The staff were absolutely brilliant. The breakfast team and the breakfasts were fabulous. We also ate in the beach club on several evenings and enjoyed good food and great service. This is a wonderful hotel. Sometimes the music was a bit too noisy for us but otherwise it was a great break. Thank you so much.

The island has beautiful beaches with white and soft sand.
The island has beautiful beaches with white and soft sand. Island is pretty small and easy to get around but taxi rides are not cheap - on avg 150 pesos even for a 5min ride. You can rent a golf car or bicycles or simply walk. You can easily get around town by walking even if you stay abit off the town area but not if you stay at Punta Coco. Lighting is minimal with some potholes, making walking a tad bit dangerous at night. Activities on the island are quite minimal and the same is offered from one vendor to another. We went for the bioluminescence tour which was ok but is unlike what is shown in the photos. We then went island hopping the next day which we felt was a waste of money bcos there's really nothing much to see and not only did you have to pay for the tour, we also had to pay for the conservation, entrance fee to the island that had a cenote which were added cost and we weren't informed until we got there. As for food, I wouldn't recommend Roots Pizza, the lobster pizza was over priced for a measly portion of lobster meat. Had the 4 cheese pizza and you can tell cheap cheese was used. I do recommend La Casa de Nana for the food - great chef! As for drinks, highly recommend AMA Japanese restaurant for their mixology cocktails - super yums!

Holbox Island is a little piece of paradise, we loved it and would highly recommend it. If you want some beach time while in Mexico and don't like the noise and chaos of playa and Cancun(we didn't like Playa) then Holbox is the place.
Beautiful beaches, lovely restaurants water activities, great holiday.
You can walk around the island or get taxis. Taxi cost about 150 peso depending on where you are staying..
There are shops to buy food and drinks if you are self catering.

Beautiful island with amazing sunset.
Beautiful island with amazing sunset. Very friendly people, reasonable prices, but You have to be very careful with local hotel staff, unfortunately they steal money from your room and hotel management don't do anything. They lie. Don't take cash with you, use only credit cards or take small cash and carry always with you. It didn't happen only to me. It happened to many friends of mine:(

A lovely beach if there was no sargasso.
A lovely beach if there was no sargasso. Streets are all sand, the soft powdery stuff and rocks! Very much in need of a grader as it’s very rough. Way too many taxi’s racing by ( side x side atv’s). If you book a hotel quite always from the ferry or have lots of luggage, you may want to take a taxi ($300 pesos)
Loads of restaurants near the beach downtown, has a younger vibe. Very pricey for everything! $250-300 pesos for a margarita, small. Breakfast runs you $300 pesos if you are getting a beverage as well. ( we ate in ) There are some food carts around the square after 7 pm with affordable tacos, tortas, etc. for more affordable eats. There are a few affordable restaurants as well but you have to ask around or spend some time checking menu prices to find them, they are a few blocks off the Main Street.
We ate at Cenaduria La Tapacia, shared a pastor burrito, very good.
Antojitos Kanasin and D’alex Pizza are also great choices.
So if you have some extra cash to spend it’s a nice place to visit for a short time. Just try to make it before Sargasso season. You would love the beach!
We really like how calm, clean and zen this place is. Very helpful staff, always ready to help with a smile. Because of the specific architectural design of the building, inside of the hotel was always cooler than outside without need of AC which complimented perfectly if you want to have a cool dip into the refreshing pool and cool down from the high degrees of hotness of the island. Room was spacious and clean, has a good AC. Definitely recommend to everyone! The place is a 5 min walk from the beach and the downtown centre.
Cute boutique hotel, would definitely stay here again!! location is great, just far enough from town to be quieter, still close enough to go out for dinner or shopping, without it being a hassle. Its also close to the nicer beach areas we prefer near the sand bar
Breakfast was good, eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit, yogurt and juices among other choices each day
Luis at reception was very helpful, he was a great source of information, remembers every guest’s name, and was working on his 4th language I believe, he was a delight!
we loved everything. even before arriving the staff was super helpful accommodating all our needs. it continue when we arrived to the nicest places in the island. the setting is gorgeous the ambiance is very nice the food superb we enjoyed the included yoga clases and the gym is above expectations for a hotel this size. for us everything was top notch and is the first choice for our next time in the island
It was the best hotel we stayed during our trip in Mexico. It is great for couples, we had every morning a romantic breakfast next to the beach. Everything looks like on the pictures and the staf is amazing (btw great food!). They made an extra experience out of our stay. The pool is cool and super clean and the beach the best what we saw on the island. We didn't want to leave!
Such a lovely hotel, felt very boutique as only a small amount of rooms. The room itself was beautiful, clean, just a little on the small side as we struggled to put our 2 large suitcases whilst having room to walk around. Loved the terrace to hang out in the deck chairs and hammock. Location was great, close to the beach and some great restaurants and bars a few minutes away.
The personnel and owners were super friendly and helpful. The location was very close to the beautiful white beaches of Isla Holbox. Though, we preferred parts of the beaches that were less taken over by hotels. Sirenas Caribbean Rooms had one of the best 'value for money' location & rooms at the overpriced Holbox island.
Location close to the main street and beach, 5-10min walk
The room was big enought for two adults and we heard not that much noise
The price with the offer is totaly fair
Comfy bed
I recommend the hotel for people who are looking for a simple/cheap room which they can sleep and spend more time outside.
Want to feel like at home but in a 5 star luxury hotel in Holbox? Be in the best spot with amazing staff, unparalleled installations, best hotel quality - price, and super new? Stay at this hotel.
Since the arrival, the staff was super welcoming, rooms amazing, best breakfast we had in Mexico.
Lovely little boutique hotel - pretty quiet, outside seating area to have a coffee/food, provided fresh water and had a kettle to use for coffee in the reception area. First time we had seen a conche shell as a tap - lovely touch. Staff were really welcoming and helpful - enjoyed our stay here.
This exceptional boutique hotel is right on the beach on the quiet side of Holbox. Easy 20 minute walk into town. You could stay here and never have to leave if you choose not to. The staff and owners are the kindest, nicest people. My happy place for sure!
The room was nicely decorated and relatively comfortable but there were many things we didn’t like about the hotel. I would not recommend staying here. (This comes from a person who lives in Mexico and have been to Holbox a few times.)
Great location and walking distance to everything and the two decent size pools are a big plus when you travel with family. Also the staff was very friendly and courteous both the hotel and the restaurant i give them 5 stars
Lovely boutique hotel! Staff went above and beyond. We loved the location - walkable to town but a bit away from the craziness. A delicious breakfast each morning combined with the hotel's view was perfection.
the property is in the centre of town so you’re never more than five minutes from anything. very nicely designed… I felt like I was in Pinterest! lovely cute boutique hotel with a mini jet pool on the roof
This hotel is in the perfect location. It's in the heart of the city. Exceptional staff, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and a beautiful rooftop with pool overlooking the island.
- The staff there were so friendly and helpful
- The hotel is like a hidden oasis from the bustling island
- 10 minute walk to Punta Coco Beach
- The pancakes were awesome
Lovely small boutique hotel with 6 rooms some of which are on stilts in the palm tree tops. Lovely people running the facility, great breakfast. Something very special.
The hotel was nice with a big room, a well equipped bathroom and a great view on the rooftop of the island at breakfast. Great Wifi as well if you want to work.
The location is great, because the hotel remains in the quiet part of the Island, with not as many tourists as in the centre. The hotel is also very pretty.
