From start to finish the staff were wonderful. Loved the complimentary afternoon tea then later great light food and complimentary drinks from 5.00 - 7.00. The ambience of the hotel and furnishings were great. The view from the bedroom over the lake was spectacular. Room was spacious with complimentary clothing for the Onsen. Breakfast was great. Generally a wonderful experience.

The hotel seemed too expensive compared to where we usually stay in other countries. We knew that Japan was expensive , and there was not much else available in that period. The good surprises were that food and drinks, including wine and cocktails, were available without limits. The Onsen was also free (except the private bath which we tried, and did not add much value). The hotel has a free shuttle that picks you up at the station and is located right next to the funicular. There is also a tourist bus stop next to the hotel. Although Mount Fuji is not visible from the hotel, the rooms have large windows with a fantastic view of the Kawaguchiko lake.

Amazing hotel, the best one we stayed at in Japan! Beautiful room and view over Lake Kawaguchiko. Great value for money since they serve free buffets with hot and cold dishes 3 times a day, breakfast, tea and cocktail hour. You can eat all your meals there. Also for cocktail hour alcoholic drinks are free and they have a good selection of spirits from around the world. Calm, spa like feeling in the hotel with women & men onsen and privet onsen (45min per booking). Super close to the Fuji view cable car.

An amazing place to stay with a very relaxing vibe, absolutely loved the semi open-air public bath. The staff was friendly and helpful. Meals were included, breakfast, afternoon tea and a light supper; buffet style.

Loved, loved, loved, the service provided by the staff who were always ready to go the extra mile especially Keruna, Oyadama, Hitomi, Rai and Shirakabe- whether it was information about the area and assisting in planning what to do, shuttle services to the station, ordering food delivery, or just simply greeting us and welcoming us back from a long day, they always made us feel an overwhelming sense of being home. I worked for the Ritz-Carlton and I never thought I’d find service like this any where else but found it here comparable only to the full length-window amazing views of Lake Kawaguchi in a true traditional Ryokan style. They also had a quiet open air onsen overlooking the said Great Lake available all day except from 10AM-2PM. To top it off, it was located near the ropeway and sightseeing boat, along with it being a short hike to Tenjoyama park which offers amazing views of Mount Fuji.

You can rent yukatas during your stay which adds to the experience! The view from your bedroom was very pretty. The onsen itself was very relaxing. The bathroom was big and clean and the beds were comfy. An overall very pleasant stay!

The views are incredible, the shuttle to and from the train station is very helpful and the bus to other areas just at the bottom of the hill which was handy. In walking distance to a few nice shops.
