In the heart of Galle Fort within walking distance of all the best bars, restaurants and attractions. Rustic and charming with friendly staff and a great ability to come and go as you please with a key to the front door. We loved having breakfast in the garden and swimming surrounded by the wildlife. While the rooms are basic it’s perfectly comfortable and we had a lovely stay.

Property information

High ceilings and painted white floor to ceiling, the house is imbued with a calm secure atmosphere. The Dutch style provides that rooms are facing the open interior gardens, making the residence exceptionally private and promotes cooling breezes throughout. There are 4 bedrooms, 1 double king-size bed, 2 double queen-size bed and 1 twin with two single bed. all beds with 4-posters with mosquito net including air-conditioning and fan. The house furnished with Sri Lankan antiques and paintings. All bedrooms are facing the tropical garden. The pavilion, next to the outdoor pool, which its ceiling painted in the old temple style by well-known artist in Galle Fort, is the popular for relaxing and dining. Meals are selected after discussion with the cook. The staff will do the shopping and guest can go with them if they wish. The house is located in side the Galle Fort, wonder walk around the fort which is cobble stone street and lane and look at the jewellery shop, clothing shop and restaurants. Watch the sun setting from the ramparts, watch the locals playing cricket.
