The room is modern, great ocean view with a big balcony, lost of privacy and the bathtub with ocean view is amazing! The hotel is very nice and the staff did their best to help and answer all our questions. We took a private tour to the famous Moss Forests and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide! She was super knowledgeable and went out of her way to make our hike an unforgettable experience (Mish Higashi). We where able to rent all the hiking gear that we needed for our tour.

We stayed in the Umisora wing of the hotel. The rooms were newly renovated, up to date, and very comfortable and the hotel was more luxe than we had expected. Handy location when arriving on the ferry. Staff was prompt and helpful. We enjoyed the public bath after a day of hiking and sight seeing.

The hotel was the key to our Yakushima trip's success. We definitely could've done more research or had similar service in other stays, but the staff were extremely patient, welcoming, and resourceful for everything Yakushima. We had many arrangements made at the time of our arrival, and we just could not have done it without their guidance. As for the other areas of the hotel: our room (and path to our room) had an amazing view of the ocean and mountains; the public bath was not crowded at all, so most of the time it felt very private; the food was incredible and we rarely had to leave our hotel for any more food; there's a convenient bus stop (at certain times) for the hotel specifically; the rental services for hiking gear came in very handy for some gear we didn't bring; and, again, the staff were excellent. I could not have experienced a better stay at Yakushima, and my partner and I look forward to coming back!
