We did the one night tour with the camel treck, staying in the luxury camp, and it was amazing. Everything was perfectly organised, Hassan was very helpful and every step of the tour was a pleasure, and the people involved were nice and accommodating. We also had a room for us to wait before the tour start and afterwards when we came back. Booking was quick and simple and everything went smoothly. Highly recommended

We did eat at Kasba Planet Sahara, Food was great, local, well prepared by the lady cook, just a bit too big portions :):):) Excellent!
Outdoor meal was in the desert - grill - local type - wow, we all enjoyed!
Additionally, was easy to walk arround and to have a drink in some local caffee shops - very nice.
Avoid ..!? to short stay to avoid anything, just add few more days.

Merzouga is a desert town principally set up to offer a desert experience and trips into the Sahara. There are limited food and 'tourist' shops and a number of restauarants (although we didn't use these). Our hosts at Auberge Les Roches catered for all our needs and desert experience.

The highlight of my stay was definitely the camel ride into the desert. The views were breathtaking and the experience was one I'll never forget. The hotel also arranged for a delicious dinner under the stars, which was the perfect end to a perfect day.

Amazing place, worth visiting!
Amazing place, worth visiting! Despite being a touristic place, it didn't feel crowded. The region is incredible particularly if you're a fan of extreme environment, and a fossil/archeology/geology nerd!
Concerning the environmental impact of tourism there, it's hard to tell: it seemed to me that although many fun activities there are not exactly environment-friendly, activities are mostly concentrated in a small area.
I also recommend visiting the place between November and April. In April, temperatures were already unbearable at the height of the day, and a couple degrees more at night would be too warm to sleep comfortably.
It would be fun to come back exploring more of the fossil sites, and maybe do a 1 week trek in the dunes!
Youssef was a great host. He came to our rescue when we were lost. All staff were nice and friendly, they made sure we enjoyed our stay. We were highly entertained with music and dance by the lovely crew after our dinner. What a great way to end the night! Loved the accomodation! Fantastic views of the desert and sand dunes. Camel Trekking was awesome, Thank you for making it a pleasant experience for us we are sure recommend this Camp for anyone interested visit merzouga desert Original Luxury camp is the best Camp 🤩🧡
really recommend this desert adventure! MOHA is more than a guide or a host, he is like a friend you have known for years.
He will always take care of your needs, take you to lovely places you have only dreamt of and make your desert experience unforgettable! He is fun and will make you feel happy too, trust me.
The tents are as luxury as a hotel room, super clean, super nicely decorated and right in front of the sand dunes. The food is fresh, delicious and a nice variety to the usual tajine they serve you in Morocco.
Booked this hotel to rest up after our overnight desert camp stay the night before - main agenda was to hang out poolside. All public spaces - courtyard, garden, poolside, terraces - are so much nicer than photos on booking. We felt like we were in a resort and enjoyed our stay immensely - we didn't want to leave the property and wished we could spend another day. Our room was huge, quiet, beds comfortable, air conditioning wonderful. Free parking on premises. Staff was great and we had the best breakfast of our trip.
Merzouga Sahara luxury camp is excellent! Above any expectation! We had a big tent like a large room, a very comfortable bed, toilet and a shower. Clean, comfortable, great quality of food in abundance. The staff is very polite and helpful. At night, after dinner, we danced and we played the local instruments.
The experience with the camels is unique. You definitely have to live it even if you are not the most adventurous person! We went with the camels and came back with the jeep.
I highly recommend this place.
This is a must-do on your Morocco trip!
We got „picked up“ by a guy which we followed with our rental car to a hotel where we could park our car. From there we (as well as our luggage) got on his 4x4 and were brought to a place in the desert where we jumped on dromedaries that brought us to the camp.
It was an amazing experience - the food (and especially breakfast) were super good and the tents better than expected. The day ended with a cool night with music by the campfire.
