This was my second time spending a week in Isla Mujeres.
This was my second time spending a week in Isla Mujeres. The island is very charming and has a lovely local vibe (though there are lots of tourists)--it's nothing like Cancun, though it has plenty of amenities. However this time, I found the services (food, drinks, golf-cart rental, etc) to be very expensive--the prices were comparable and even higher than at home. This was a surprise and we could have budgeted accordingly.
But still, beautiful beaches, water, sunsets, plenty of places to eat/drink.

I think 3 night would be enough to stay on this island.
I think 3 night would be enough to stay on this island. Besides the beaches, there's nothing spectacular to do that you wouldn't find elsewhere in the Cancun-Playa-Tulum area. Bring cash, pesos, it should be renamed to "solo efectivo(cash only) island", restaurants that accept cards are rare, the rates at the local exchange offices are not great.

Beautiful place to visit!
Beautiful place to visit! Friendly people, great live music, lots of restaurants, and food stands. The water was an amazing color of turquoise blue and the sand was soft and white. It was easy to rent a golf cart and tour the entire island. We had an amazing time!

This was our last stop before the end of our three week...
This was our last stop before the end of our three week backpacking around Yucatan . We stayed for five days and it was just right amount of time for us as Isla Mujeres is not that big . It’s however very pretty and scenic and every traveller should make at least 3 day stop there . Town has many restaurants and shops and if you go further away from the port , it gets even prettier . Locals are very friendly , although in town they’re hard to haggle with about prices ( not as cheap and easy as in Cozumel or other islands ) . You sort of get the feel that there are lot of Americans around ( as it’s close to Cancun ) who tend to pay silly money for souvenirs and locals seem to know that so they’re not budging with prices . So word of advice : if you are planning to get cheap souvenirs , get them in Cozumel or Holbox . Other than that , Isla Mujeres is a very pretty island to visit.

Isla can be very busy with overnight guests but day trippers...
Isla can be very busy with overnight guests but day trippers as well. So many places to eat and drink but don’t be afraid to wander off the Main Street and check out smaller establishments and the street carts. Family run places are the best. Not the deals price wise there used to be but still decent value.

Renting a golf cart is fun - but only needed for one day;
Very expensive - the businesses definitely know they have a captive audience; we were visiting from Cancun and booked Nomads x 4 nights (I don't recommend Nomads no "quiet" hours) and in all honesty - we could have taken a day trip and saved money and time. Very "touristy".
Everything about Casa del Jaguar is amazing from the premises itself to the staff and service. We were skeptical at first as there were not many pictures and not a lot of online presence. Me and my wife stayed for 3 nights for our anniversary. All the staff were happy and went above and beyond what they needed to do to help. The hotel itself is beautiful and perfectly clean. There are lovely beds on the best beach in Isla Mujeres. Great views for Sunset and great service in the beach club too. Marco was super helpful at reception too.
We were very pleased with our stay, hotel has a great location, beautiful little terrace, just steps away literally steps away from the Isla mujeres ferry station, and main street, full of restaurants nearby, but not noisy at all, super relax, and welcoming Caribbean vibes.it has a great friendly staff, and their facilities are more really comfortable, the hotel is super clean, modern , comfortable bed, great AC, we will definitely come back next time that we return to Isla Mujeres, also the swimming pool is very nice and clean!
We always stay here because of the great rates, comfort and convenience in a cool local neighborhood …only one block from the beach. Kay Isla is a small cozy, quiet and very clean hotel with views! daily sunrises! and sunsets! The beds are comfy and the bathroom shower heads put out a beautiful spa like spray with hot water. The TV and kitchen are great conveniences!
Best little hotel in the middle of Isla Mujeres. close to everything!
absolutely incredible. this hotel is on the other side of the island to the main centre but it’s perfect. taxi in then rent a golf cart while you stay. the view is breath taking and impossible to describe. you have your own private beach, pool, chairs, hammock, patio. the breakfast on the patio each morning is the best way to start the day. the staff is so friendly and wonderful. i nearly cried having to leave. definitely stay here!
Everything was perfect from the awesome staff who provided an excellent breakfast everyday, the rooms and building as a whole is kept immaculate, Steve the host is an amazing person with tons of knowledge about Mexico and the local area, if we can secure a another reservation we will be back most importantly because of our stay at casa sirena, the premier boutique hotel of isla mujeres
We loved it! Stunning views of the ocean and beautiful sunset views. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are very spacious and have everything you need. Staff were very helpful. The hotel a bit far from Centro but we preferred being in a more peaceful and relaxing part of the island.
Highly recommend staying here. Thank you!
Amazing place, perfect location right on a quiet beach and na easy walk to anywhere. The staff and owner are wonderful and truly know how to make people feel at home. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and I would not even consider another hotel in Isla Mujeres as I know it wouldn't be possible to match Hotel Secreto. Will be back as soon as possible.
Skull's Landing is a small hotel/restaurant/bar within walking distance of downtown Isla Mujeres. It was clean, staff friendly and good prices for food and drink. A/C works great. There is an area to park golf cart too. It has a pier going out into the water with some cute swings. It has a great view from the room (upstairs) we stayed in.
This really is suites from Paradise! The hotel is situated perfectly near the north beach, and is has this secluded garden feel. As soon as you step through the door from the street, you instantly feel the calmness and the paradise-like vibe. Everybody is so friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure!
Nothing but Isla mujeres is truly the most beautiful island I’ve ever been to so don’t let this review put you off from going there. Just avoid this hotel. The only redeeming feature was the restaurant opposite the hotel is v aesthetic and the food there was fine.
Very helpful staff at this beautiful boutique hotel with a gorgeous view on the ocean. Top-notch room and one of the best beds we have slept in. Highly recommended if you want to get away from the busy tourist center of Isla Mujeres.
The beach by the hotel is beautiful, maybe the best on Isla Mujeres. Especially early morning before the crowds of tourists arrive you can have it for yourself. It is great for kids. The food in the restaurant is tasty.
Location was amazing, value for money good for Isla mujeres. Hot shower. We liked the restaurant and live music. Comfortable beds. Hotel is being renovated, lobby already very pretty.
Perfect location. Beautiful ocean view, 11/10 best hotel location I’ve ever seen. Big nice towels. Multiple pools, great downstairs area with pools, tables, music etc.
The position of the hotel right on to the North beach was simply amazing.
The hotel was only a very short safe walk to the Main Street for bars and restaurants.
The best hotel on Isla Mujeres that you can get. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are comfortable. Strong WiFi, rooftop pool and a shared kitchen! :)
