The information on Booking.com about Malindi is an accurate representation of what I found on site. I visited the following places:
Galana Shopping Centre
Vasco da Gama Pillar
Portuguese Chapel
Malindi Marine National Park.
I occasionally ate out from a wide range of restaurants in the city centre. It was quite easy to move around Malindi and I currently have no experience of places to avoid while in Malindi.

Laid back lifestyle, great beaches, wonderful Italian pizzas. Vasco Da Gama pillar and Portuguese chapel are right there. Museums need updating. Not a huge amount to do in Malindi but if you want to get out and about, Hell's Kitchen in Marafa is worth visiting. It is a mini mini Grand Canyon. Karibuni villas in Mambrui is also nice - clearest sea water you ever saw.

The marine park was the exception as we enjoyed the island and the exploration of different types of fish in the deep sea.
Watamu beach was a wonderful place as we enjoyed swimming and being in the sand.
We visited the Vasco da Gama pillar and the Portuguese chapel where we even had a prayer session as a family. The tour guide was much informed about the history.
We cooked our own food and enjoyed fresh seafood
With our own vehicle, it was easy to move around very fast.
Unfortunately, we missed experiencing the sunset at Mida creek
I would avoid having fewer days of stay.
Diwani Cottage was a great experience. The studios with a/c and balcony views of pool and beachfront can't be understated, they offer good value and allow prepping your own meals since there are no meals options. If you dont mind eating out options are pretty close and normal rooms would suffice. Hot shower was really good. Housekeeping changed bedding and towels everyday. It was great. We requested and got a late checkout that we really appreciated. Yusra, Fondo and the housekeeping team went above and beyond thank you so much
The neighborhood is posh, quiet and very beautiful. Green walkways with the breathtaking coastal summer feel in the air. Walking to the beach during sunset was the highlight of my stay. Great location, convenient for me to take the unforgettable boat excursion in Malindi Marine park to the beautiful Sardinia island. The whole stay felt like a dream. Definitely coming back! The experience is truly great than what's portrayed on the pictures.
We had an amazing stay, this hotel is the perfect place to relax.
The rooms are big and confortable, the pool is amazing, the food is delicious and the staff is really friendly.
The hotel is located just a few meters from the beach.
Alex, the GM can organise really nice excursions and he makes sure you will have a great stay.
We definitely recommend this hotel
The proximity to the beach
The availability of a tour guide Mr. George, very professional, respectful, and understand the clients needs👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾.
The staff are friendly professional and informative 🙌
This is the place to be hope you can include buffet and African foods in your restaurant
The place is beyond words🥰❤We loved our stay, we stayed in house number 1 and it was amazing and clean. The staff were friendly, helpful and respectful.
The place is walking distance to the beach, Tuktuk to supermarket.
For sure everytime am in malindi am staying there.
Unbelievable value for money, beautiful villa with outdoor area, well stocked kitchen, good wifi with netflix, massive comfortable bed.
Short walk to supermarket.
Had a small issue but was resolved immediately.
Highly recommend, one of our favourite stays in Kenya!

Everything was great from the time we arrived. Our entire stay was lovely, food was great, COVID protocols maintained. The beach, pool were immaculate. It was really difficult for us to leave but that's how I know we'll be back
Lydia is a very good host and also helped organize someone to help us move around Malindi.
The house looks exactly as the pictures, Very clean compound with a very clean pool and walking distance to the beach.
It was in near the beach, but the picture they show of the fence in the beach is from other hotel. The pool was clean. The bedrooms were clean. Even though the complete experience was a horror movie.
Perfect for groups & couples, location is great close to town, silver rock beach is right there 5min walk, just beautiful, complements to the chef food was great, pool table was great to have
The serenity of palm beach villas is on another level. A very quite place and friendly staff. A nice place to relax or even work away from the hustles of the city. I loved it
From the onset, our host was incredibly hospitable, showed us around and ensured that we had everything we needed. Will surely return whenever we are visiting Malindi.
Mr. Bernard is the best. He was very helpful and supportive. The room was good and the hotel in general is well maintained. Rooms are spacious and well equipped.
