Montenegro has incredible swimming spots. You have the choice of swimming in Boka Bay surrounded by the mountains, or take a short drive to Lustica and swim in the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic Sea. A truly spectacular place to explore!

Stay was for 4 nights and there is plenty to do in that time (boat trips, etc which weren't expensive) along with wandering around the marina. An abundance of restaurants, cafe's and bars too. Local transport (we used taxi's and buses) and these were easy to navigate and cheap. Locals were helpful in explaining which services to use. Budva was a 4 euro bus ride (one way & about 1/2 hour from Tivat) for the day for a less rocky beach. All the beaches we found in Tivat, close by to the hotel, were of rocks or concrete. We found a municipal beach (although I don't think any are 'private') to sunbathe on but bought the sun loungers/parasol combo for the day from a local hotel, which was approx. 30 euros for the day. You could order drinks, which they brought to us but not food. It was a great base for us to explore from and I should do more research when trying somewhere new to make the most of my experience! Would probably stay somewhere different next time but it was very scenic and useful for any boat trips you might want to do. I travelled with my 15 year old son, who is also a foodie, so he enjoyed the restaurants around us. Some were cheaper than others :-)

Tivat is on the Bay of Kotor. The Bay of Kotor is surrounded by rugged mountains which makes the scenery spectacular. Tivat is in a beautiful location and has top-rate shopping, from designer clothes to superyachts.

The town is well laid out with good water frontage. Good range of Shops. Excellent day trips on boats at very reasonable prices. We paid 15€ each for 9hr trip. Some restaurants did not live up to high prices charged.

Tivat have nice bayside walk, close to ferry, close to airport. One of very best boat marine in Porto Montenegro. Very easy to arrive peninsula Lustica where You an find nice authentically villages and nice beaches with quality restaurants with tasty food. New attraction started this summer, cable car everyone should take it to see beautiful sundown.

I always enjoy walking near see in Tivat. Beside Porto Montenegro Marine, main attraction, there are also other places to visit like parks, anchor monument, restaurants / bakeries... I would suggest to avoid middle of day to drive in/out since traffic reaches its peaks and you could easily get stuck in the line.

The location is perfect, especially if you fly to Tivat: close to the airport, Tivat and Kotor are close, a small supermarket is just across the road and a large one 10 minutes drive, no parking problems. The waterfront is clean, you can use sunbeds and sunshade, you can fully enjoy it (beaches in Montenegro are quite small and crowded). Also we could use a SUP board, kayak and even fishing rods, got a boat tour on Tivat bay.

The hosts are extremely kind, they offered us a free shuttle to the bus station or airport. The apartment we stayed in is very comfortable, well equipped, clean and best of all, has a large beautiful terrace. What I would especially point out is the location, Porto Montenegro is right across the street, and the Waikiki beach is 10min away . Also, Donja Lastva is very near and it is beautiful little place to visit.

Everything is labeled, the rooms are very clean and look really good. The hosts are always at your disposal and even provide free to and from Tivat Airport transportation. The accommodation is 2 minutes walking distance from Porto Montenegro. The villa is fully equipped with a hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel, clean towels, iron, washing machine. The distance from the hotel to Porto Montenegro was 15 minutes drive and the distance between the hotel and Kotor was also 15-20 minutes depends on the trafic.
