Nairobi compared to Dar es Salaam is a great developed city and has lots of fun activities for all ages. Kids love it as they get to play bowling, go to different and fun play areas like Under The Sea at The Village Market etc.

loved Nairobi elephant orphanage and giraffe Centre a must - we also saw Bomas of Kenya and some museums. Also visited a tea farm which was a great relaxing day. Restaurants we visited were very nice. People very friendly - easiest way to get around is make sure you have uber app although be careful of them trying to hike price up when they realize you are tourists. Try not to arrange visits for peak travel time as roads are extreamly busy and can be scary. Also if there it is an absolute must to book safari.

I like that there are small privately owned shops and street hawkers. I prefer shopping at individual stalls as opposed to a department store. The food at The Olive Restaurant is a good value. I'd love to look around Simlaw Seeds; I used to have a farm and will return to farming.

Our favorite spot was National Park Safari.
Our favorite spot was National Park Safari.
We ate hot food from Quick Mark and the The Big Knife across the from apartment.
You must have a good driver to get around Nairobi as we did.
We would avoid the malls and shop at the village market for a better discount.
Excellent location right in the Nairobi CBD. Nice, clean rooms, great breakfast with a view of the Nairobi skyline from the 10th floor of the hotel. Super helpful front desk staff as well as surrounded by all kinds of shops from a supermarket right next door (NaiVas /open until 21h30), an array of restaurants, BATA shoes shop (safari boots) etc. Also a plus is a nearby boarding point for Nairobi-Arusha shuttles at the nearby Monrovia Streets for tjose traveling to Tanzania overland.
The hotel is not far from the Nairobi international airport and very close to the Nairobi National Park, the Bomas of Kenya, the Giraffe orphanage, the Elephant orphanage, the city center, the National Museum, and other places worth to visit. I chose it since it was close to my place of work and was pleasantly surprised by all other places I could easily visit. The personnel was perfect - professional, friendly, supportive. One more thing - the coffee was delicious!
Wonderful stay in comfortable hotel. Excellent location in Westlands with easy access to matatu stage. With wonderful luxury international restaurants around but also nice restaurants for simple local food. Naivas supermarket and shopping center around the corner. Clean, fresh linen and towels, friendly staff. I arrived from Naivasha and the matatu stage is literally around the corner. This is now my go-to hotel, if I come back to Nairobi, can definitely recommend.
As a budget Apartment it is acceptable. Wi-Fi speed is very good. The assistant, “Naomi” is helpful. Although the building is located in the center of the city (CBD), which is crowded and it is said to be unsafe, the building has a 24-hour security guard and is monitored by CCTV. That's why it has good security. The apartment and toilet is clean and there is a hot shower. The Kitchen is equipped with enough appliances.
This hotel is very good for travellers arriving at night and do not want to take a taxi to Nairobi town. The hotel is within the airport-area and there is a very good complimentary shuttle.
It is also good as a stay before a flight as one is assured of speedy access to the departure area and no risk to be caught up in a traffic jam.
The breakfast is absolutely excellent.
The services were amazing! Very clean rooms, amazing toilet, everything was absolutely clean and tidy!! Thumbs up to the management and the entire kitchen crew!! You guys made my stay very awesome and would recommend anyone visiting Nairobi to consider Hemak Suites Hotel. The value of the money was worth the stay and services rendered.
Best wishes

This is a wonderful hotel. Our family of four stayed for one night in transit and found the rooms to be extremely quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was lovely and very clean.
We were picked up from the airport by the shuttle service quickly and the driver was helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay again when in Nairobi. No complaints, it was great!
Perfect place to stay in Nairobi! Really a discovery! The location, the hotel room, the reception team, everything was amazing. I highly recommend this place to anyone who stays in Nairobi! Really hard to find a better price/quality! Special mention to the team that helped us to the airport and gave us recommendations for our stay. Will be back for sure.
The hotel is in a quiet location in Westlands/ Nairobi.
The reception staff are friendly and provide any requirements needed. They are also very welcoming. The breakfast prepared by Caleb Walucho and quite great with a variety of choice. The barman Mvovi and Bryan
provides excellent service. Not forgetting good room service.
We stayed here for one night after flying into Kenya. Our transportation was waiting for us as we arrived, very nice gentlemen. The staff was very friendly upon arrival. Quiet area. A little far from the airport but we didn’t have to fly out the next day so it was fine. Overall, a very nice Best Western.
Relatively close to the airport (20 minutes by taxi), so no need to travel to or through central Nairobi.
The room and the hotel in general were clean enough.
As is often the case in Kenya, the staff were generally friendly and helpful and were open to negotiation.
Golden Tulip is a nice hotel in Nairobi Westlands. The location is good and we always felt safe. The room was spacious with a great view from the window. Good breakfast, nice food at the restaurant on the 10th floor. Staff is very nice and professional
You wont find a better value for money hotel in Nairobi. Extremely clean, good amenities, amazing rooftop bar with a fantastic view of the city, quirky and modern aesthetic, located right next to village market mall. You really cannot ask for more.
The hotel was located close to where I had to be, that's why I chose it. It is in the Westlands of Nairobi and therefore in a very good and rather safe area. pleant of restaurants and malls nearby, easily reached by Uber. Staff is not overbearing
Best sized rooms in Nairobi absolutely spotless and quiet in this busy city. every thing just worked perfectly.Having stayed in many big brand hotels in town this has to be the best value stay ever.
The apartment that I book online at booking.com .Homes by Della - Sebuleni Westlands, Lantana Road, Westlands One Urban, 1st Floor, Nairobi, Kenya wasn't the same as I booked.
