I think 3 night would be enough to stay on this island.
I think 3 night would be enough to stay on this island. Besides the beaches, there's nothing spectacular to do that you wouldn't find elsewhere in the Cancun-Playa-Tulum area. Bring cash, pesos, it should be renamed to "solo efectivo(cash only) island", restaurants that accept cards are rare, the rates at the local exchange offices are not great.

Beautiful place to visit!
Beautiful place to visit! Friendly people, great live music, lots of restaurants, and food stands. The water was an amazing color of turquoise blue and the sand was soft and white. It was easy to rent a golf cart and tour the entire island. We had an amazing time!

This was our last stop before the end of our three week...
This was our last stop before the end of our three week backpacking around Yucatan . We stayed for five days and it was just right amount of time for us as Isla Mujeres is not that big . It’s however very pretty and scenic and every traveller should make at least 3 day stop there . Town has many restaurants and shops and if you go further away from the port , it gets even prettier . Locals are very friendly , although in town they’re hard to haggle with about prices ( not as cheap and easy as in Cozumel or other islands ) . You sort of get the feel that there are lot of Americans around ( as it’s close to Cancun ) who tend to pay silly money for souvenirs and locals seem to know that so they’re not budging with prices . So word of advice : if you are planning to get cheap souvenirs , get them in Cozumel or Holbox . Other than that , Isla Mujeres is a very pretty island to visit.

Isla can be very busy with overnight guests but day trippers...
Isla can be very busy with overnight guests but day trippers as well. So many places to eat and drink but don’t be afraid to wander off the Main Street and check out smaller establishments and the street carts. Family run places are the best. Not the deals price wise there used to be but still decent value.

Very expensive - the businesses definitely know they have a captive audience; we were visiting from Cancun and booked Nomads x 4 nights (I don't recommend Nomads no "quiet" hours) and in all honesty - we could have taken a day trip and saved money and time. Very "touristy".

Isla Mujeres is not laid back island any more.
Isla Mujeres is not laid back island any more. The smell of the gasoline and the noise from the too many golf carts is terrible. The North beach is so packed with tourists, you can't put the towel. The price of the food and drinks are too high!
It's a shame that there is no vegetation on the north side. Almost every single tree is is destroyed for a new property to be built-in.
I liked everything!!!
I stayed in the hotel with my mother and my husband. We had an amazing 2 bedroom suite with seaview. Beautiful!!!! And plenty of room for everyone. We even had a kitchen and living room.
The hotel was in front on the beach with restaurant service on the beach. The staff was super friendly.
The location was perfect! Few steps from restaurants, shopping and excursions.
This is my 4th trip around the Cancun area and Isla Mujeres is my favorite! And this hotel made the experience even better!!!
The hotel is very central - short walk from the ferry port and central for beaches, bars and restaurants which is what we were looking for.
The young man on reception was very helpful and courteous throughout our stay.
The room was spotlessly clean and very good value for the money paid.
The hotel provided a hairdryer and beach towels and basic toiletries so no need to bring these if packing for a night or two.
I would stay here again if returning for a night or two on Isla Mujeres.
the hotel has a very good location, if you are into beaches with luxury yachts and American tourists drinking Corona at the water's edge :-) (not a bad word about that, I fully understand it is ideal to go on holiday to Isla Mujere and relax with a beer - we're just not used to see that in Europe). There was a station with free drinking water supply. I think that's good style. The breakfast that was included was simple, but nice - and served in a fantastic beach restaurant.
The location of Posada Del Mar is exceptional. Right at the Playa Centro Beach of Isla Mujeres, you can’t go wrong. The manager Raul is very welcoming as he gave tips about the island. The front desk staff were very helpful. They also were very kind to keep our luggage even before we checked in . The hotel is very scenic and pleasing. The on-site restaurant Penguino serve great breakfast . All in all great bang for the buck and I will be back for sure.
The best thing about this property was the central location and ability to walk to everything. There is a grocery store (Aki) right around the block from the hotel. The air conditioner worked well. They were able to give me a key to be able to use the safe in the room. This is important to me for valuables. Also the staff member Byron was very sweet/helpful although he speaks very little English!
Very close to the ferry, just opposite the road and a 2 mins walk. Hotel is clean and room was spacious. For the best views, the 4th floor would be the preferable option as 3rd floor below are slightly obstructed by the restaurant In front of the building. Excellent staff. We arrived before check in and were able to drop our bags and even get recommendations of hidden gems around the island.
This place is just a little slice of heaven. Its breathtakingly beautiful. You can tell the staff cares about the place. They also go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your experience. When i go back to Isla Mujeres, there is no doubt that I will be staying here again.
Added perk: the restaurant and drinks are to die for. I had the best arrachera tacos here of my entire trip.
A few rooms on top of a dive school. Very nice staff, quiet at night and just a few steps from the best beach of Isla Mujeres. The room is not fancy but has everything you could need on such an island and the dive school down the stairs was professional and easy to deal with (discount prices when you stay there). I would definitely stay there again when returning to Isla Mujeres
There is a balcony with a lovely view of the bay around Cancun. Accross the street from the hotel is a road that leads to the other side of the island. It's possible to walk on the beach there and stay away from the crowds. This is an excellent choice on Isla Mujeres for those who don't want loud music and crowds. Quiet, peaceful, and kind staff. Great value, too!
The owner and the staff were all very professional and super customer-centric! they went over and beyond our expectations…an experience we will never forget!! the hotel is a little gem secluded in the best area of the island…it has a semi-private beach and any comfort you would want!
The room was nice and spacious. The hotel manager explained everything to us pretty well. Liked that there was a communal kitchen which we could use.
Really good location and around the corner from the ferry port. 10 minutes walk from the best beach on the island Playa Norte.
The best part of the hotel was location far from the crowds of tourists. Outstanding personnel incredibly helpful and professional. Great comfortable room, super size pool, and pretty decent restaurant.
Everything. A genuinely wonderful hotel with amazing staff, lovely touches and great location. I have stayed on Isla a few times and this was one of the best places to stay - especially for a family.
I absolutely loved this hotel, has that Myan tropical feel and is right on the best beach in Mexico. I've been travelling the Riviera Maya for a month and this was my favourite spot!
