We did the one night tour with the camel treck, staying in the luxury camp, and it was amazing. Everything was perfectly organised, Hassan was very helpful and every step of the tour was a pleasure, and the people involved were nice and accommodating. We also had a room for us to wait before the tour start and afterwards when we came back. Booking was quick and simple and everything went smoothly. Highly recommended

We did eat at Kasba Planet Sahara, Food was great, local, well prepared by the lady cook, just a bit too big portions :):):) Excellent!
Outdoor meal was in the desert - grill - local type - wow, we all enjoyed!
Additionally, was easy to walk arround and to have a drink in some local caffee shops - very nice.
Avoid ..!? to short stay to avoid anything, just add few more days.

Merzouga is a desert town principally set up to offer a desert experience and trips into the Sahara. There are limited food and 'tourist' shops and a number of restauarants (although we didn't use these). Our hosts at Auberge Les Roches catered for all our needs and desert experience.

The highlight of my stay was definitely the camel ride into the desert. The views were breathtaking and the experience was one I'll never forget. The hotel also arranged for a delicious dinner under the stars, which was the perfect end to a perfect day.

Amazing place, worth visiting!
Amazing place, worth visiting! Despite being a touristic place, it didn't feel crowded. The region is incredible particularly if you're a fan of extreme environment, and a fossil/archeology/geology nerd!
Concerning the environmental impact of tourism there, it's hard to tell: it seemed to me that although many fun activities there are not exactly environment-friendly, activities are mostly concentrated in a small area.
I also recommend visiting the place between November and April. In April, temperatures were already unbearable at the height of the day, and a couple degrees more at night would be too warm to sleep comfortably.
It would be fun to come back exploring more of the fossil sites, and maybe do a 1 week trek in the dunes!
It was just perfect stay in Sahara Majestic in Sahara. Actually before I had some doubts about if it is worth staying in camp, or better choose some hotel in Merzouga, I have chosen this camp and it was the 100% right decision. I could not imagine better accommodation from all points - it is super comfortable, interesting, authentic staying, people working there are super friendly and willing to help. I hope to come back here in future. Thank you so much, it was definitely the best impression during our trip in Morocco. AFRICA!!!!
Dar Morocco was incredible, the staff were so kind and friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing, the location was unbeatable. Near enough to the town to get food but also right across from the dunes with no obstruction of view. Looking out my window and taking afternoon strolls through the dunes were amazing. We also spent ample time relaxing by the pool. The rooms are also enormous. We had the opportunity to chat with Mustafa our last night and talk about growing up in Merzouga which was wonderful to hear about!
One of the few luxury camps in Merzouga has aircon, which could be useful in summer or winter. The camp is 400 meters away from the castle hotel, which belongs to the same group, which help ensure logistics. The hotel also has a pool open to camp guests. Upon checking in at the hotel, you can choose to go buy camels for the sunset and to go to the camp. This would be highly recommended! The camp is spacious with 1 big king size bed and and a single, plus sofa. Local africa music will be at play with bonfire after dinner.
I and my husband, we stayed one night in Merzouga Sahara Luxury camp. The tent is very clean, and big, it has everything needed including shower hot water, the staff in the camp has been an excellent host the food is incredible! They also arrange the camel ride before we get to the camp we stopped to watch the sunset over the Sahara. We had a beautiful experience, after dinner we played drums and ,
felt my experience was exceptional and my comfort, safety, were the most important things.
Highly recommended!!
I traveled across Morocco and I had the chance to find an available single tent at The White Camp. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at this camp in the middle of the Sahara desert. The tent has all modern equipment, comfy beds, hot water showers, and flushing toilets. Dinner & breakfast was very good. The workers here are enthusiastic and willing to help with shiny smiles on their faces. I loved everything about this luxury desert camp and I HIGHLY recommend it to every solo traveler.
