We moved from Boston to Playa del Carmen, Mexico in 2008 and we haven't looked back since. We came originally on vacation and saw the opportunity to open a successful property management company. Within 3 months of returning from vacation, we had quit our jobs, sold everything (except our condo and car) and drove 4,500 miles from Boston to Playa with our 2 miniature schnauzers. We absolutely love Mexico. The food is fantastic - we eat out often, enjoying a variety of cuisines in one of a kind establishments, most of which are within walking distance of our condo. We have formed a large circle of friends, mostly retired expats, and even host Thanksgiving with usually more than 50 attendees! For Halloween a group of 20+ friends come over, all dressed in costume and we hit 5th Avenue and hand out candy to all the children. It is the most fun day of the entire year! When we are not working, Matt enjoys working out, reading, playing bridge, cooking gourmet meals and visiting the beach. This is the best Ocean Front penthouse in Playa del Carmen downtown, the view of 180 degrees of the full ocean while you are sitting in the terrace or jacuzzi is the best and breathtaking. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, the master bedroom has King size bed, sliding door to the terrace and private bathroom, the second master bedroom has queen size bed, sliding door to the terrace and private bathroom and the third bedroom has 2 twin beds and share a bathroom with the guest area (this bathroom can be a lock to the guest area to make it private for the bedroom). There is also a sofa bed in the living room that can accommodate 2 more people. Since the living room and dining room you have a great view of the ocean, the kitchen is completely equipped. The terrace is really spacious just 1450 square feet and private only for this apartment, there is outdoor furniture, a table for 8 people, sunbeds, a Weber gas grill and a beautiful plunge pool (there is no warm water, just the jets) with a view to the ocean. In this condominium, we have also a washer and dryer and wi-fi. There is a tv in the main bedroom and living room with satellite signal.

Neighborhood info

The location is just perfect, it is located in the 10th Street just in the heart of Playa del Carmen only 1 block from the 5th Avenue where you can enjoy the best restaurants, bars and shops. There is a Wal-Mart just 4 blocks from the building. In the building, there is a big pool exclusive for the guest and also have access to the sunbeds by the pool and the ocean.
