The Westin Seoul Hotel truly surprised me! I knew to expect a lovely hotel considering the Westin name. However the Westin Seoul far exceeded our expectation. It is truly a 5 star property. The historic hotel is stunning! Very clean, modern and elegant. The best part was the staff. All of them! The staff was so gracious, extremely helpful, worked very hard to assure our satisfaction. The breakfast buffet offered multi-culture options. The happy hour might as well be dinner since the buffet was large and offered so many options with nice liqours and wines with a beautiful view of Seoul skyline. Highly recommend and will stay there again.

A vibrant and interesting city with an endless list of things to do! Lots of inexpensive eateries with local and international food, lots of budget food choices at convenience stores, and lots and lots of fun shops or spots like photobooths to take fun group (or single!) pictures. Plus a wealth of history and culture!

Seoul is an amazing city that mixes the old (north of the Han) and the new (south of the Han).
We managed to visit a lot of places of our interest including museums, palaces, shopping malls and even Lotte World (amusement park).
There is so much to see and do. Taxis (based on 4 travelling) are cheap and a good option to go from places that are far from each other - don't underestimate the time it takes to get from one place to another.
Probably the only consideration is that there are a lot of stairs (including underpasses) and not always lifts so this may affect people with reduced mobility.

We did a quick trip from Japan to Seoul (3 full days) since it was only a 2 1/2 hour flight, why not :) Wish we had more time in Seoul to explore so plan your days according to area/location. Most "to do" are scattered all over Seoul so you will need at least a day in each area/location like Myeondong, Itaewon, Bukchon, Cheonggyecheon to name a few. Each area will take you about 30 minutes by train depending on your home base hotel. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes....Get ready for walking, steps, trains and maybe taxis. For the 3 days we visited the Lotte World area, Coex Aquarium, Starfield Coex Library, N. Seoul Tower, Banpo bridge at night for the rainbow water lights, Gwangjang market for local Korean food stalls, Myeondong shopping district, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and some underground train shopping areas. Food experience anywhere but our favorite was Lotte Department store food level in Myeondong. You MUST visit Olive Young for Korean skin care. WISH we had MORE time but will return.

I thought it might be difficult because I don't speak Korean, but everyone I met was kind and helpful, I they did not speak English they went out of their way to find me someone who did. I saw a lot and really enjoyed the trips I went on and the street markets and just the differences from home. I found the found fresh and healthy.