Perfect 10!!! We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Mezouga Luxury Camp, camel ride from the meeting point to the Camp, 4x4 ride to black Sahara, seeing the sunrise by buggy ride, great breakfast, plentiful dinner, camp fire music and dance. Everything was well organized with Friendly amazing staff. Camp tent was clean and plenty of hot water for shower. Staying in Merzouga luxury camp was highlight of our Morocco trip, maybe in our lifetime . We recommend this Sahara Camp, look no further
Probably the prettiest room we stayed in Morocco. Property well maintained, clean and impeccably decorated, including the outdoor dining space. Dining - both breakfast and dinner were outstanding. The location is a short walk to the dune for sunset. I also booked a camel ride ( you could probably do ATV too) by simply walking a short ways to where the camels are kept. parking at the hotel is shaded. I highly recommend staying here.
My guide during me camel ride to the desert camp was nice and prepared a great dinner for me, while i stayed in the Desert Camp overnight under the stars. The dunes were something else and I'm so glad i got to experience them. Everyone here has shown me great hospitality and i can't wait to tell everyone back home on my travels in Beautiful Morocco: the amazing people, the mint tea, the abundant and pleasant
We stayed in Berber Palace for 1 night, because we wanted to rest in hotel place before desert experience in Merzouga. Owner was super nice to meet us after 22.00 and offer more expensive room for free, because they had free rooms for that night. We were really satisfied with everything for this price. Breakfast was also very nice (tasty berber bread, eggs, drinks and other food). Thanks for hospitality!
The luxury and comfort of a great hotel with the most stunning views (Sahara) we’ve ever seen in my life. We would highly recommend seeing the sunrise by camel - Ibrahim was great! Hassan & Zayid (apologies for the spelling!) were really friendly and super helpful. The tent itself was stunning, fixtures plumbing and a hot shower all in place. I don’t think we’ve had a better night stay in Morocco yet 😄
Excellent service and amazing responsible
We booked with Merzouga luxury camp a private desert camp and private camels ride , we messaged omar by whatassp which is the easy way and he was quick replier ,he explained to us what we are having and what we need to bring with us ,
I would love to give 1000 starts for that amazing desert trip not just 5 start.
I highly recommend Merzouga luxury camp
Hassan was amazing. As usual we booked our trip to the Sahara desert at short notice. Once we booked Dar Lola and made contact with Hassan, he was very calm and arranged every thing else for us. What a star he was. My whole family had a great time and loved our desert experience In Merzouga!
The hotel had a real family and homely feel to it, and it is right next to the dunes, which was great!
We stayed here for 2 nights and the room + bathroom was the biggest and most clean we had in morocco. The breakfast was perfect, pastries, moroccan bread / pancakes, eggs etc. From the Riad you can easily walk into the desert on your own or book a camel / atv / etc. Tour direct at the Riad or in Merzouga. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and we can recommend this Riad :)
Exceptional doesn't begin to describe our time at this luxury camp in Merzouga. The attention to detail in the camp's design, from the plush furnishings to the gourmet dining under the stars, exceeded our expectations. The warmth of the staff and their dedication to creating a personalized experience made this stay a highlight of our journey through Morocco."
Spending a night in a Merzouga desert camp and riding camels was truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. The tranquility of the desert, coupled with the mesmerizing sunset and sunrise views, made it an unforgettable experience. The camel ride added an extra layer of authenticity to the journey. Highly recommend for anyone seeking an immersive desert experience
From far the best experience I have ever experienced. The decorative art and general atmosphere of the camp is incredible. The best thing about this camp is the 5 stars service you get there. There is always someone to attend you and you get tons of great recommendations for Merzouga
An unparalleled desert retreat! The luxury camp in Merzouga provided an immersive and opulent experience. Waking up to the sunrise over the dunes, savoring gourmet meals, and enjoying the nightly campfire under the vast desert sky – an absolute highlight of our journey
The room was very big with all the amenities that we needed for a comfortable stay after all the desert activities that got us dirty and tired. After a week's trip in Morocco, this was the only hotel that served hot and crispy flat bread.
The experience at top luxury camp was amazing. From the pick up at the location, to the service, room and private bathroom, staff and food. Everything was excellent. I recommend this experience specially at this desert camp
