Unfortunately due to my recovering from two breaks (ankle and femur) I wasn't able to get to the beach so I can't give you an account but it did look pretty wicked, as for negumbo resort what a great place to get a very relaxing holiday, really good bars with all the latest music and serious food in the restaurant's. I didn't really like Negombo, It has a dirty, noisy road running alongside the beaches which makes it really unpleasant to walk around. There's very little access to the beaches along side this road. There a few nice restaurants, we enjoyed Prego. I would say as a town it's our least favourite place we went to in Sri Lanka and doesn't really reflect the rest of the country which was beautiful. Still hope to visit again later and go to fishing with him. Hotel looks cute and suitable for long stays. Additionally, it has a pool, which is really nice in such hot season (always).

There are lots of tuk tuks available to take you around the town where you can visit the fish market, churches and temples. The family who own the hotel are really lovely and nothing is too much trouble. They took us on a sunset lagoon trip which was truly memorable. The airport is less than half an hour away so this hotel makes a great start or finish to your Sri Lankan holiday.
