This place is like a home from home. very relaxed, not too many guests and great for working. Lovely pool and places to laze. I liked it that they offered meals as a choice, which meant not having to go out to restaurants. Room was huge and comfortable, with everything one could need.

We hired a taxi to take us up to the Citadel and around the city. It has some interesting colonial buildings.
We arrived at Port Louis at the end of our cruise - the apartment was not far from the port.
We used the same taxi driver to take us up the Northern Beaches (well worth visiting) and he also drove us to the airport for our flight to Dubai.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Champs De Mars Apartment during my recent short visit to Mauritius, and I can't say enough good things about it! From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the charming and cozy atmosphere that this apartment offers.
First and foremost, the location is fantastic. Situated right next to the iconic Champs De Mars Racecourse, the apartment offers stunning views and a unique atmosphere that you won't find anywhere else on the island. It's also conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and public transportation, making it easy to explore all that Mauritius has to offer. Moreover, the apartment's security was excellent.
The apartment itself is impeccably clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. The interior design is tasteful and modern, providing a welcoming and homely ambiance. The spacious living area is perfect for relaxation and entertaining, and the kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities you need to prepare your own meals if you wish.
One of the highlights of the Champs De Mars Apartment is the balcony, which overlooks the racecourse. The breathtaking views of the races and the lush greenery are truly a unique experience that adds a special touch to your stay.
The host, Adam is incredibly accommodating and friendly, always ready to assist with any questions or requests you may have. Their warm welcome and local insights enhanced my stay in Port Louis , making it even more memorable.

Traffic in Port Louis is very busy so allow extra time if you need to travel anywhere. You will need consider this when ordering a taxi. There was nothing open near the villa to walk to besides the beach/boat dock area. This was cleaned everyday by the local authority and included toilets.

We stayed in Port Louis for 2 last days in Mauritius.
We stayed in Port Louis for 2 last days in Mauritius. It was wrong. In fact it was enough to visit it for 1 day somewhen in the middle of the trip. Not so much to see there. Water front is beautiful but it is for couple of hours. Peoplel say about Central market but as for me market in Mahebourg is better. So definetely it is worth to visit but without great expectations.

I love the old part of Port Louis at the foot of Signal mountain. Just get a car and go around the little streets looking at the few remaining old colonial houses. Of course do the tourist sites too...
The villa is a lovely, spacious, building with a pretty garden packed with beautiful plants and palms providing relaxing shade as well as sunny areas for lounging in and a good-sized pool. There are lots of peaceful private areas to sit in and read or just listen to the birds. It was great returning to this oasis after a day out and about in busy Port Louis. My room was large, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was an ideal size and I often skipped lunch. Dinner was tasty, varied and felt like home cooking.
The flat was spacious and in a building, so there was always lots of lighting and foot traffic to make it easy to go in and out. There are also a few coffee shops and cafes nearby, so it's quite easy to get a quick bite to eat. The receptionist took me up to my room and showed me everything, which was so sweet. I also had floor to ceiling windows in the living room and could see the entire Port Louis skyline and sunset. The balconies in the apartment made the view even more stunning :)
I booked this hotel as it was closest decent place to the capital where I had to go for some business. The hotel itself is very nice - has some small villas, nice pool area, open restaurant where they serve breakfast and amazing dinner (usually 4 course meal - had it two times and both times everything was very delicious!) and its own beach from where you can see the best sunset and make amazing photos.
Room was simple and cozy - everything just like on photos)
The location was great, very close to the supermarket and the bus stop for the bus to the capital Port Louis (bus stop is near supermarket). The apartment was very spacious with kitchen and fridge and the host Per was great - I had very interesting conversations with him and he helped a lot with advices etc. As soon as I arrived I was given a welcome drink and fresh fruits by his wife Marina who was also very friendly. Overall it was a great experience.
The apartment is super clean, tidy and spacious, located in a tranquil spot overlooking stunning views across the mountains and horse race track, location is perfect,a walkable distance to Port Louis city.
Adam the host was always happy to help, very generous extending my check-out till 4:30 for free, also they offer transportation to the airport.
Highly recommending the place and Definitely would like to stay again.
We needed to find a shelter in Port Louis in last minute. The guest house appeared as a viable option and indeed did not dissappoint. Room was clean, well situated with free bottles of water and basic set for a hot coffee including kettle. Part of the property is a chinese restaurant run by the same owners. Despite the meal is not included, it was the best chinese cuisine I have ever tried.
We couldn’t have wished to be anywhere else during a cyclone…! The staff were just brilliant, delivering special plates of snacks & keeping us fed & watered during the hours of lockdown & intermittent electricity & water. A special mention to Jessica who worked tirelessly throughout. Apart from the cyclone, this hotel is a lovely oasis - v comfortable.
Great location and within walking distance to most of Port Louis attractions. Whatever the property might lack in facilities are greatly made up for by the warm and friendly hospitality of the host.
Polite anf helpful staff, good location and view. Very near from Port Louis city center and several hiking trails. A good place to stay if you're not put off by less-than-perfect housing conditions.
Perfect choice for stay to see and explore the city center of Port Louise. Very nice personal. Comfortable spacy room with great view to the city. Highly recommend:)
The serenity of the place is really amazing beautiful location in the heart of Port Louis.
I'll go there again but only if am told the Wi-Fi connection is better
