Sayulita has got to solve its sewage outflow problem as it affects the quality of the water on the beach. It's a beautiful seaside town with a great surf culture and a variety of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues. If they get their beach issues fixed it will be a little slice of paradise.

It’s a good mix between relaxation, activities, and partying. Main town is mixed with nightlife, hostels, restaurants etc. North is more chill, higher end hotels.
Unfortunately there is a bug/something ripping through the town causing a lot of people to get violently sick, myself included on day 5.

I think that you either really like Sayulita or you don't.
I think that you either really like Sayulita or you don't. There also seem to be recurring problems with the sewage/water system, and people getting sick there. There are a few nicer restaurants but not enough for a longer stay. Many of the less formal places required you to sit on the road or narrow sidewalk with cars, motorcycles, golf carts and the occasional horses going buy, with their inherent noise, dust and smells... There also is very little sidewalk room to walk there, so you constantly walking on the dirt/cobblestone roads, having to be vigilant and dodge traffic etc...

Good location, Great pool and grounds. Friendly staff. Limited breakfast. Lovely eating area on beach. Too bad rocks immediately in front of hotel so beach 100 meters walk. Clean. Relaxing atmosphere. Walk to restaurants.

Interesting town, well worth 2-3 days visit.
Interesting town, well worth 2-3 days visit. Of course, as Seniors, we were not there for surfing, but enjoyed dinners at the beach and the chance to see beginners take lessons. We met many wonderful Mexican and North American tourists, and were always treated well by local Mexicans.

Sayulita is a very busy place, people and golf carts.
Sayulita is a very busy place, people and golf carts. They have golf cart rentals on every corner like starbucks. Did have lots of great resturants, our favorite was Luna. Need to be very careful my husband became very ill . We are seasoned travellers so we know what not to do.
We enjoy our stay in Sayulita, but know if we will return.
Everything was fantastic! Close location, beautiful view, incredibly clean. All the beach amenities you might possibly need (surf boards, chairs, umbrella, cooler.) The best stay in Sayulita. I was nervous about the noise as stated in other reviews but it wasn’t bad whatsoever, had the best sleep ever there. Being a block away from everything was a blessing.
The hotel is designed beautifully, located in a more quiet area, still walking distance from everything. They gave us a prosecco bottle to celebrate our anniversary, which was amazing. The coffee they sell downstairs is great and fairly priced. Matti the host recommend great spots to grab food as well.
Hotel Diamanté is a little gem one block from the beach on the north end of Sayulita. Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. The pool is great! You can tell that Teresa and her team care very much about the hotel and the happiness of their guests. I was very pleased, especially for the price.
Sayulita is such a fun town, and this little hotel/ home is a great location. Loved the balcony and all the butterflies in the bougainvillea. The location is a bit of a trek into town but not bad maybe two city blocks tops, we actually enjoyed the walks.
Los Sueños is on the north side of Sayulita, which is quiet, and close to many nice restaurants and shops. The hotel is beautiful, and well maintained. Staff speak English & Spanish. There is a lovely yoga studio & massage area available for decent price.
Beautiful, brand new boutique hotel located in Sayulita. Great pool area and location - 5 min walk to the main square but far enough away from the craziness. Loved the shower and local bath products provided. Staff was incredibly generous and attentive.
Great location to get around everywhere in Sayulita. Very nice, quiet, safe hotel. Two utdoor balconies were nice. Shade on 1 side, sun on other. Noisier on street but could look out, quiet side enjoying the nice view of the pool and trees.
Great hotel - nice large well appointed comfortable room, beautiful private pool and unbeatable location. On the beach and 4 minutes walk to town. Friendly and accommodating staff team. What a find. My wife and I will be coming back!
Great hotel. Location is perfect. It’s ver clean. Right on beach. Very quiet. Bar & restaurant service is uneven but should get better as hotel is brand new and working out some kinks. Will definitely stay there in the future.
This boutique hotel was in the perfect location. Right in town next to plenty of restaurants and shops, and had an oceanfront view. The room we booked opened up sliding doors directly to an ocean view which was great.
From check in to check out we had the best experience with hotel, parking, room, wait staff, chef, maid. Made us feel at home took great care of us. Enjoyed being pampered was a great mini vacation!
Oswaldo was very nice. He showed us Sayulita as soon as we arrived and brought us to the bank with his cart. He was always available when we needed and was very welcoming. It felt like home!
The view was spectacular. It is out of Sayulita which means it's quieter at night. You should consider renting a golf cart to get around, it's a 15 minut walk into Sayulita on a dirt road
Very beautiful outdoor area, amazing little touches in each room. The cafe next door was by far the best in Sayulita! really loved the feel of the boutique hotel. Comfy beds too.
Big rooms, comfortable bed, great hosts, power hour is great. They try to make a community and organize fun activities. The location is great in the middle of Sayulita