We were very happy with our stay. It was wonderful to be able to return to the hotel between activities and during the hottest time of day, to use the pool or to sit and relax in various quiet locations.
The staff were exceptional. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay with them was comfortable and were instrumental in ensuring the rest of our stay in Morocco was equally as successful.
Fully recommend to anyone looking to stay in Merzouga!
The camp lives up to its name:luxury! Traveling to the Sahara desert in July with temperatures reaching near 50 C is challenging. But the hospitality, facilities (beautiful bathroom in the tent) and delicious food, music in the evening makes it all worth it. The staff treated us as royalty and the whole experience was great. comparing our experience with other travellers, I’m convinced this is the best camp in Morocco!
Excellent service and amazing responsible
We booked with Merzouga luxury camp a private desert camp and private camels ride , we messaged omar by whatassp which is the easy way and he was quick replier ,he explained to us what we are having and what we need to bring with us ,
I would love to give 1000 starts for that amazing desert trip not just 5 start.
I highly recommend Merzouga luxury camp
Our tent was beautiful, the furniture, the bathroom (the sink was something you would find in a five star hotel), the bedding was all exceptional. I appreciated that the staff put us in a room during the day so our tent can cool down from the hot desert sun. The food was also incredible. We travelled all over Morocco and loved the dinner. They kept saying, we want you to feel like you are home!
Unforgettable desert retreat! Stunning location on the edge of Erg Chebbi. Delicious meals, organized dune activities including camel treks at sunset. Spacious family room with daily service. A must-stay in Merzouga!
if you're planning a trip to Merzouga, this hotel is an absolute must-stay. It offers an unforgettable desert retreat that will leave you yearning to return again and again.
We loved every detail about this camp . Mustapha and other his guys were great. Breakfast and dinner wer super delicious. We’ll come back again soon inshaallah . The caamp is better than 5 stars hotels in fact it is a million stars . We advise everyone who is planning for an overnight in the desert to choose Sahara shooting stars camp .Thank you very much ( tanmirt)
"A stay in a luxury camp is a journey into the lap of desert luxury. The spacious and well-appointed tents, complemented by the stunning backdrop of the Sahara, create a magical ambiance. The camp's commitment to sustainability and local culture, combined with impeccable service, made our time here not just a stay, but a soulful adventure in the heart of Morocco."
We had a great time at Les Roches Desert Camp. We stayed at the hotel pool before departing by jeep to their desert camp. We sandboarded over the dunes, enjoyed our time in our private tent, had a delicious dinner and breakfast, and even enjoyed watching the sunset. And sunrise, I highly recommend Les Roches Desert Camp 😍
Very spectaculaire view on the highest dunes of the Erg Chebbi. Friendly staff and nice food. To arrive at the hotel with a small car do not follow the path from Merzouga allong the dunes. You might get stuck then (as we did). Cross the plain desert on a dirt track close to the Shell station straight to the hotel
In front of the dunes the hotel welcomes everybody,
the door into the desert start from here at Dar Morocco, a luxury hotel in sahara desert.
comfortable accommodation for all travelers, if you are looking for comfort and nice desert experience here is the place.
Thank you for the wonderful stay!
This was our first experience in a desert and it was amazing. In Morocco the are a lot of tour operator that can bring you into Erg Chebbi (merzouga) or Zagora. Zagora is not like Merzouga! If you want to find high san dunes (up to 150 mt) choose Merzouga
We had a great experience in Morocco we would like to thank the guide youssef who did a great job of making us happy. Riding on camels in the desert is an incredible experience. We spent a wonderful night in the camp behind the desert, Merzouga.
Fantastic hotel in the desert near Merzouga. It was a much needed night of rest and relaxation before going out into the desert the next day. The food was great and we got upgraded to a suite which made the experience a little more sweet.
It was just perfect stay in merzouga luxury camp Nice camp in the desert, large, clean and comfortable,it also has Wifi! the host is kind, impressive and fantastic experience ! Thank you so much
