Businesses on the front road Calle MANUAL DOBLADO are excellent, from breakfasts at the French Riviera to .. there's an excellent massage (facials too) place just up the road CAPRICHO,, t's perfect! To stay tacos El FOGON And I have to give props to the most delicious Italian restaurant we went to twice there's something about Their Caesar salad and I'm pretty sure the pizza's and pasta all homemade sauces, incredible wine recommendation.. is Petros down in the tourist art district. We loved the festivities, the fireworks were the best we've ever send in our lives, the love music in the plaza, the exceptional friendly kindness of the people.. the marina! The beaches! Old Town charm! Except it's sad to see that the Tropicana is under perpetual remodel and takes away from the original character that it always had been so don't do that no upgrades keep it original... Keep the Old Town charm keep the franchises out of it no Little Caesars no Subway.. Don't let the foreigners buy anything. Don't let the foreigners tell you what to do keep your festivities up until 3 AM if you want to... Keep doing what you always have done and just don't change it's perfect the way it is

We wanted to visit San Jose for a day before heading down to our time share ( of 20 years) in Cabo San Lucas. We liked the center of the town, the main street is full of local charm and small businesses, There is a stage on the main plaza with the old church and in the evening we saw dancers in colourful costumes. There are plenty of small stores and family restaurants, souvenir and food distractions.
We recommend tourists stop at San Jose on their way down to the big sophisticated resorts and immerse in the real atmosphere of the local culture.

In my Mexico experience, San Jose is a "high end"
tourist village,,,,, just what I expected,, considering all the
resorts. It is not "my" desired Mexico experience, but, I had to
visit once..If you wander away from the resorts, you can find
some real food, and local events.

Very nice place, but the vendors will try and scam you so watch out. We attempted to purchase a tour from a vendor, and he tried to book us with a timeshare presentations even though we told them no. The stores are overpriced, and more expensive than in the US so we didn't purchase anything as we felt the vendors were trying to rip us off by jacking the price up.

San Jose del Cabo was great, so much better than Cabo San Lucas, which is a busy party town. The only reason I went there was to take a boat to El Arco(the Arch) which was totally worth it. SJDC is laid back and Marisol Boutique Hotel is steps from the beach. Baja is so different than the rest of Mx, different food, and more expensive for sure.

San Jose del Cabo is a great place to visit.
San Jose del Cabo is a great place to visit. They have an art walk every Thursday night. They have an Organic Farmer's market every Saturday. The Sea of Cortez is beautiful. And of course lots of sun and nice temperatures in January/February.

I really enjoyed my stay here. There are major resorts nearby, but if you want a quiet, intimate place very close to the beach, you should consider this hotel. I met several staff at the reception desk over two days, and every one of them were helpful - MORE than helpful. They called restaurants to find out their hours, they made suggestions, they asked how everything was going as if they genuinely cared - and I believe they did. Thank you to everyone at Marisol Hotel. I hope to return someday.
Great central location near lots of resorts, restaurants and boutiques. Easy walk into San Jose del Cabo Centro. Very quiet neighborhood. Sofia made us feel like we were special guests in a private family home, but without awkward relatives! Rooms were simple, clean and very calm. The central living room/dining area and kitchen were well-appointed with everything to make your long stay comfortable - from kitchen supplies to jigsaw puzzles and plenty of seating.
Eduardo and Iris were very helpful with info about local stores, banks and sightseeing. The staff worked hard every day to make the place sparkle. Good security. Centrally located - close to shopping and a variety of restaurants. Nice patio area. Clean pool. Short walk to beach. Hotel provided beach towels and umbrellas (upon request) which made spending time on the beach more enjoyable. Very pleased with staff, service and accommodations.
LOCATION! This spot is a surfer's paradise. Right ON the beach and at THE surfing spot in San Jose del Cabo. Loved the vibe of the place and it made for the most amazing SUNRISE I've seen. We even had whales jumping at dinner (also right next door). It was magical. Marta was so sweet and nice, communicated well and was present for check-in and to answer questions we had and show us around the place. So chill, so beautiful.
One of the best "Airport hotel" I've ever stayed in. Everything was perfect - easy to find, close to the airport, new stylish furniture, coffee / tea in the kitchen, amazing service, possibility of cheap and reliable transfer to/from the airport, nice tiny garden.
Me and my family spent a wonderful day there before flying back to Canada. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
Hotel Santa Maria was an excellent value for money stay, with clean, well kept facilities, and attentive, friendly staff. Our room on the 3rd floor was spacious and clean. It featured a balcony, with peek a boo views of the ocean.
We thoroughly enjoyed our complimentary breakfast every morning, before setting out exploring San Jose del Cabo.
Good location. An easy Uber ride into downtown. Easy walk down to the beach.
We had a late lunch there and the food was excellent. Server was particularly helpful even though we came in very late and the restaurant was empty. We really appreciated getting some terrific food before we left for the airport.
For our purposes the location was great with just a short drive to the downtown restaurants and shops. It's located on a nice beach next to many resorts. The guests were primarily Mexican citizens on vacation, which added to our desired local experience.
Staff is dynamic and caring. I needed a place to sleep I let my bike for a week and they agreed immediately without any for more money or anything. The owner just wants people to have great time in San Jose del Cabo.
And I did!
The hotel is in a great location for walking to restaurants, shops and the town square in San Jose del Cabo. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful courtyard within the hotel for sitting and relaxing in the shade.
loved the boutique feel, the smallness of the property in comparison to the huge resorts around it, the decor, my comfy room, the sweet and ever helpful staff, the beach, the cool water of the pool to dip into.
Amazing location! Especially for a surfer! The room was spacious and very clean with large comfortable beds and lounges. Impressive infinity pool with a nice bar right on the beach.
The convenience of being right next to the airport. You can walk from either terminal and be at the hotel. I also liked how it next to the bus stops and catus car rental.
Location is great can walk from terminal 1 or 2, just look for tall building when coming out of airport and that's the hotel. Good breakfast, they have a restaurant.
It’s a hipsterish hotel in San Jose, good beach accessible by an electric boat, nice pool area. generally nice choice, lot better than large American resorts
