Cozy, warm room, nice personal breakfast. Very clean, considering that the hotel doesn't seem to be renovated lately. All in all a good option in a great location. Parking is a bit tight.

Daugavpils is not a huge city, but for 1 or 2 days it surely has its charme. The city centre's architecture is quite picturesque, and don't miss out on the churches and the synagogue. (It is worth sending an e-mail and asking for a visit, even though the guide's English is a bit rusty. Nevertheless a very positive experience.) Also, you must visit the old fortress (take tram no. 3).

I wish we had more time in Daugavpils!
I wish we had more time in Daugavpils! The city center is wonderfully renovated and reminds me of Liepaja, Riga and St Petersburg all at the same time. The whole city is an eclectic mix of tsarist barracks and typical Soviet houses. The center is walkable and has several great restaurants and cafes to enjoy, as well as green parks to cool off in the summer heat. Try to visit the fortress if you can, and enjoy Daugava's twists and turns around Daugavpils.

There is not much to do in winter time in Daugavpils.
There is not much to do in winter time in Daugavpils. However, many people visiting their parents and friends during Christmas and New Eve and usually silent city becomes more lively. Lazy walks, simple excursions, occasional lunches and coffee breaks, cinemas which run movies in Russian. Daugavpils holds an impressive heritage of architecture presented by building from IX-X. Fortress is just amazing! Rothko art museum is very interesting. For ghost cities fans, recommend to visit former Chemical fibers manufacture.

Unexpected and not much recommended in tour guides.
Unexpected and not much recommended in tour guides. However Daugavpils is worth visiting! Make sure to visit the fort, it's immense and it's something else. Quite some history. Try to check out the history of Daugavpils as well, it's interesting with huge Russian influences. Nowadays it's refererred to as Little Russia (so we heard) and it certainly has the vibe. You have to like it, it's a little rough around the edges.
Unfortunately we only had a short day there and only went to the Fort. That being said, that alone is already worth the effort.

I like the city.
I like the city. I think, I will go for weekend a second time.
I rekommend you to make a walk in Daugavpils castle (latvian- Cietoksnis)! Walk to Dubrovin's park and Dubrovin monument.
Look for a nice architecture of end ot 19.th century and begining of 20th century in the city center.
Take a tram and go to Stropi lake public beach and promenade. (Now, at the end of 2019 year, there are some very nice historic trams, abot 40 years old. It operates on the 3th line from Castle to Stropi lake. Like a museum tram in city traffic.)
This is the "main" hotel in Daugavpils, located very centrally, with numerous rooms. Our room was clean and very well equipped, the staff is very nice (trilingual), the parking on site was available (the hotel does not have its own parking but gives you the possibility to use the public parking place nearby without having to use the parking meters).
Apartament was clean with all facilities. Excellent location, next to main tourist street, close to all attractions - we got everywhere by foot. Best restaurants (Skovorotka and Papa Sushi) round the corner. We liked Daugavpils a lot, we were to some attractions, but the best one was - Skrošu Fabrika - Must see in Daugavpils!!! Best guides!
Personnel has demonstrated outstanding hospitality. I came with a little leg injury and they assisted me with the room on the ground floor, ice and they had been taking care of me during my stay. I was felling myself like at home. I will definitely consider booking this hotel again once i am in Daugavpils.
We loved staying here, the room is spacious and had everything we needed :) The location in the town is excellent with lots to do around you, and there is a bus stop right around the corner to see Daugavpils Fortress too.
- Cheap hotel
- Very good location
- Friendly staff
- Homey hotel/breakfast
- Unusual chickens as pets on hotel area, funny chickens.
Sometimes thinking that this hotel should increase its prices a bit.
It was a very nice location- near a restaurant and the main street. The kitchen and bathroom were both very clean and the appliances worked fine. Next time I'm in Daugavpils I'm renting this place again!
Cozy, warm room, nice personal breakfast. Very clean, considering that the hotel doesn't seem to be renovated lately. All in all a good option in a great location. Parking is a bit tight.
In general I am very satisfied with the hotel-its location, very good breakfast, well-equipped gym, warm swimming pool. Room was even better than at photos- comfortable, wide, soft bad.
A small boutique hotel in the city centre yet in a quiet location. The rooms were nicely updated and maintained. Breakfast was good. Staff were smiley.
