Beautiful place to visit. Be mindful, you will be approached often to attend a time share opportunity. The marina downtown is awesome, if you get a chance take a boat ride. Depending on the time of year, it might be cheaper to choose a boat the day you want to go. We reserved one, but when we got to the marina we were approached with cheaper prices.

Cabo San Lucas is a great winter escape.
Cabo San Lucas is a great winter escape. Warm sunshine, great seafood and fun nightlife. The water at the bay is just right for swimming or just cooling off. Highly recommend the parasailing!
WARNING! Don't get scammed by the Taxico people at the airport. We used booking.com to reserve a taxi from the airport to our hotel. We were greeted by the representative who had my name displayed as we got outside the terminal. He seemed genuine when he said we could book our return back to the airport with him in advance, and after paying him up front he gave us his phone number and a paper receipt with all the info on it, The taxi to the hotel was okay. But on our return date when I tried to call him to change our pickup time the number didn't connect, and even our hotel concierge couldn't get through. Beware of a man named Victor Morgan di Bella. We ended up using Uber X for our return.

We especially liked the climate in January.
We especially liked the climate in January. Very low humidity and high 70's to 80. The view from this resort was awesome. We walked the beach towards the marina and took the water taxi to the arch and back to The Riu.

I rented a car and was able to drive to La Paz, Todos Santos and San Jose Del cabo. My favorite spot was the Marina. There are so many excursions to choose. La Taquiza had some of the best food but you won't be disappointed eating at Marisco's either. My only turn off was having to pay to use the restroom. I understand businesses not having public restrooms but the beaches charging is crazy. So have your 20-30 pesos ready if you have an active bladder. Overall great trip though will certainly visit again.

Wonderful place to go for a few days - the city is vibrant and with loads of people bustling about. There is a mix of places to eat - some more expensive than others. I recommend finding locally run locations for the best experience.

Cabo San Lucas is a tourist destination mainly for Americans...
Cabo San Lucas is a tourist destination mainly for Americans and, therefore, is costly.
Waiters may expect tips for things that in 99% of all restaurants/hotels are really free. Maybe this is due to the high costs of living and low salaries.
Besides the beach, there is not much to do.
Sure, there is an arch and whale watching, but that is not really impressive.
Be aware of scammers if you book tours on the street. We always had a great experience, but we know from others that they got scammed.
We booked our tours via Morcabo Tours and paid far less than most people, but you need to speak Spanish to get the local price.
Most restaurants are overpriced, but some places like Guss Tacos are somewhat affordable.
Two amazing, friendly cats living there!!
Lovely garden. Really good wifi. Nice and quiet place. Lovely staff. Felt super safe. Beds are comfy and not shaky at all like usually. Location was good because it was a bit further away from the noisy roads and clubs. I didnt like cabo san lucas at all as a city - one of the best parts about it was this hostel and its cats ❤
The staff were very nice and accommodating. Everything in Cabo San Lucas was within walking distance including the Marina, Restaurants, Corner stores, and Cabo Wabo Cantina. Our spectacular view was from room 4B. Much much thanks to the staff for their assistance with our needs during our stay. We also rented a car and liked the gated parking area.
I've originally booked into the Blarney Inn for 2 weeks....but kept extending our stay until we'd been there a full month !
So you know we really enjoyed the place ! Great staff...large rooms...nice pool....quiet at night and just a short walk into town. Also it has a fabulous restaurant on site called Luna ! 5 star place....and reasonable !
property was centrally located which made it easy to access all cabo had to offer the all inclusive was amazing it included Restaurants along the marina so we didn’t feel tied to the hotel we could actually get out and explore our room was sized great perfect for a family of four the beach was a 5 min walk which aloud for all day fun in the sun
Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach and the Montecristo Villas are their own big oasis. Lots of restaurants and pools and activities. The property is secluded and really let’s you get away and relax and you can go to the Pueblo Bonito sister resorts Rose and Blanco that are in town and right on Medano Beach if you want more action.
The staff were amazing.. food amazing. I’m Vegan and found actual Vegan food options.. The rooms were impeccable.. every detail a 5 Star.. except for the couch bed. It dipped in the center and a very poor mattress is used. Was impossible to sleep on and doesn’t meet the expectations for a hotel of this magnitude.
The loves:
-Hostel feel, but the option of a private room.
-The view from our room was the entire marina!
-Close to everything. Walkable if not leaving Cabo San Lucas.
-Bar/food was awesome, as was the pool and beds by the pool.
-Staff was super nice, and there was security at night. Super secure location.
Everything! Perfect location with the beach and restaurants really close. The hotel was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was a choice off the restaurant menu with coffee and juice all included. So many options and gluten free options also.
The location was nice and clean but remote from ANYTHING else. If you wanted to go to Cabo San Lucas, you will have to take a taxi to do so. There is no walking around anywhere, you're stuck and can only go the neighboring property. Not ideal at all.
Solmar resort is just a nice quiet place to stay, right on the Pacicfic Ocean beach in Cabo San Lucas.
It is one of the oldest resort, but well kept and charming. We have stayed before, and was glad to be back.
The hotel is beautiful. The pool is so beautiful. The staff were excellent and treated us very well. The beds are very comfortable with high thread sheets. Rooms and hotel are very clean.
Good budget option for Cabo San Lucas. Big room, rather old feeling and a bit smelly but good bed and shower pressure. Friendly staff and rather quiet for its location on the main street
i loved the whole set up with the gym and spa connected everyone was super nice i just wash it was a all inclusive spot so we didn’t have to leave the hotel to try and find food.
I loved everything about the hotel: buffet, restaurants, and the access to the other Riu hotels as well. The restaurant food could do better on quality.
