The hotel is very central located, in walking distance to the market and imperial buildings and temples. We booked a tour to see all the interesting spots in Pnomh Penh , a tour to the Buddha temple which is 50 km outside .
The breakfast is on the rooftop terrace with a beautiful view to the Tonle Sap and the Mekong. Would definitely stay there once again. Two good restaurants at the corner in the same street riverside,

While the location wasn't terrible, we did have to contend with some noise due to construction next to the hotel, with drilling sounds persisting from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. On the upside, breakfast was plentiful and satisfactory. The staff was friendly, although we did encounter a slight language barrier.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Aquarius! The infinity rooftop pool was fantastic- with great views of Phnom Penh! Our room was clean & bright. I loved that they had local art exhibited on each floor. They also had very good breakfast options that included both buffet options & ordering specific dishes. The location was also very good & walkable to a number of the main sites. The staff were all very friendly & helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Cambodia has successfully dusted itself off from the ravages of war with its colourful capital of Phnom Penh rising from the ashes and sparkling once more. This fascinating city, on the banks of the Mekong River, features exotic markets, cultural jewels and is home to some of the friendliest people on earth.
A visit to the National Museum captures a slice of Cambodia’s ancient Khmer history and art. A different and more recent history suffocates and overwhelms visitors to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, the former prison of the Khmer Rouge, and The Killing Fields are a short drive from the capital.
The Royal Palace is a striking centrepiece in the centre of Phnom Penh, and is home to the Emerald Buddha and Silver Pagoda. Not far away is the Cambodian Independence Monument that celebrates Cambodia’s sovereignty.

We really enjoyed our trip to Phnom Penh, we traveled as a family of 6 and had a wonderful local tuk-tuk driver that managed to fit us all in lol that was truly an experience!! He took us to many places and we were able to experience Phnom Penh in a way we didn't expect which was amazing.
We stayed at the Peninsula Phnom Penh which was great value for money and a beautiful place to come back to at the end of the day. The rooftop pool was fantastic and live music was a wonderful bonus.

It's pretty much a business city.
It's pretty much a business city. For something more cultural consider going to Siem Reap. When traveling within any of the cities in Cambodia, I would recommend using "PassApp." It operates much like Bolt which looks at your current GPS location, and asks where you want to go to. You can then select the mode of transportation. The tuktuks in Cambodia have all been modernized, but are quite small compared with Thailand. They can comfortably fit 2 people and a couple of small suitcases in the back. You might fit 3 people at a stretch. If you select "Rickshaw" it's the old style tuktuk which is basically a trailer hooked to a motorcycle. These are much more expansive and can fit 6 people and a couple of good sized suitcases. Otherwise they have standard passenger cars and SUVs available as well. DO NOT engage a driver directly from the street by flagging them down. You WILL get ripped off. If you use the app, the price is fixed and you won't get ripped off. Another thing to watch out for is most cash machines allow you to received US dollars or Camobian Real. If you select USD, you'll probably get a single $100 bill. There are a lot of fake bills floating around and your $100 might get refused. Also, most of the small vendors don't have the change for $100 so you're stuck. My advice is to receive money on Cambodian Real for the most flexibility. The exchange rate fluctuates wildly, so be sure to check daily and be prepared to do the calculations quickly!

Phnom Penh is a bustling Asian city.
Phnom Penh is a bustling Asian city. So much traffic and vibrancy. The city itself is safe. Culturally there's a lot to see and experience. There's a wide variety of hotels to choose from, from budget options to 5 star luxury. Travelling around the city on a tuk tuk is a great experience. You can usually negotiate for the driver to drive you around for the day for around $15. Four people can comfortably fit in one tuk tuk. 5-6 is a squeeze.
Most restaurants serve Asian food on their menus, but over the years more and more western food restaurants are emerging. There's some great cafe's with really good coffee.
Don't drink the tap water, just stick with bottled water.
The markets are great. The most popular being the Central Market and the Russian Market.
Cambodia's history has incredible tragedy in its recent past. There are museums and tourist destinations highliting this history, which for some people can be incredibly overwhelming and upsetting. I would say that it's something everyone should visit, but they are very confronting and some people that I have travelled with took a few days to process what they saw.
One thing that always amazes me that Cambodian people are so friendly and warm in the light of their tragic past.
The pool area and the food were fabulous. The welcome staff and refreshments were great. The decor was very luxurious and also very Angkor. I loved it. My room was very spacious and had many amenities including fresh fruits. The hotel location was probably the best location for a hotel in Phnom Penh. I use to live in Phnom Penh so I was within walking distance to all my favorite restaurants as well as the Royal Palace, National Art Museum and Riverside. Sadly the Royal Palace was closed due to Covid restrictions.
i wish I could rate this place higher. this is the best hotel I’ve stayed in cambodia. it’s newly built, it is very modern, extremely clean and the beds are very very soft and comfortable. the hotel staff where very friendly and went above and beyond to help you with anything you needed. we also got a free room upgrade. the roof top pool on the 10th floor was amazing for sunset. overall 10/10 amazing value for money! i can’t fault this hotel in any way. Thankyou for the amazing stay!

