It is a powerful albeit sobering visit. The horror of the event is so clear when visiting the museam and monument. The town is loverly and eveywhere you see signs, art and street names evoking lover and peace. a testiment to the people who live there choosing positive sentiments today given the recent past. I think it is a good thing for prople to see and contempate.

Our guide Nob, picked us up at the hotel.
Our guide Nob, picked us up at the hotel. On the way to the ferry he explained the history of Hiroshima. The boat ride to Miyajima and the Itsukushima Jinja shrine was very scenic. After lunch we went back to town and the Atomic Dome - terrifyingly impressive - and the Peace Museum. Do not miss this experience.

Hiroshima is a beautiful, nice city, in which I would highlight the Hiroshima Castle, a park with a ginkgo tree, a beautiful city center with numerous watercourses and specific cuisine. Good for 2-3 nights
many points can be reached by easy walking
there is good public transport available for more distant points
but in bad weather there is nothing to do and staying overnight is enough

The Hiroshima tourist pass is great and cost effective.
The Hiroshima tourist pass is great and cost effective. I really like it. A very nice pretty lady went out of her way to show my way to the hotel on my first day navigating to the hotel. She even walked with me and offered to carry my luggage up the stairs because I looked so lost :)) She also went out of her way to accompany me to the Train 7 platform going to Chuden Mae. Too bad was not able to get her name. Very nice and helpful people. The map is easy to navigate after a few days. Just not aware there’s free hiroshima wifi. I could have skipped getting a subscribed plan for 5 days.

I've been there before, and I just love it.
I've been there before, and I just love it. In many ways it's the perfect Japanese city. Well laid out, not so crowded, great facilities. The nightlife area is engaging, the public transport is (as always) first class. And the main reason for going there - the Hiroshima Dome - is as poignant and compelling as ever.
After paying your respects at the Dome, there are any number of other attractions that the city has to offer, including nearby Miyajima Island, which is a truly wonderful day out.
The location is arguably the best in Hiroshima. With easy access via bus from the Station, within easy walking distance of the Peace Park, Museum and the A Bomb Dome as well as central Hiroshima for restaurants and bakeries. It was also easy to access the day trip to Miyajima from here by public transport. The room was large with a great view, the hotel was clean and the decor was tasteful. Views from the top floor were excellent and the atmosphere was great.
The view is impressed, the beds are so comfy, location is good to the cable train, close to the Hiroshima atomic bomb dome.
The only thing that I didn’t like and gross me out was the lady cleaning at the reception/bar rooftop area… She was cleaning the bathroom, bar counter, tables, doors with the same cleaning clothes. I think that its extremely gross, bathroom and table where you eat, cross contamination. I will think twice before use hotel in the future.
As you walk into reception, the hotel certainly has a calm, pleasant feel about it. The staff were very friendly. I can't remember what floor we were on, but it was high up with great views of the city. The room itself wasn't massive but not as small as what I think the Japanese standard is in other cities. As expected, very clean. It's in a great location to explore the main parts of Hiroshima. It also offered great value for money. I'd recommend!
Short walking distance from Hiroshima station, as well as (paid) parking spaces nearby. Nice little onsen on the tenth floor with an outdoor air area -- enjoy the night air especially when it's cool. Nice view of the station and sunrise on one side of the hotel. Mostly quiet. Bed was comfy and the pillows were nice. Staff was courteous as usual. Coin laundry.
the location is awesome! also great value for money
near the Hiroshima peace park museum, arch, a-bomb dome. also the view is great for our room.
from Hiroshima station it’s a bus ride away if you want the nearest stop to the hotel. there are subways nearby but you’d have to walk about 6-8 min. the buffet view is good. buffet selection is Ok. not fancy.
Capsule Hotel Cube Hiroshima exceeded my expectations in comparison my previous experience at another capsule hotel in a different prefecture.
The capsule itself is spacious, and in the female lounge, the hotel provided numerous items (vanity kit) for hair care and skincare.
A bonus in itself is the location, it is right in front of the tram station.
Hotel Granvia is closely located to the station, with an entranceway directly off the station itself. Very convenient for anything around Hiroshima. The staff were efficient and attentive and highly professional. Very good value and convenient location. Breakfast buffet also excellent wiht wide selection of local foods including local specialties.
Huge structure few steps from the Peace Memorial Park of Hiroshima.
Staff is kind and professional, rooms are perfectly equipped and with a nice view.
Breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of food (Japanese and Continental).
Perfect balance price/value.
The fact that the hotel is not new gives even a more interesting touch to the experience
Lovely spacious and clean room with great amenities. Fantastic facilities (pool etc) and the staff were extremely helpful. They went above and beyond to help us during our stay. Breakfast was good with a lot of options. The hotel is a 20-25 minute walk to the main sites in Hiroshima. It’s very easily accessible from the train station.
I love staying Dormy Inn hotels because it's always nice to have Onsen and I love their breakfast. This one in Hiroshima met my expectations. The room was a bit small (which was the Japanese standard) but clean and quiet. Breakfast was amazing with local ingredients.
Small hotel but with all the required necessities. The hotel is close enough to go walking from Hiroshima station if you have a light baggage. Is close to some shoppings malls and close enough to go to several tourist places walking. Breakfast was nice.
I like everything about this hotel, it was very clean, located near to the Hiroshima station, buffet breakfast was good and good for vegetarians also. they took care of every single thing and provided everything equipment that you need.
Great value for money. The location was very central and most areas/sights of Hiroshima within walking distance. The room was very clean and with a great atmosphere. All in all a really nice hotel with central location in Hiroshima.
Location is right at train station, just next door. We only stopped by for a nite at Hiroshima, so it was very convenient. The hotel room is a standard Japanese size hotel room, but not too small, nice and clean, modern.
Very comfortable room and bed. Spacious room with couch and nice bathroom. Well located to explore Hiroshima and many restaurants and bars close to the hotel. TV is equipped with Chromecast so streaming is easy.
This is a good hotel in Hiroshima, just a short tram ride away from the main train station and centrally located. The rooms and hotel are modern and come with all of the amenities you would expect.
