Asilah is a good place to get away from the big town of Tangier, to which it is connected by bus and train. I didn't find it spectacular but it has a relaxed atmosphere and it is extremely easy to get around. The houses of the old medina are renovated and it's streets are pretty large and not crowded with the stalls of the merchants. White is the dominant colour, bordered by blue and green, and occasionally punctuated by some murals.
There are many artists' but very few craftsmen 's workshops. It has some not very clean beaches and an old Jewish cemetery by the coast, out of the medina. The people were, generally speaking, friendly and welcoming.

I have been many many times in the last 37 years and it never fails to impress, plenty to do for a long weekend, easily accessible from Tangiers by train or taxi (approx 200mdh), very safe, lovely people, new marina being built , probably best to stay outside the marina as it might be noisy at night, plenty of affordable accommodation in the area, great choice of eateries, shops and hammams, car not necessary

It is a quiet little town with a history of Portuguese occupation. The Medina is small and clean and many artists live here. There is a mural festival every year. Plenty of fish restaurants and a market street. Not a party town.

The medina was very clean.
The medina was very clean. We watched the sunset from Cafe Derya, which was beautiful. The Medina lets its white walls painted by artists every July, that was interesting. Nice restaurants. We visited Paradise beach on the day we left, but its definetely one of the best beaches in Morocco. The access road is easier by 4x4. But if you want a beach, that's the one to go for, with plenty of small restaurants.

Asiilah is a small town/city off the main tourist track.
Asiilah is a small town/city off the main tourist track. I was looking for an "authentic" Moroccan urban experience and Asilah was perfect for that. The hustlers were to a minimum, the markets, shops and street vendors had a wide supply of offerings. The produce sold on the street was of the most beautiful colors and freshness. The shopping I did was without pressure and fun. Asilah should be seen if you are nearby and stay at the Riad Oasis D'Asilah when there
What a wonderful place to stay in Asilah! The Riad is beautiful - a gorgeous spiral staircase going up to the rooms. Our room was spacious, bright and nicely appointed, as was the bathroom. We had dinner at Al Alba which was delicious! Very generous portions! And breakfast was the same - lots of food and all of it delicious! I did a Hammam at their spa in the Medina which was also great! Very clean place, and the staff was lovely and very welcoming. We'd stay again!
Excellent location for exploring Asilah, walking distance to the beach and medina. This is a very special and unique family run boutique hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean, tastefully decorated, the breakfast is excellent, the tea is exquisite, there are numerous areas to lounge and relax both inside and out. The staff are very friendly and helpful, free street parking is available right in front of the hotel.
The two brothers running it were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We booked at short notice and they were very accommodating. The room was clean, beds comfy, amazing aircon unit, great little rooftop, kitchen great. Asilah was also amazing; we would return here tomorrow if we could :)
It was Eid al adha when we stayed and yet the hosts still responded to requests immediately. Hats off to their hospitality.
The Riad was perfect and in a great location in the Asilah Medina, it was an oasis of tranquility. The staff were super friendly and helpful, our room was lovely and very comfortable and we particularly loved the roof terrace and the water feature in the internal courtyard. The calming music was also very nice at bedtime! Would definitely stay again next time in Morocco and will recommend to our friends.
The house is very cozy and located right in front of a beautiful beach. Great atmosphere, Didi was an amazing host and made me feel right at home. I booked 5 nights and ended up staying 8. Asilah is also very easy to reach by bus or taxi in a few minutes. Overall a great place to stay and I will definitely be back!
very nice house in Asilah with friendly hosts. The room and the bathroom was very clean. The breakfast was perfect! you can choose from a big buffet. we came to Asilah by train and the train station is not far from the House. If we get back to Asilah we will come back to Casa Bahia. would definetly recommend !! :)
Such a relaxing and beautiful spot, we didn't want to leave! The ocean view is incredible and they have a huge terrace. The breakfast was lovely. The family hosting were very sweet and welcoming. Definitely the best place to stay in Asilah, it's a very special place.
The hotel was exquisitely beautiful. The decks with plants the beautiful furnishings and old doors were so beautiful the staff was fantastic, the food was delicious the room, the bedding, the bathrooms all were top-notch.
The location is really great, near the beach and the medina. The host is friendly and helpful. The appartment is super cosy and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay here and I recommend it to anyone visiting Asilah.
The location of the apartment is very good, it is in the old medina and close to all the interesting places in Asilah and also the staff was very helpful and also the decoration of the apartment is charming
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They listen to you and do their best to make you feel home and very welcome.
The location is fantastic, not too far from the medina and just in front of the ocean.
Asilah was a great place to visit. the hotel was safe, clean, well located, with a good view of the sea. The people were very friendly. The apartment was very very spacious. I will come back ehre.
Nice staff, good location at a main street (you can park in front of the hotel, was good for us cause it did not look like a town worth exploring), good breakfast although it starts a bit late.
Only 40 meters from beach, not 250m. Highest terrace in Asilah for sunset. Breakfast in Terrace with nice sea view. Clean. You can sleep with ocean sounds.
