The rapidly expanding Jordanian capital, Amman is an economic powerhouse spread over various hills. Atop one sits the Citadel, containing remains of the Roman Temple of Hercules, a Byzantine church and an 8th-century mosque and palace.
Also here is the Jordan Archaeological Museum, and at the foot of the hill is a Roman theatre, part built in the rock. Modern housing blocks surround it, but the most avant-garde architecture is in the developing Al Abdali business district.
The tallest Amman structures will be the Jordan Gate Towers and will house one of the city’s high-rise hotels. International brands of restaurants and bar can be found alongside more traditional cuisine in Amman, and many eateries are in the large Mecca Mall and Grand City Mall, which also has a cinema.
Nearby is the desert-like vegetation of Al Hussein National Park, and the Royal Automobile Museum which features cars of King Hussein, ruler for over 40 years and after whom are named city sights such as the King Hussein Business Park and mosque. The King Abdullah I Mosque has a beautiful blue dome, while Abu Darweesh Mosque at Amman’s highest point is a striking black-and-white structure.
Booking.com’s Amman accommodation includes 5-star hotels, apartments in the embassy district, and cheap hostels, all within easy reach of Queen Alia Airport.
I really love the city. Green tree all around and you can feel the nice weather and fresh air. You have many option where you can take your meal. Everything is clean and people around you will help you if you have any issue. There is many beautiful places to visit. And in the evening you can enjoy the night life.

It was a beautiful city.
It was a beautiful city. The procedures were smooth and comfortable. The architectural style of the city was modern and beautiful. The level of food was good and the prices were between medium and high. In terms of the cleanliness of the city, it was very good. There was crowding at times.

Lack of recognizable food chains posed challenging food-searches but overall situation can be manageable. Traffic can be considered an issue and driving in Amman might be tricky (stick to uber / careem apps).

Amman is a great place to stay for a few days, even for someone like me who doesn't particularly enjoy city stays. Super easy to get around by walking, or by taxi (you can use the careem app or Uber), and many local buses go within Amman as well as buses to take you to other cities in the country. Options for local food are great for budget travelers (you can spend as little as 1 JD to get a good sandwich). I loved exploring the different neighborhoods around as well as the downtown area. Make sure to check out Hashem for its famous falafel and hummus. If you like Turkish bath houses, the Al-Pacha one was amazing and I would recommend it! The locals in the city are super friendly and helpful and not as pushy to sell you things or trying to take advantage of you which is also amazing.

A very authentic experience.
A very authentic experience. This was the first Arabic city I ever visited and I loved it. The landscape has a lot of hills so you should wear comfortable shoes and be ready to go up and down all the time.
Locals are very friendly and cheerful.
When it comes to food, you can find everything from cheap (but delicious) local food for as low as 1 EUR for a falafel set to posh, exquisite restaurants with a menu in English in the city center.
The whole city is a huge bazaar where you can buy anything.
There are not so many historic landmarks but the Citadel and the Roman Theater are nice, and the view from there is charming.

