The view of the lake is absolutely stunning, but it's quite disappointed that we didn't catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji. It's always a good idea for travelers to check the weather beforehand.

This is absolutely worth visiting when coming to Japan.
This is absolutely worth visiting when coming to Japan. There are endless things to do and everywhere you look, its so picturesque having Mt Fuji in the background. There are heaps of places to eat although they do get pretty full quickly and it does get packed with plenty of tourists during peak season. there are bike rentals you can hire to get around. Definitely stay for a few days in Fujikawaguchiko instead of competing with the crowds on a day trip, more convenient that way.

It was a great stay, I could have stayed longer.
It was a great stay, I could have stayed longer. We are planning to return next time for 3 nights. We stayed as a family of 4 with children. The internet was a hit or miss in the cabin, outside worked great! The site was spacious, safe and secure. Pillows were uncomfortable. We will return and book a bigger room next time. We walked around and saw other cabins, tents and cottages. We saw what we liked and what we will like to book in future. Staff were very nice! Highly recommend!

Beautiful town to visit.
Beautiful town to visit. The HotoFudo Noodle restaurant is worth it. Few restaurant options and long waiting lines. We used the red and green buses to get around. They were very crowded and we had to stand most of the time. The autumn foliage and festival season was crowded but definitely worth it. The Maple Corridor and Oishi Park are spectacular. Next visit I would go by car and not depend on public buses.

Ropeway was under repair when we were there.
Ropeway was under repair when we were there. Train/bus schedules were the most accurate at the station. The pagoda is definitely worth a visit but you need to be prepared to walk and climb stairs, a few 100s of stairs!
The attractions open and close as they please it seems. We travelled to theanga cat museum after online information indicated that it was open. When we arrived though, it was closed!
Oh by the way, don't bother to queue for that bowl of udon noodles from Fudohodo opposite to the train station. It tasted very average. Walk further up to eat at the tempura restaurant, that one was great and reasonably priced.

Stayed in this hotel on two weekdays. The staff kindly upgraded my room to the Japanese room with the lake view, that was a surprise and welcoming bonus. Their customer service was wonderful. The staff were attentive, easy to communicate, and friendly. The traditional Japanese room with futon was lovely. It's dated but clean and warm. The location is nearby two bus stops so easy access to main attractions. The bus schedule may not be as frequent on weekdays. It is possible to walk to nearby attractions if you are a walker.
This hotel is gorgeous! And has stunning views right of Mt. Fuji - unfortunately we only stayed one night and wasn’t very visible in the morning however it cleared up during the day as we explored the town and I can only imagine the view you’d actually have if it was clear during your stay. It’s only a short walk from the station and a few near by restaurants. The rooms are quite big - biggest ones we’ve stayed in while travelling Japan. Staff are lovely and check in and out is very easy.
I got a room with window looking out to Mt Fuji. Woke up to incredible nice view of the majestic mountain from our futon. Dining hall have full length glass panels and we dined with Mt Fuji as backdrop. Breakfast and dinner buffets have good spread of Chinese / western / japanese dishes and drinks as well. Hotel provided complementary shuttle bus to Kawaguchiko station at 30mins intervals, public onsen was clean and spacious, etc.
The staff was super friendly. I loved the Japanese style room with the lake view. The room was spacious. The location is great, with lake view and the sight seeing bus (red line) that stops almost in front of the hotel. I also strongly recommend booking a Japanese breakfast, this was quite an experience! I also appreciated the shuttle bus to Kawaguchiko station, especially since it was snowing when I left.
It's my first time to visit Lake Kawaguchi and appreciate Mount. Fuji. Landlord can speak decent English. You can place your luggage before you check in and after you check out, which makes us convenient to make the most of time on our journey. Moreover, you can enjoy the hot spring and enjoy the Mount Fuji at the same time. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to have a trip near Mount Fuji.
A slightly dated hotel, but the unique atmosphere, very friendly staff and great breakfast (including local hoto noodles) make up for it. There is a nice sento style common bath at the top (!) floor from where you can see mount Fuji. I can recommend staying in a Japanese style room, which was spacious and a windows to the nearby lake Kawaguchi as well as mount Fuji.
The room we got had a good view of the majestic Mount Fuji. The location of the hotel is near tourist spots like the Panoramic Ropeway, Fujiyama Cookie store and ferry boat tour. Breakfast is also good, and the rooms are spacious enough. Hotel rates are practical compared to nearby hotels.
Views of Mt Fuji in from of Shoji Lake. Every room has exceptional views. The rooftop view deck is amazing. The owner, his son, and other hotel employees are very engaged and want to make you as comfortable as possible. The outdoor Japanese open air bath is relaxing and clean.
real ryokan operation, good breakfast and it’s located in front of the lake and near the rope way. the shuttle bus will operate during 8-10 am only from/to Kawaguchiko Sta. to the hotel so pls schedule your time. the staff tried to help you in English but not good enough.
Wow. What an amazing hotel to have the authentic Japanese experience. We loved the room so much, the open air bath was just amazing after a long day, the room was big and comfortable. The tatami beds were great.
Breakfast was interesting, but not for everyone.
The room is very clean and breakfast is excellent. The staffs are very helpful, they helped us contact the insurance of our rental car.We really appreciated that. We’ll definitely come back and stay at Fuji view hotel next time we visit Kawaguchiko.
Free shuttle to and from Kawaguchiko station, view of mt. Fuji outside the hotel at the back, free buffet breakfast, tastes good, we love the curry rice and the bread, short walk to Kawaguchiko lake with the best view of Mt. Fuji, value for money
Nice hotel. 10-15 minutes walk from kawaguchiko station. 5 minit from mini market, drug store, and supermarket. My second time stayed in this hotel. Lower prices compared other hotels, but facilities are good enough for me. Will come back again
This hotel has very good views of Mt Fuji and the deluxe room is relatively large when compared to other hotel rooms in Japan. Breakfast options are ok and there is a shuttle bus to ferry hotel guests to and fro Kawaguchiko Station and Fuji Q.
Near Kawaguchi lake, great view of Mt Fuji from my room, Family Mart just downstairs, shower room is best, great japanese style beds with tatami, helpful staff to arrange taxi for us, bus stop in front of hotel.
Nice hotel with a stunning view of Mount Fuji from the Hollywood room. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby. You can leave your luggage at the reception before checking in. The staff is helpful.
Best Hotel in Lake Kawaguchiko (probably whole Japan).
The breakfast was so clean and fresh.
In room onsen was so good after walking around the lake and before the check-out to refresh you.
So spacious. Superb breakfast and dinner. Should include meals if stay in this hotel. Very near the red line bus station. Awesome view at observatory. Recommended.
