Position was amazing with a view to the peace dome and over the peace park from our room. The rooftop bar was also wonderful for a cocktail in the evening with views over Hiroshima to the surrounding mountains.

It is a powerful albeit sobering visit. The horror of the event is so clear when visiting the museam and monument. The town is loverly and eveywhere you see signs, art and street names evoking lover and peace. a testiment to the people who live there choosing positive sentiments today given the recent past. I think it is a good thing for prople to see and contempate.

Our guide Nob, picked us up at the hotel.
Our guide Nob, picked us up at the hotel. On the way to the ferry he explained the history of Hiroshima. The boat ride to Miyajima and the Itsukushima Jinja shrine was very scenic. After lunch we went back to town and the Atomic Dome - terrifyingly impressive - and the Peace Museum. Do not miss this experience.

Hiroshima is a beautiful, nice city, in which I would highlight the Hiroshima Castle, a park with a ginkgo tree, a beautiful city center with numerous watercourses and specific cuisine. Good for 2-3 nights
many points can be reached by easy walking
there is good public transport available for more distant points
but in bad weather there is nothing to do and staying overnight is enough

The Hiroshima tourist pass is great and cost effective.
The Hiroshima tourist pass is great and cost effective. I really like it. A very nice pretty lady went out of her way to show my way to the hotel on my first day navigating to the hotel. She even walked with me and offered to carry my luggage up the stairs because I looked so lost :)) She also went out of her way to accompany me to the Train 7 platform going to Chuden Mae. Too bad was not able to get her name. Very nice and helpful people. The map is easy to navigate after a few days. Just not aware there’s free hiroshima wifi. I could have skipped getting a subscribed plan for 5 days.

I visited the town in Sakura season, weather was pleasant which allowed me to discover all the local attractions on foot. Public transport, English speaking staff manning information desk at the station and hotel and shops was helpful.

I've been there before, and I just love it.
I've been there before, and I just love it. In many ways it's the perfect Japanese city. Well laid out, not so crowded, great facilities. The nightlife area is engaging, the public transport is (as always) first class. And the main reason for going there - the Hiroshima Dome - is as poignant and compelling as ever.
After paying your respects at the Dome, there are any number of other attractions that the city has to offer, including nearby Miyajima Island, which is a truly wonderful day out.
After staying at a couple hostels, it was nice to stay at this hotel for a change of pace. Room size was good (for Japan) and bathroom was nice. It was just good to have a decently sized desk in the room!
Location was great, close to a bus stop that goes to/from Hiroshima Station, about a ten min walk to the main east/west tram line, and right at the border of a busy nightlife area. Also very close to Hiroshima Peace Park and Museum.
They had a momiji vending machine in the lobby, which was interesting.
The Knot was a great hotel for our Hiroshima stay. Very close to the Peace Park and many of the sites downtown, and walking distance from some of the best food in the city (we especially enjoyed the Oknomimura :). The room had everything we needed, and the staff and facilities were fantastic. Especially enjoyed the restaurant downstairs, where we had a hearty western breakfast one of our mornings. Would definitely recommend!
I was travelling with my daughters and had one king room and one twin room. The hotel was very accommodating and ensured our rooms were close together. The hotel location was perfect for us as it was very close to the Hiroshima Station. They also stored our luggage prior to check in and offered to store it after check out. The room was clean, comfortable and very large. All amenities we could have asked for were supplied.
Convenient location near Hiroshima Station. Sparkling clean, generously sized suite. Beautiful view of the city from the tenth floor. Loved the balcony and especially the open air bath. Room was well equipped to cook meals and do laundry. Huge television on the wall. Closet space and sitting area. This was the nicest hotel I stayed at during my visit to Japan. And it wasn't the most expensive one either.
We were lucky to have a room on the top floor overlooking the river, which was beautiful. The hotel is a short 7-minute walk from Hiroshima station which is convenient, although it’s a longer walking distance (20-25 minutes) to what I would deem the “heart” of the city centre. The room was a great size and the bed was very comfortable. It was also exceptionally clean.
Short walking distance from Hiroshima station, as well as (paid) parking spaces nearby. Nice little onsen on the tenth floor with an outdoor air area -- enjoy the night air especially when it's cool. Nice view of the station and sunrise on one side of the hotel. Mostly quiet. Bed was comfy and the pillows were nice. Staff was courteous as usual. Coin laundry.
My room was comfortable, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the amenities were exceptional! If and when I return to Hiroshima, I will try and stay at this hotel first.
It was also very convenient that a majority of the staff spoke some English. I was never embarrassed or nervous when I couldn't say something in Japanese.
The location was very central and super close to everything I wanted to do and go to in Hiroshima. The train and markets were right outside the hotel. It definitely is a little outdated but after staying in hostels in other cities, it was nice to have a private space with a comfortable bed in a pretty spacious room!
if you're travelling to Japan and on the fence about booking a capsule hotel: don't hesitate and do it. we traveled with 3 friends - 1 woman, 2 men - and had a great time in the capsule hotel. bed was comfortable, facilities super clean, and we had a great stay in Hiroshima.
It is the closest hotel to the Hiroshima Atomic bomb dome building. The staff was so friendly and responsive. Couldn’t have had a better stay. It is a traditional Japanese hotel (sleep on a tatami mattress on the floor) so be ready for that.
Location is right at train station, just next door. We only stopped by for a nite at Hiroshima, so it was very convenient. The hotel room is a standard Japanese size hotel room, but not too small, nice and clean, modern.
Brilliant hotel in the city centre of Hiroshima. It provided absolutely everything what was needed for our stay. Breakfast in this place was fantastic. Great buffet and a lot of selection for anyone's taste.
We had problems with our luggages using Yamato Transport but Yuriko and all Hilton Hiroshima staff help us all the way through. Excellent Hotel staffs. Will come back again God willing!
The Hotel Graniva in Hiroshima was great. The room over looked the station, was spacious, staff were helpful and the room was well designed. Best hotel we have so far stayed in.
The staff was very accommodating on my departure date change.
Very close to the Hiroshima train station. A covered walkway leads to the hotel entrance from the station directly.
Great location, within walking distance of Hiroshima Station and many of the main sights in the city. The hotel is clean and welcoming, and I felt very comfortable staying here.
Beautiful hotel. Great facilities. Large spacious room. Was a little far away from the main attractions of Hiroshima (was a 5km walk) but there are buses etc.
