver -ALI ( the best driver in Amman) who drove us safely going to Petra, Dead Sea and back to Amman . The hotel also arranged our PCR test .
Not central, but still has a great location with lots of restaurants and cafes on the back road. Also, the cleanest hotel that we stayed in Jordan, the staff was very nice and attentive, making sure we are happy with everything. Great place! If I will be to return to Amman I will stay here again.
Celino hotel was a good option in the center of Amman and all attractions are in a near distance from the hotel. The staff was really nice and answered/support all of our needs. Breakfast was very good (typical Jordan breakfast). The room was big and clean.
Crop is the best hotel I had in Amman, it's Extremely comfortable clean cozy quiet very hard to find something like this level of service within this value.
staff is very good and very friendly, Special thanks to Abed
Perfect location near some of the major sights of Amman. Hotel staff was super helpful and resilient when sorting out our issues with delayed luggage. Hotel organized very nice day trip to northern Jordania.
