We stayed at the MinatoMirai which is walking distance to most of the attractions like the pier district, museums and Chinatown. Totally different from Tokyo, much more relaxed and the pier district was wonderful! There was also a yummy anchovy based ramen near the Yokohama Station .... can't remember what it was but it was yummy! So many attractions and interesting places to explore. Yokohama is a city brimming with interesting places to visit, delicious food to sample, and history to learn. Not only that, but I’ve spent a lot of time in Japan, and no where else did I find such friendly people! My favorite bite was at Central Burger off the Ishikawacho stop. They serve an amazing American style smash burger that they’ve made completely their own. I had to leave the states to find a burger THAT GOOD. I was sorry to leave this great city.

A must see city during trip to Japan, esp when Gundam is still there. It's near Tokyo. The city is quite peaceful. You could walk around the seaside. Not to crowded. The pedestrian walk is huge. Yokohama is beautiful.
Yokohama is beautiful. Just do go there and enjoy the place, food, people and the sea. In addition, there is an ice rink in winter. The Washington Hotel is a great place to stay and there are plenty of restaurants and in the hotel complex and in the surrounding area. The Washington hotel is one stop past JR Yokohama station. It can be confusing but worth the trip. Or you can walk. It is a long walk so better to take the train.MarkAustralia - 10Scored 10

The bay area is lovely to walk in the evening, so many malls and parks around there. The landscape and public area are gorgeous considering for a big city. If you are a car guy, not only visit Nissan Global HQ but also go further to the Nissan engine museum which is basically the old building of their Yokohama factory, few people know this place but the collection of their legendary engines and heritage is worth a visitKrirkchaiThailand

There is a convenience store right at the entrance in case you need anything that the amenities do not provide. In addition to standard amenities, you can borrow other items from the hotel as well (for example, my son got a hang nail and we were able to borrow some nail clippers). Check-in and check-out is automated and very smooth. Also, the tap watered is filtered and you can drink it.
