we have been coming here for over 25 years, PV has changed so much. It's very busy with many tourists, but you can still find a lot of good restaurants and the people are so friendly. I come from CA, so its an easy flight and sunny when it's winter at home. Great seafood, guacamole and margaritias!

Loved Boca and the hike to Las Animas!
Loved Boca and the hike to Las Animas! Loved being able to take the water taxi back, but sometimes felt pressured to take water taxi at other times. Did not like Zona Romantica area as it felt too much like a glorified Las Vegas! Puerto Vallarta zoo needs more funding for upkeep. Malecon was beautiful. Yelapa was beautiful. Bus was reasonable and accessible. Food in Mismaloya was the best deal for price paid! Food at Boca was good, but higher priced. Food in Zona Romantica was overrated.

The hotel looks nice but everything that could go wrong did.
The hotel looks nice but everything that could go wrong did. The receptionist was supposed to give me double oceanview and gave me a queen bed she was upset and gave me another room facing the pool. The plumbing is terrible no hot water for a day and the staff gives you alot of excuses with no results a manager is non existent you never talk to him. My daughters passport was stolen out the room she pick this hotel for her birthday and that happened, my second daughter went to the beach and got her iPhone stolen. The staff member reimburse me for 1 night stay and I went to the money exchange and (2) 200 hundred dollar bills pesos were fake she asked me who gave you that I told her the hotel and she apologized for them. So this the first and last trip here this trip was the worst!!👎🏾

Love Puerto Vallarta but the hotel is total junk.
Love Puerto Vallarta but the hotel is total junk. Office type chairs to relax in. No refrigerator. My ceiling in my room dripped and was fixed 6 times. Was dripping when I left. Don’t send people here and in fact I would like a refund because it was not as advertised

Weather was perfect. You could not swim in the ocean close to the loft hotel. Waves were high and the red flag was out every day not to swim there. Prices sure went up in Puerto Vallarta. Less entertainment than before. Bus service is excellent and inexpensive. The hotel is next to Mc Donald and walking is very convenient.

Bed was comfy, shower was great. Room was cute. Bartender wasn’t working 2 out of the 4 days I was staying there. I booked this hotel to chill out and read around the pool, have a couple cocktails. They were doing some maintenance that was so loud 2 out of the 4 days I was there as well. They should have ice available for guests when bar is closed without having to ask staff over and over, they seemed a bit annoyed.
The hotel is cute but I wasn’t able to relax the way I was hoping after traveling from Vancouver to Mexico
First of all, this is suppose to be a 5 start hotels. There should be more food outside. How can you have one food truck for main dishes and only be truck just for appetizers. Listen, it was only one lady by herself, cutting the onions, cutting the tomatoes, and the vegetables without anyone helping her. This is totally unacceptable and disrespectful to guest and to the staff. Time to add someone to help with prep. I am completely shocked and disappointed
My partner and I picked this hotel mainly because of the WiFi. We both work remotely, so having blazing-fast internet is a top priority for us. This place has the fastest internet we've encountered in our two months of traveling in Mexico. The bedroom was super cozy, the breakfast was absolutely delicious and had a great variety, and the pool area and gym were awesome. Hands down, it's the best hotel we've stayed at so far.
We managed to get a studio this time and it was great to have a fridge and outdoor space of our own. On previous visits the studios have already been taken by long stay Canadians.
The beds are extremely comfortable and the housekeeping is meticulous.
It’s small by Hotel Zone standards but has a pool with loungers and shady tables.
The public airport bus stops across the road, same stop for buses to Centro Puerto Vallarta.
I like that is directly on the beach. From the back of the hotel you can walk onto the beach and that part is wonderful as well as the views from the balcony. I loved how large the balcony was and that the kitchen was situated out in that covered area.
The staff were friendly, and very attentive when there was a need. They even helped me look up and make an appointment for my COVID test to get back home.
We absolutely loved our stay at Hacienda San Angel! The property is gorgeous, a little tucked away oasis on the hillside in downtown Puerto Vallarta. The staff was wonderful - helpful, kind, and welcoming! The hotel is smaller and personal with only a handful of rooms; a nice shift away from many of the larger resorts in the area. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back again!
The hotel is being reno'd only the small 8' diameter dipping pool was available. The staff was very courteous and responsive.. housekeeping was spot on. Interior rooms and furniture in need of upgrades... likely not to happen soon because owner is selling. Based on conditions this is a 2.5 star property, not a three.
Great little hotel-near the airport-for a couple of nights in transit. I liked the container concept, the room would be a bit small for more than a couple of nights. Safe, clean and comfortable, lots of hot water in the shower. The buffet breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in Mexico.
Location on the Malecon can't be beat. We walked to everything. Los Muertos beach is a little far from the location, not what they said.. The administration staff took good care of us when we asked for anything but dont expect to get hotel service, they dont clean your rooms everyday.
The staff are super friendly and attentive. The location on the beach and in town was perfect - very easy to get a taxi and explore. The hotel was recently renovated, clean and well maintained. The rooms are well equipped; especially if you get one with a patio and seaview.
Great hotel right on the beach. Walking distance to all the bars/restaurants.
Umbrellas to use on the beach and a pool with views of the ocean.
Restaurant on site is simple and affordable, yet tasty.
Front Desk worker Naomi was very helpful.
Beautiful, clean hotel with the best view we’ve seen in Mexico for an amazing value. Very dog friendly, yet definitely as clean as a standard 4/5 star hotel - our first time traveling with a dog, we were shocked.
This place is amazing in Puerto Vallarta: beautiful, thoughtful attention to details, easy parking, and great open-air location on the beach at the end of Romantic Zone. The only sound you hear are the waves!
As always, the hotel, the room, the facilities and the staff were wonderful. Costa Sur is my family's (adult children) favorite place to stay in Puerto Vallarta.
First time in Mexico and stop over in Puerta Vallarta. Wanted to stay somewhere a little cooler than the big resort hotels - and this place was PERFECT.
