Not a lot to do in Fukuyama but I was planning to ride bikes in Ominichi (only 20minutes by train.) Tonomoura (only 30 minutes by bus) is a nice sea side town close by as well with an excellent cafe right in the point.
This is supposedly a thematic hotel meant for couples(hint). There are costumes for rent at the check-in lobby. However, it is also perfect for my stay. The room is incredibly spacious. The bed is comfortable, there's even a sofa and table. The shower is also big, with a Jacuzzi. It took me 10min to cycle from Fukuyama train station, normal travelers should consider local transportation. There's a huge Sports Depo and dining outlets within walking distance. I would consider staying here for the space in my future visits.
The breakfast buffet provided (which is not free, just for clarity) was plenty good, and even though the breakfast buffet at the hotel itself was closed for two of the three days of my stay, they allowed me to use my breakfast tickets at the next door hotel, which I guess has the same owner. The location was excellent, right next Fukuyama station and thus downtown Fukuyama. Having the Fukuyama Castle park a block away was a nice plus. The hotel and my room were clean; nothing to complain about regarding cleanliness.
Very convenient if you're going to see Fukuyama Castle or want to be close to the station to go via bus to Tomonoura for example. There is a mall nearby, a traditional 50s, 60s type shopping quarter too, and Fukuyama Station itself has a lot of stores and restaurants, so you can get anything you need. There is also a full grocery store on the B1 floor a couple of steps from the hotel, and an Animate as well for anyone interested in Japanese manga and gamer culture.
Homey, clean and cosy. The host was friendly and customer-oriented. Free coffee, green tea (on disposable cups, not shared mugs!), and chocolate sweets up for grabs. This would be my go-to place when I visit Fukuyama again. Within a walking distance from Matsunaga Station (15-20 minutes) and the central pharmacy with a wide range of food and beverages and other products at affordable prices!
The hotel location was pretty close to the train station, so we can reach the hotel by foot.
The interior is nice & it was quite roomy for a Japanese hotel.
The breakfast was included and although it wasn’t the most scrumptious meal, the lady who took care of our breakfast was very efficient and quick in serving it to go since she knew we were trying to catch a train. Love it!
The beds were big and the mattress was very comfortable. Everything was super clean and modern. The staff is nice and they give a free drink if you follow the hostel on Instagram. The location is also perfect, next to the station and castle. I really enjoyed my stay here. It’s perfect for one night.
Loved the interior, the super soft tanzen jackets, and how roomy it was compared to other Japanese hotels I've stayed at. Walking distance to everything: the castle (could see part of it from my window), the station, the mall around the station... Absolutely loved my stay here.
Excellent value for money. Rooms are clean and there is an onsen in the hotel. Tons of amenities are provided including pillows. Also free unlimited coffee. Breakfast in the morning is a great selection. Location is perfect being right next to the JR station.
Amazing facilities and clean. Everything and more for a stay in a true Love Hotel! Outdoor and indoor spas, wonderful amenities and vending machines and the breakfast was lovely. Thank you.
The location of the hotel is excellent being very close to main rail and bus station
Close to a shopping mall and tourist information centre
Taxi services operate outside the hotel
They were able to accommodate our group of 12 (3 families). Location was great for food and access to train and transportation. Hotel was clean, and parking was convenient.
The hotel is in a very good location. It’s clesn and staff was kind and friendly.
Also good as we could see Fukuyama castle from our room. It was just facing the room!
The location is awesome, and there's a 7/11 on the first floor of the building. It's also really close to the big night life area of Fukuyama, so big plus.
The place is clean, and the one room bed is quite huge for a dorm style hotel.
You can get a ticket to the sauna only for +550, so it's worth the price
