Yokohama is a nice place to travel and explore. It is smaller than the big neighbour Tokyo but this gives it its charm. Great places are Yokohama station, Minato Mirai, Sakuragicho and Shinko. In Sakuragicho you can take the cable car to Shinko which is a great area to walk around, eat, drink and shop. The Red Brick warehouse is also situated there, where they host events all year round and you can find unique souvenir shops and restaurants.
Yokohama station at first it may feel crowded but the moment you get out of the station things relax. Inside the station itself you can find many shopping opportunities and lots of good restaurants with delicious food. Minato Mirai and Sakuragicho are fantastic places if you like walking by the sea, eat well, have a good cup of coffee and enjoy your time. The cup noodles museum is also located there which is definitely worth a visit to have some fun for an hour and create your own cup of noodles.

We stayed at the MinatoMirai which is walking distance to most of the attractions like the pier district, museums and Chinatown.
Totally different from Tokyo, much more relaxed and the pier district was wonderful!
There was also a yummy anchovy based ramen near the Yokohama Station .... can't remember what it was but it was yummy!
So many attractions and interesting places to explore. Totally recommend a few days exploring Yokohama.

Yokohama is a city brimming with interesting places to visit, delicious food to sample, and history to learn. Not only that, but I’ve spent a lot of time in Japan, and no where else did I find such friendly people!
My favorite bite was at Central Burger off the Ishikawacho stop. They serve an amazing American style smash burger that they’ve made completely their own. I had to leave the states to find a burger THAT GOOD.
I was sorry to leave this great city.

Yokohama, a gem among the cities I've visited, truly encapsulates the essence of a modern yet culturally rich urban landscape. The city's charm lies not only in its stunning architecture and well-planned layout but also in the warmth and friendliness of its people, a trait synonymous with Japanese hospitality. Strolling through Yokohama, one cannot miss the iconic landmarks that define its skyline – the majestic Sail Training Ship Nippon Maru, a beacon of the city's maritime heritage, and the towering Ferris wheel that offers breathtaking views. The city is also a sanctuary for those seeking a blend of modernity and tradition, with its numerous temples and historical sites providing a tranquil escape. Every culinary experience here was a delight; the restaurants in Yokohama go above and beyond to offer exceptional service, ensuring each meal is not just about the exquisite Japanese cuisine but also about the overall dining experience. This harmonious blend of urban sophistication and cultural richness makes Yokohama an unforgettable destination.

A must see city during trip to Japan, esp when Gundam is still there. It's near Tokyo. The city is quite peaceful. You could walk around the seaside. Not to crowded. The pedestrian walk is huge. Awesome cities. They have China Town, you could find so many food restaurants, and shops.
From arrival to check-out, we were treated almost like royalty. The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful, even by the high standards for Japan. The hotel is gorgeous, with a magnificent and huge lobby atrium, and even the elevator hallway was stunning with what looked like precious metal doors with marble frames. Our room with an amazing view overlooking Yokohama Bay on a high floor was spacious, quiet, clean, and comfortable. I regret I did not have time to sample the breakfast or any of the restaurants but they all looked wonderful!
It's the best place I have stayed so far in Japan, clean, good location, staff is very helpful even if they don't speak a lot of english. I am staying at an APA hostel in Tokyo right now and I don't feel the same comfort I had at Tabist Mayudama Cabin. Near the Kannai Jr station, Yokohama stadium. The only you can have will be with customers, but not with staff work.
First and foremost this is a love hotel so be mindful of that, but it cannot be beaten price-wise. The facilities are excellent, huge rooms (biggest we've seen in Japan) with jacuzzi bathtub, in-room vending machine, hot/cold water dispenser, microwave and so on. The hotel is close to Shin-yokohama station and to the Ramen Museum (must see!).
This hotel is superb. The staff were so very friendly and helpful. We had a corner room in the tower with magnificent views north and east. The room was very spacious and comfortable. This was our last night in Japan after 24 days and it was a wonderful ending. The limousine bus to Haneda Airport leaves just from across the road.
The staff were very friendly and the rooms were kept very clean. The location was also very convenient for me during my stay. I also liked the breakfast buffet on offer and that there was two family marts within the hotel. I really enjoyed my time overall and will consider this hotel when I return to Japan in the near future.
The hotel is super close to Shin Yokohama station, just only less than 5mins walk. The hotel staff were nice and speak pretty good English. The lower level of 7/F to 1//F is for events, higher floors are rooms, we stayed in 13/F, just one floor shy of the top. Can have a good view of Yokohama if it weren’t the rain.
Modern and clean hotel with amazing views of the bay, city skyline, and Mt Fuji. Staff is organized, welcoming, and helpful. Location was near train station, shopping, and restaurants. Fitness center is clean and functional. Buffet breakfast had good variety and was good. Room and bed were comfortable.
Unlike many hotels in metro area in japan, this hotels lobby is on the first floor, which gave us so much ease to leave our luggage before checking in.
It is really close to the station (shin Yokohama - Shinkansen station before reaching Shinagawa) as well as Yokohama Blue line.
I love this hotel. I’ve stayed there 3 times and it’s my #1 choice in Yokohama. old world style with modern amenities. rooms are huge to large depending on tape. perfect location on Yamashita park. easy walk to Minato Mirai subway. love everything about it. staff wonderful.
The room was comfy and slightly larger by Japanese standards. The subdued lighting was great since we needed some good rest.
Everything was good. Front desk agents are a plus and were friendly. We enjoyed our room for the amount of time we spent in Yokohama
The location of the hotel was very convenient being approx. 5 minutes walk away from 2 train stations. The hotel room was clean and very spacious for Japanese standard. We stayed on a higher floor so the view was nice as well.
You could tell the hotel was a bit old but it was clean and the staff was polite and helpful.
The room was the standard for a Japanese hotel, it is small but quite comfortable and has plenty of amenities to choose from.
Everything about this hotel was of extremely high standard . Room was surprisingly large by usual standard in Japan . We were taking a cruise from Yokohama and hotel was a very short taxi ride .
Nice place. If you choose the right metro exit (exit 3 towards museum) you get at the door of the hotel. Perfect for the cruise departing from Yokohama (taxi is twice as expensive as Uber).
The hotel is quite new and most importantly very convenient location! We can easily walk from Yokohama station through Nissan building and even to Minato Mirai area and couldn’t ask more.
Close to the station, the staff was nice and breakfast was included
It had a window so the light came jnside in the morning (which is rare for budget Japanese hotels)