The hotel is very well located, the rooms are renovated and comfortable, the bed was extra large even for 4 star hotel standards. I was welcomed at the pool with a cocktail which was actually properly made (rare thing in Cambodia) and can be chosen from a list. The pool isn't very good for sunbathing (there's a roof covering the most of it) but it's a good place for relaxing. I have stayed in many hotels in PP and I can say that the price here is very competitive for the value.
Hotel staff Sophia & Bot were amazingly helpful & lovely to communicate with, the hotel is in the centre of many shops, restaurants, bars & right next to "The Royal Palace Of Cambodia" & "The Riverside/Sisowath Quay", it was adequate & I highly recommend other travellers to book this Hotel, the talking parrot is adorable/grumpy but cute, the 2 dogs are funny characters, overall the hotel meet all my needs.
By far the best room we had in Cambodia. The beds are amazing, we slept like two little babies. Everything was super clean and cozy and we almost cried when we wanted to stay longer, but the room was already booked out. we then took a different room, just not to have to leave🥲
the shower is a dream, really hot and with good pressure. location is top too
can’t recommend enough🥰
The pool was lovely, it truly was a hidden oasis in the middle of the city. Close to the waterfront. The hotel restaurant was delicious. Special thanks to Sreyni who tool care of us at breakfast, pool and lunch. Her service was exceptional. She anticipated needs on par with 5 star resorts. She remembered our Breakfast preferences.
I've been traveling to Cambodia since 2095, stayed in various hotels and guesthouse. Duong Chan hotel surpasses all the others. For the past five years I mage Cambodia my residence and often travel from the Provinces to stay in the City for a change of pace. From this day forward, Duong Chan hotel will be my first choice to stay.
A very spacious and extremely comfortable hotel suite in a very central location in Phnom Penh. Close to the Royal Palace but in a relatively quiet street.
The breakfasts were the best we had in Cambodia - so much variety, fresh and tasty.
Late check out was very handy as well.
The staff were very polite and helpful.
The room was so comfortable, and we loved the rain shower in the toilet. We had stunning views of the city and woke up to a gorgeous sunrise every morning. The staff were also super attentive and accommodating.
Location-wise, the hotel is within walking distance to trendy cafes. It was a nice area to stay in!
G Mekong Hotel is the best chioce of city hotel in Phnom Penh. The location is very convenient as it is on the main road it made us easy to access around. staff was very kind and helpful to arrange airport pick up for us.
Staff amazing.
Food very good, almost like in 5 star hotel.
Amazing SOFT mattress - best in all Cambodia. Because usually mattress in Cambodia very hard (we lived in 3 more hotels and everywhere mattress is super hard)
Staff is friendly and helpful. We warmly welcomed with cold drink. The bedroom was peaceful and comfortable. The hotel location is bit far from city centre, but nearby shopping centre, and airport.
I have stayed at dozen of hotels in Phnom Penh. This was on the top of the list of best experiences ever. Staff was very hospitable and there for every need of mine. Thank you so much.
I had a wonderful stay here. Delicious breakfast and huge gym room. The hotel is a bit far from the city centre but it is close to the airport, shopping mall, and grocery stores.
We went on a trip to Cambodia, Vietnam and Bali and this was by far the best hotel. The staff was very cordial, the breakfast buffet was excellent and so was the restaurant.
