Villa Mela, Malindi, hotel in Malindi

Featuring a lush garden with a pool, Villa Mela, Malindi is located in Malindi, within 500 metres of the Indian Ocean. It has a restaurant and a bar, and offers massages and a fitness area.

The place is absolutely amazing, very clean. Stephen, Ngala and Joseph are the best. They made us feel like we were home away from home despite it being a business trip. The seafood meal chef Ngala prepared was better than any 5star restaurant we've dined at. The breakfast by the pool was great as well.

Easy town to move around. Not that many pedestrian walkways. From my last visit(2023) there is an upgrade though. Need for more coffee places. The beach areas could be more cleaner. For coffee and lovely delicious snacks,go to Malaika restaurant opposite the Buntwani Beach Front. Walking is the healthiest way to move around Malindi, just don't give a visual contact with the boda boda taxis( you will ride unwillingly!) Avoid the Tikka chicken with coloured(yellow) spicing.

The information on Booking.com about Malindi is an accurate representation of what I found on site. I visited the following places: Galana Shopping Centre Vasco da Gama Pillar Portuguese Chapel Malindi Marine National Park. I occasionally ate out from a wide range of restaurants in the city centre. It was quite easy to move around Malindi and I currently have no experience of places to avoid while in Malindi.

Laid back lifestyle, great beaches, wonderful Italian pizzas. Vasco Da Gama pillar and Portuguese chapel are right there. Museums need updating. Not a huge amount to do in Malindi but if you want to get out and about, Hell's Kitchen in Marafa is worth visiting. It is a mini mini Grand Canyon. Karibuni villas in Mambrui is also nice - clearest sea water you ever saw.

My husband and I had an amazing time in this hotel, specially because of the workers. Maurice and the other employees has been so kind and helpful to us. I recommend to try the fresh cooked lunch or dinner from the lady, it was very delicious, it was nice to try kenyan food. Also the breakfast was perfect aswell. The hotel is very beautiful and clean, the swimming pool very good aswell. To us there is absolutely nothing bad to notice. Thank you to Maurice and all the other employees. I would love to come back to stay there again, no regret.

From the moment I approached, saffron Garden located on one of the quiet streets in Malindi, surrounded by beautiful, stately villas. I knew I was someplace special, the simplicity of reception area overlooking the refreshing swimming pool and massive boabob tree and the famous Hob restaurant where I took my breakfast every morning. The hotel offers excellent Wi-Fi and different activities throughout the day and night. I have stayed at many, four and five star hotels throughout Malindi and I think I found my new favorite.

Think twice before choosing a Resort/Hotel in Malindi. The property is in a great, secluded, yet very safe location. It is surrounded by nature, steps from an International hospital, and many other pleasant characteristics. The breathtaking structure and vast garden makes this guesthouse a one of a kind. The most amazing thing it has been the great hospitality, the love, care and attentions of the host. This is a hidden gem in Malindi. Highly suggested.

Bliss Home is very clean and comfortable. There are big windows in the bedroom and lounge room and sliding doors out to the verandah. Everything is new and modern and it is very safe. The rooms are cooled by fans. A cool breeze comes in to each room which is fabulous. It has everything you need and there are not many apartments in Malindi at this cheap price. It is very private. Than you Prudence!

I loved everything about Lion in the Sand, especially the outdoor. It is beautifully landscaped and very quiet and relaxing. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. There is a shuttle that takes you to Billionaire Resort for the beach access and dinner options. It's less than 5 minutes away. I recommend this place if you prefer a quiet resort with an incredible staff.

We chose this hotel because it is on the first line and the room has its own access to the beach. We wanted to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and wake up with a view of the sunrise. The hotel assured us that they are safe, they have their own security on a private beach, which is on duty in front of our room.
