Very interesting city, with both old medieval/Baroque city center, but also with a newer one from the 20s and 30s if 20th century, with lots of modernist architecture (UNESCO listed) The city is doing a lot in order to renovate, major sights are already in great shape.

What a beautiful city, clean, safe, spacious, green (by this I mean lots of trees and open spaces AND green initiatives like trolley buses, pedestrian spaces and robot mowers!).
Really interesting architecture (beautiful central domed cathedral and period architecture buildings), street scenes and cafe culture. Longest shopping street in Europe! Euro currency. A safe, family feel. Great Bolt taxi service and good choice of hotels and restaurants. Lots of cafes, bars and pubs. Good for couples, families and friends. I really loved it. I’m told it is very Lithuanian, which would be great praise for the country. It should have been higher up my travel list. We came from the UK for the Nord Orthopaedic clinic (VERY EXCELLENT) but will be back for holidays. Nice straight talking locals with excellent English language. Its really easy. Also a great, modern, close airport. All good.

Kaunas is our native city - we love everything about it, especially since we don't live here and come to visit just every now and then.
Favorite places: Laisves Aleja (the main walking street) full of cute outdoor cafes and the Old Town - ancient yet well looked after, with all its galleries and old buildings.
Almost any cafe is good - you find European cuisine, fusion, native Lithuanian. Good coffee and exquisite pastries everywhere.
The Akropolis shopping mall is good for shopping (the sales are REAL SALES), eating out, and buying food/drinks in the Maxima supermarket on the ground floor. A unique 'kepyklele' (bakery) by its entrance!
Kaunas has two theatres (drama and musical), a very good philharmonic hall, the Zalgiris Arena stadium, and there is always something very cultural going on.

I love this city! It is beautiful and clean. Everyone I have met or encountered has been friendly and kind. The food is great, too. Be sure to visit Kaunas Kastle and Old Town.
It is easy and inexpensive to get around by bus. I liked Two Roses Café and Habit, near the Church if St. Michael the Archangel.
Excellent place to explore Kaunas. Hotel is located in city center but in quiet place. Few steps to Main Square or the river.
Very helpfull staff. She helped me to find restaurant as google maps shows incorrect place. Hotel has not its parking but you can park in front of the entrance within city park zone. Very reasonable price and rich buffet breakfast.
Strongly recommended to stay.
hotel in the heart of the city, very good location. check-in went smoothly, the girl greeted me with a smile, the next morning when checking out, the man behind the desk couldn't even say good morning. we ordered a suite, the bed was comfortable, the shower head was broken. I hate to complain, but as the saying goes, everything was enough for one night

kaunas is very nice city, hotel is on walking ave.
This hotel is very convenient to the historical center of the city and to the fort, where you can meet a walking tour. The rooms were large and very clean although the single beds were hard. There was a hostel feeling to the place, with people cooking in the big shared kitchen.
Very well located for the airport in a quiet area with plenty of nearby shops. Close to bus stops if want to travel into city centre. Loved the pool table and smart TV with Netflix. Very comfortable beds and great shower. Samtis Bistro was great for food and only 2 minute walk.
Personnel is very mindful.
Room was spacious and comfortable.
Breakfast was good.
Location is very good as hotel is located in city centre and most things are in a walkable distance.
It really great that there is free car parking.
The hotel is in a great location for the city with plenty places nearby for food and drink.
The rooms which were well designed and quirky were clean and there was plenty hot water.
Nice public areas for relaxing.
I liked the location because it was not far from the training venue and also based in the city centre where you can be able to do shopping. Reaching restuarants in no time and comfortable bed and bathrooms
Great location - very heart of the city, all sites for sightseeing nearby. Lots of space in the room, comfortable beds, clean and tidy. Separate parking lot was very convenient being in the city centre.
Nice location near the river and not far from city centre. Flat is very nice and modern, situated in new stylish building.. Free parking is also good benefit. We enjoyed our stay :-).
Very good location, old town and main street is just 2&3 km walk , buss stop is in the fron of hotel and buss 29G goes from Airport to city, the staff is friendly, good breakfast.
Great location, you are on walking distance from the city center, and also have on walking distance crucial local bus stops. Room is large and clean. Beds are comfy.