i would definitely recommend this city for travelers because it is a charming and colorful town it is true that it is a big city one of the biggest in the Middle East but it has everything for everyone. restaurants, bars old ruins, shops new ones and old style a like And it has wonderful and kind people anytime ready to help and to make your stay a wonderful experience. Moving around is easy despite the traffic could be hard sometimes, there are massive traffic jams at the rush hours but there are a great deal of taxis they are yellow and use meters the price is not high There is also Uber and the local Careem
Places to go, rainbow street for many it is the most beautiful street in Amman, you may try the best falafel in the Middle East at Al Quds there are many bars and restaurants and shops that sell souvenirs some good stuff. Downtown is a bustling area we bought coffee from one of the oldest coffee shops in town, there are also I think 3 Habiba sweets that sell baclava and kunafeh made in many ways The habiba sweets shop between King Faisal square and K Ghazi street it is said to be the original but they all have delicious sweets
The new area in the Abdali the Abdali boulevard and the Abdali Mall are worth a night out
The citadel is a must it is inhabited from the old times it was the center of the kingdom of Ammon and there are ruins from the period of the Romans and the Byzantines and also the Omayyad also a must is the roman theater in the Hashemite Square
For going out one may try the Paris Square in Jabal al Lweibdeh
Amman is the capital of an amazing country, it is a safe place to go
I loved it
We stayed at several hotels as part of a tour while in Jordan. We arrived a few days prior to our tour so needed our own hotel and it was by far the best hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the rooftop restaurant was pretty, Breakfast was amazing, staff was fantastic, location was okay a taxi or Uber was easy to get. across the street is a Trader Vic’s restaurant that was great. Our tour had us in the Mena Tyke hotel which is the starting point for many tour groups. The quality of the Corp Amman was far superior.
The location of hotel is on main street which could be positive or negative for someone. The location was extremely convenient for me as I wanted to catch the bus for King Hussain Bridge in morning and Jet bus Abdali station is 2min walk. The suite was large with king size bed. The 5 stars 🌟 I will give to the old man who checked me in in evening and made request for breakfast box for me to be ready morning 630am as I was going to catch bus 715am. Their breakfast starts at 8am usually, real Jordanian hospitality.
it’s was really bad experience to meet this hotel team they don’t respect you and specialty the man work in reservation
I will not stay there any more
and please you are came here to jordan to be happy in your holiday you are not coming to try hotel and see what is the best
they make very cheap price to bring you to the hotel and in the end you will sleep in place look like prison
there are many Beautiful hotels around just view meters from
you have to clean your hotel before you bring people to
Perfect location in the city center with the citadel, roman theater etc in walking distance. The rooms are big and comfortable. The hotel is on the main road but it's quiet nevertheless in the night and in the morning.
Very good breakfast and the best staff: Yahia, Bassam and all the staff go above and beyond to make your stay a wonderful experience. They've helped us to book a trip & tour for our whole stay in Jordan and gave us great recommendations for Amman, Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea.
I found this hotel on book*ng.com, it’s the cheapest hotel in Amman but the service is damn amazing. They have free breakfast in the morning, free water! So you don’t need to buy mineral water in the store. This is very important because in the summer Amman is very hot and humid. The bed is clean, and all the staffs are friendly. Mr Jaber (the owner) is a travel agent owner. He can give many information about tour and travel around Jordan. And you can book the service if you want!
The Hilton Amman really deserves its 5 stars! We got a room upgrade to the 14th floor, with an amazing view over the city in the eastern direction. Even though it's not located in the 1st circle/touristic center, it's very close to the center (compared to other hotels of this category), and at the same time it's conveniently reachable with the car (they also have valet parking!)
The breakfast was great, with lots of different options, even granola and pastries.
We wanted to book a hotel near downtown, upon checking reviews in Booking went blindly and booked the hotel, it exceeded our expectations, situated very near to the downtown and famous restaurant Hashems, Thair was a wonderful host, and ensured our stay was very comfortable, we ended up chatting for hours talking about Jordan and Amman. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Thank you Thair for being such a wonderful host!
It was downtown close to everyone. The hotel manager, Ibrahim, was fantastic! He set me up with several day tours all around the country. My driver, Adam, was also fantastic! I went to Petra, Wadi Rum Jeep ride, Aqaba, and around Amman. Great customer service! Always friendly, felt safe, and very affordable. They really want you to have the best experience, and I did! Dream trip! Highly recommend!! Thank you all!
Excellent stay at this hotel. We had the full, two bedroom/2 bath suite. Spacious and very very comfortable. Staff was good and professional. Wide array of options for breakfast. The hotel also has a gastropub for guests to dine in. It's just 4 mins walk to one of Amman's best restaurants (Fakhreldin) and just a couple of blocks away from the buzzy section of Rainbow Street. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
The breakfast was lovely and compared to the price-quality as well as other hotels in Jordan, it was perfect. The staff was very friendly, gave us information and always there to help. Beds were comfy and the room was overall clean (for Jordanian standards and compared to other 7 hotels). Distance from rainbow street just a couple of minutes and from downtown 10 minutes. Great choice in Amman
It was a quite new hotel
1) located in the center of the downtown Amman that is easy to find when navigating (next to the famous Hashem restaurant), close to the Rainbow Street and most of the main attractions in Amman;
2) great value for money for a spacious, private ensuite room equipped with all the necessities, unlike many places in Jordan;
3) with accommodating staff.
Really enjoyed staying at Wild Jordan center on our first visit to Amman. I don’t think you’ll find a better quality hotel situated right in the heart of the city - two minutes walk away from main street and Rainbow street. The rooms are spacious and clean with good amenities. The restaurant at the property is exceptional and the staff are eager to serve and please guests.
The Jordan hospitality is the best. The staff was very nice and helpful. They help to solve everything. The location of the hotel is very good. The rooms are big and clean, well-equipped as well. They clean the rooms every day,(change the towels as well). There is a rich assortment of foods every day. I recommend it if you want to stay an excellent hotel in Amman.
The hotel is excellently positioned, right at the heart of downtown, with most attractions within walking distance. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful, helping us navigate the city immediately. The rooftop terrace is wonderful. We stayed here twice during our Jordan trip and would definitely recommend the boutique hotel to anyone visiting Amman.
The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Their access to drivers in particular were an asset, and wherever you needed to go in the small country of Jordan you could've realistically gone to. The location in Weibdeh is alright - you need to walk up a lot of hills to get to the neighborhood's centre - but it's super accessible to downtown Amman.
First of all, the staff are very friendly and well trained. This is my first trip to Amman, Jordan, so I know nothing about the location. When I asked a bank and where to eat, they told me exactly what I expected with very friendly manner. The location of hotel is very close to busy street. I will come back to this hotel when I go to Amman.
It was the cleanest room we stayed in during our trip in Jordan. I liked comfy bed, stylish room and facilities. Location is great-just in the center of Amman in walking distance to Citadela and Roman Theater, and local market. Breakfast was also tasty, we highly recommend this hotel.
Very beautiful hotel with breath taking view for the city amman the service was excellent 5 stars plus with amazing stuff especialy an employe name obai give us anice room according to our order i recommended alot rotana hotel and i will come again for sure
Location, friendly of staff, facilities and everything was just perfect. It was our anniversary and everyone in the hotel did his best to make our occasion outstanding. No doubt I will be return again to Hilton Amman.
It was our last stay in Jordan, we enjoyed Amman thanks to the great location of the hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and the hotel was super clean.