Wasn’t expecting to feel so relaxed in a city of 10 and a half million people but felt very relaxed
, the transport system is great and cost to eat out is good. I am definitely going back and plan visiting more cities as spent majority of time in Seoul with a couple of days in Busan. Only negatives are the smell of sewage at times and impossible to buy good flat white coffee.
This is by far my favorite hotel in South Korea. It's located in the heart of my favorite place (Myeondong). Nearby there (walking just 1 or 2 min) you can find tons of restaurants e cafes. The hotel is also minutes from famous brands stores (like Nike, Mlb, 8Seconds) and so on. It's also minutes away from the nearest subway station and you also can find all the main banks. The hotel facilities are great and clean, the rooms are cozy and quiet, and the staff are very kind and always there to help you with anything.
Perfect place to stay! Everything about this hotel was great: beautiful room, tasty breakfast, A very friendly and sweet owner and a perfect location for us...I really really reccomend this Stay here in Korea. We feel like wherenin our own Home. AIMEE THANK YOU for the Warm welcome and always connect with us we really.appreciate how sweet and accomodating you are. We will miss you thanks for everything♥ we will come and Visit again. From April, Nikki, and Ice from.Songapore♥ 사랑해요♥감사합니다
The room is comfortable, clean, and complete. I love that this is a Japanese style hotel with separate toilet and bath. The toilet has bidet. Even the toilet in the reception area also has bidet. Pajama is also provided and also humidifier. Amenities are excellent. Location is superb, easy to get bus, taxi, very close to Namdaemun market and within walking distance to Myeongdong (15-20 minutes). Subway is around 10 minutes walk. The staff speaks good English, Japanese, and Korean.
I liked basically everything about this hotel. Location was exceptional, my room was clean, comfortable and well-equipped, the bathroom was well thought out (taking a shower didn't make the whole bathroom wet) and I even got a pretty nice view. I have stayed at 4 different hotels during my vacation in South Korea and this one was by far the most enjoyable. Also, kudos to the reception staff as they were very polite and spoke English remarkably well.
i’ve stayed at a lot of hotels around seoul and this was by far the best place for the money. i can’t come up with anything bad to say about the hotel. even tho it was quite cheap it was super clean, comfy and the staff was very helpful and nice. as a foreigner living in korea it also makes me quite happy when staff speaks to me in korean instead of english, which they did. 5/5 stars. i loved my stay there. the location is also amazing
The host was there at the building and helped us check in. Otherwise - I think this is one of the best, if not the best place to stay in Gangnam/Southern Seoul. Conveniently located next to Starfield and one of the main metro stations, it's such a great value for money. It was near the end of our 10 days in Korea so we took advantage of the washing machine as well to wash some of our clothing. Very comfy bed as well.
The hotel is clean, cozy and it looks exactly what you’ve seen on the photos. What’s more, it is centrally-located which is convenient for us (3 mins walk to the subway station) to go to Hongdae, Gangnam, Seongsu, etc. Also, it’s 3-5 mins walking distance to the main area of Myeongdong food/shopping street. And to add on, they have great customer service which is definitely a plus point.
I love the place not too complicated to reach out from Myeongdong. After I finished shopping I can drop off my stuff and got out again. The bed was comfortable I got lucky to get base bed. So far so good. Also can left the luggage without pay extra. Might consider to stay here again. And have kitchen if you have time to cook. I would like to explore Korean food more than do it myself.
The staff were absolutely amazing, made the experience the best hotel that I stayed at for my entire trip (1 month), even more so then a 5 star hotel I stayed at later on. The hotel is just a 2min walk from the station and the lines available at the station connect to most major attractions. Was amazing value for money to stay here, would absolutely recommend to everyone.
The hotel is situated literally in front of the metro exit and in front of the limousine bus stop for incheon airport. If you like busy area you will be happy to stay in Myeongdong, there are lots of shops and restaurants around. The staff was super friendly and helpful and there was someone at the first floor entrance 24h which is great in case you need support.
this was hands down the best hotel we stayed at in Korea! staff were amazing! room was huge and extremely comfortable as were the beds. complimentary mini bar was great! bathroom amazing! everything super clean! lication was fabulous! right on top of great restaurants and about a 59m walk to the main part if Myeongdong-gil! would return here in a heartbeat!
The location is AMAZING in Myeongdong. You are withing walking distance of the Myeongdong shopping area, Naemun market, and the transportation hub to get anywhere in the city. Also, the airport transfer bus comes to pretty much the front door. Super impressed with the quality of the hotel and the location was 10/5 stars!
Modality of the hotel, rooms, breakfast which appeared to be a balanced combination of European and Korean styles. Location is also fine - at reasonable distance both from the Central station (for the best way to reach we recommend to use taxi and not metro for the first time) and local attactions.
It was super central. Great coffeeshops close by to try out. The airport bus station is 5 min away from the hotel which is also super convenient.
The staff was excellent and super professional.
I travelled for three weeks in South Korea and this was by far my best experience. Highly recommend it.
It was exactly what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. It was very nice, our room was on a very high floor and there was a nice view on the city, that really enjoyed.
It was hard to understand their English, but at least they spoke good enough English which is a rare thing in South Korea.
Got a free room upgrade
Very nice room for Korea 2 star, western 3 star. If I hadn't know the rating, the room is closer to 4 or 4.5 star quality. But the lobby is very small, so the rest of the hotel wasn't as impressive.
Service desk was helpful, but not all could speak English that well
Front staff was nice, and of course it's very cheap. If you do need a place to stay with a very limited budget then you can go here. Although it's the worst place I've been to in about 15 different hostels and hotels in Korea.
Absolutely amazing view of Namsan Tower. Was a wonderful finish for our South Korea trip.
Delicious food at the hotel’s restaurant and beautiful room with a window view of Namsan Tower was just a dream come true.
The location of the hotel is very convenient, the room is clean, the staff at the counter are very considerate, and the service is warm. I will choose to stay next time I go to Korea。
