Easy town to move around. Not that many pedestrian walkways. From my last visit(2023) there is an upgrade though. Need for more coffee places. The beach areas could be more cleaner. For coffee and lovely delicious snacks,go to Malaika restaurant opposite the Buntwani Beach Front. Walking is the healthiest way to move around Malindi, just don't give a visual contact with the boda boda taxis( you will ride unwillingly!) Avoid the Tikka chicken with coloured(yellow) spicing.

The information on Booking.com about Malindi is an accurate representation of what I found on site. I visited the following places: Galana Shopping Centre Vasco da Gama Pillar Portuguese Chapel Malindi Marine National Park. I occasionally ate out from a wide range of restaurants in the city centre. It was quite easy to move around Malindi and I currently have no experience of places to avoid while in Malindi.

Laid back lifestyle, great beaches, wonderful Italian pizzas. Vasco Da Gama pillar and Portuguese chapel are right there. Museums need updating. Not a huge amount to do in Malindi but if you want to get out and about, Hell's Kitchen in Marafa is worth visiting. It is a mini mini Grand Canyon. Karibuni villas in Mambrui is also nice - clearest sea water you ever saw.

The staff was amazing! The manager and Owner as well. Friendly and just felt like family. The pool was clean and deep(3m). The beach is next to the apartment/hotel. Every weekend there would be something happening. Ie DJ and band. Vasco de Gama was close by. Swahili dishes restaurant and Pizzerias near by. Made daily life easier. It was so great I stayed here from Dec till Jan! For three weeks! Sarah, Martin, Fiona and the rest of the team, Thank you for a great stay!

The food is exceptional, especially the 4 course Diner. The Hotel has no access to the ocean and therefore is quiet and secure and has lavish swimming-pools. In easy 5 minutes walking distance there`s the "White elephant" which for a small fee offers everything you could wish for a day at the beachfront, with an added value of a very interesting art and culture space. A lot of other beaches are just a short drive away.

The rooms were really nice with a beautiful view! We chose the sea view and could see mostly jungle with a bit of the ocean in the distance, very pretty. The staff were always smiling and kind. A short walk to the beach and a beach side bar with chairs was perfect for us! We liked that the area didn't feel as touristy as other areas of Malindi but it was still close enough to nice restaurants and shops.

The white Elephant is more than just a place to stay, it’s an experience! I stayed here for a few days after my safari and it was the perfect ending to an already amazing adventure. The hotel is set amidst a tropical jungle and outdoor art gallery, and is right on the Indian Ocean. Imagine having your meals right off the beach! And the staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating.

Bliss Home is very clean and comfortable. There are big windows in the bedroom and lounge room and sliding doors out to the verandah. Everything is new and modern and it is very safe. The rooms are cooled by fans. A cool breeze comes in to each room which is fabulous. It has everything you need and there are not many apartments in Malindi at this cheap price. It is very private. Than you Prudence!

The staff were very friendly and helpful even suggesting places to visit. Of note is Bernard (Manager), Mugande (housekeeping) and Furaha (security). The pool was clean and we all had loads of fun in the 3 tier pool. The location is perfect with ease of access to town and the beach. The property is quiet and allows for a good rest.

Everything, the big space in the main room. Spacious and clean bathroom an adequate kitchen for at least making breakfast, we didn’t cook. The patio with the breeze and view of the sea and the proximity to our favourite beach restaurant in Malindi. This place is perfect and we will definitely be back.

We (2 adults, 1 kid) really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, staff very efficient. The pool was amazing and we loved our access to the beachfront. The area is also near lots of restaurants, so we were able to try several food and dining experiences. I will definitely plan for another stay here.

It's a beachfront hotel with direct access to the ocean. You have stunning ocean views from the rooms overlooking the sea or the beach seats. Suppose you like a sandy and accessible beach. In that case, this is the place to be. More importantly, the staff is very helpful and hospitable.
