Nice climate but we found it chilly some nights (Mid March) Quite expensive especially for wine unless you buy it at the supermarkets i.e. Chedraui, La Comer etc. then only 90 to 100 pesos for a decent Chilean Cab Sav or Merlot.
Not a lot of night life unless you are into ear drum destroying night clubs.
The ocean is not for swimming due to the rip tides.

Businesses on the front road Calle MANUAL DOBLADO are excellent, from breakfasts at the French Riviera to .. there's an excellent massage (facials too) place just up the road CAPRICHO,, t's perfect! To stay tacos El FOGON And I have to give props to the most delicious Italian restaurant we went to twice there's something about Their Caesar salad and I'm pretty sure the pizza's and pasta all homemade sauces, incredible wine recommendation.. is Petros down in the tourist art district. We loved the festivities, the fireworks were the best we've ever send in our lives, the love music in the plaza, the exceptional friendly kindness of the people.. the marina! The beaches! Old Town charm! Except it's sad to see that the Tropicana is under perpetual remodel and takes away from the original character that it always had been so don't do that no upgrades keep it original... Keep the Old Town charm keep the franchises out of it no Little Caesars no Subway.. Don't let the foreigners buy anything. Don't let the foreigners tell you what to do keep your festivities up until 3 AM if you want to... Keep doing what you always have done and just don't change it's perfect the way it is

We wanted to visit San Jose for a day before heading down to our time share ( of 20 years) in Cabo San Lucas. We liked the center of the town, the main street is full of local charm and small businesses, There is a stage on the main plaza with the old church and in the evening we saw dancers in colourful costumes. There are plenty of small stores and family restaurants, souvenir and food distractions.
We recommend tourists stop at San Jose on their way down to the big sophisticated resorts and immerse in the real atmosphere of the local culture.

In my Mexico experience, San Jose is a "high end"
tourist village,,,,, just what I expected,, considering all the
resorts. It is not "my" desired Mexico experience, but, I had to
visit once..If you wander away from the resorts, you can find
some real food, and local events.

Very nice place, but the vendors will try and scam you so watch out. We attempted to purchase a tour from a vendor, and he tried to book us with a timeshare presentations even though we told them no. The stores are overpriced, and more expensive than in the US so we didn't purchase anything as we felt the vendors were trying to rip us off by jacking the price up.

San Jose del Cabo was great, so much better than Cabo San Lucas, which is a busy party town. The only reason I went there was to take a boat to El Arco(the Arch) which was totally worth it. SJDC is laid back and Marisol Boutique Hotel is steps from the beach. Baja is so different than the rest of Mx, different food, and more expensive for sure.

The hotel is beautiful, with a very intimate feel, with a lovely outdoor path from reception to the guest rooms built into the side of the cliff and gorgeous bougainvillea and other plants lining and hanging over the path down to the beach/pool and restaurant. The rooms are spacious suites and the staff are all friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. We had both dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the food and service were exceptional. We enjoyed drinks on the beach with a lovely view of the water.
This hotel is beautiful. The room was a full suite. I could have lived in it.
The location is very close to the airport. The shuttle was 20.00 us. A bit high I thought.
The best thing was the front desk staff. The ladies are so nice! Very friendly and accommodating. I only remember Sofias name but the other young lady their was also very sweet.
Even the sweet eldery cleaning lady was a doll.
I would highly recommend this hotel!
Ps it is in mexican neighborhood a little run down but it felt safe.
The view was stunning, the staff was amazingly attentive, the food was delicious, and the hotel is super close walking to downtown SJDC! They were great connecting me to boat tours and activities. The staff also prepares your outdoor bathtub which feels very indulgent. The beach area feels exclusive - I actually swam near the shore (not too dangerous in high tide). The spa is a must-do. The music around the hotel is so great- instant relaxation. Live music on the roof was a nice touch.
Please choose this location it was perfect for a wedding event I attended. The grocery store was right across the street so we decided to cook some of our meals. We had a day pass at one of the all inclusive hotels and let me tell you the quality of the food didn’t compare to the local grocery store. We were able to walk to the beach And restaurant. There were plenty of dishes and cookware to use. I had an awesome time hosting three other people in the home,
The Hotel is just a 5min walk away from the terminals at the airport in San Jose del Cabo. If you arrive late or have to leave early, this is the perfect place to stay. The pool is clean and the rooms are alright for one or even two nights. Breakfast is a buffet (nachos, scrambled eggs, pancakes and coffee) oder a la card. Would not stay there for a longer time, because its 25min driving from downtown San Jose and 30min form the beach.
Everything! They were very accommodating to our emergency needs as our flight was canceled. They let us stay a few hours after check out with our wrist bands so that we didn't have to spend unneeded time at the airport the next day. The staff also helped us get a ride back to the airport as my Uber account stopped working. Beautiful all inclusive resort. King size bed was a monster size if there's such a thing which was so awesome.
The rooms were very clean, staff was excellent; attentive, helpful with restaurant suggestions, map and directions. Some are bilingual.
We liked the location, away from big hotels and easy walking to central Plaza, old Town galleries and eateries. What we liked the most was easy walk to the slough for birding, turtles, iguanas, etc.
Breakfast is ok. But we recommend Frieda Cabo, a 5 minute walk north on Hwy 1.
The front desk staff were exceptional. Friendly and extremely helpful. The location was very central, close to many shops and restaurants. There was a wonderful restaurant next door, Santo Pulpo, where we returned twice for the amazing fish and excellent tacos. The hotel was very clean and the beds were super comfortable! Highly recommend this little modern hotel in the heart of San Jose Del Cabo.
I was able to book a room online on short notice, but when I arrived at the hotel, it was not the room that was advertised on Booking.com. The Manager was compassionate but unable to do anything to help.
The staff arranged for transportation back to the airport and the driver was great (Silverio) - very pleasant, friendly and helpful.
For our purposes the location was great with just a short drive to the downtown restaurants and shops. It's located on a nice beach next to many resorts. The guests were primarily Mexican citizens on vacation, which added to our desired local experience.
Delightful boutique hotel....Very comfortable and clean. Great staff. I am very grateful that Marisol took the time to help me get a bus ticket to Todos Santos. She is an incredible host and I hope I get the opportunity to stay at the Marisol again!
Exactly what we were looking for, an outstanding hotel in all aspects. The owners treated us like guests in their home. We loved how quiet it was and the way they thought of each detail of our trip and how to make it perfect
Super close to downtown and close to the airport. Small resort which makes it convenient with kids. The kids water slide area was perfect for my youngest daughter who’s 6.
Walking distance from airport/ and quick access by shuttle bus. A great restaurant with a full menu on ground floor of hotel. Restaurant staff/ server are very friendly.
The location was beautiful, right on the beach. I enjoyed the friendliness of the host and the overall vibe here. There is a shared kitchen with free coffee and tea.
