I think 3 night would be enough to stay on this island.
I think 3 night would be enough to stay on this island. Besides the beaches, there's nothing spectacular to do that you wouldn't find elsewhere in the Cancun-Playa-Tulum area. Bring cash, pesos, it should be renamed to "solo efectivo(cash only) island", restaurants that accept cards are rare, the rates at the local exchange offices are not great.

Beautiful place to visit!
Beautiful place to visit! Friendly people, great live music, lots of restaurants, and food stands. The water was an amazing color of turquoise blue and the sand was soft and white. It was easy to rent a golf cart and tour the entire island. We had an amazing time!

This was our last stop before the end of our three week...
This was our last stop before the end of our three week backpacking around Yucatan . We stayed for five days and it was just right amount of time for us as Isla Mujeres is not that big . It’s however very pretty and scenic and every traveller should make at least 3 day stop there . Town has many restaurants and shops and if you go further away from the port , it gets even prettier . Locals are very friendly , although in town they’re hard to haggle with about prices ( not as cheap and easy as in Cozumel or other islands ) . You sort of get the feel that there are lot of Americans around ( as it’s close to Cancun ) who tend to pay silly money for souvenirs and locals seem to know that so they’re not budging with prices . So word of advice : if you are planning to get cheap souvenirs , get them in Cozumel or Holbox . Other than that , Isla Mujeres is a very pretty island to visit.

Isla can be very busy with overnight guests but day trippers...
Isla can be very busy with overnight guests but day trippers as well. So many places to eat and drink but don’t be afraid to wander off the Main Street and check out smaller establishments and the street carts. Family run places are the best. Not the deals price wise there used to be but still decent value.

Renting a golf cart is fun - but only needed for one day;
Very expensive - the businesses definitely know they have a captive audience; we were visiting from Cancun and booked Nomads x 4 nights (I don't recommend Nomads no "quiet" hours) and in all honesty - we could have taken a day trip and saved money and time. Very "touristy".

Isla Mujeres is not laid back island any more.
Isla Mujeres is not laid back island any more. The smell of the gasoline and the noise from the too many golf carts is terrible. The North beach is so packed with tourists, you can't put the towel. The price of the food and drinks are too high!
It's a shame that there is no vegetation on the north side. Almost every single tree is is destroyed for a new property to be built-in.
What a convenient location! Get off ferry, exit to the street turn right and go 50 meters and you're there! Like a 2 mkn walk with luggage! Completey walkable to all of the north end, very easy no elevation change. Super cool neighborhoods to explore. Best cart rental across the street. The staff were super in both the hotel and restaurant. A bit if a warning as there's a busy street out front so the noise bleed does get heard in the room. Didn't bother me, bit if that's an issue wear earplugs. The view was top!
What a great apartment this is! it is brand new (which is why it has no reviews) and has everything one needs during a short stay in Isla Mujeres including a big comfortable bed and a very modern and clean kitchen. Bathroom was big and clean with a big shower (with hot water). the best part of the apartment was the patio with a fan so you could enjoy some shade in the morning. if you don’t mind being directly in the center, this is a fantastic option.
Amazing hosts and accommodation.
I was made to feel welcome for the duration of my stay at Sea Hawks. Not only is this fantastic accommodation and hospitality but also an amazing dive shop.
The proximity to the beach is fantastic! Walk 50m straight down the road and you are on the best beach on the island.
I recommend anyone coming to Isla mujeres to stay here, regardless of if you plan to dive or not.
I will certainly be staying with them again.
The service was perfect, they are super friendly. The food was very good, it was very clean, the rooms are big and very beautiful.
We experienced a storm during our stay which made it a bit difficult that day to “enjoy”. The staff did their ultimate best to make us as comfortable as possible and made sure we got everything we needed. The view is amazing and there is always nice music all over the hotel.
My boyfriend and I have nothing to complain.
We always stay here because of the great rates, comfort and convenience in a cool local neighborhood …only one block from the beach. Kay Isla is a small cozy, quiet and very clean hotel with views! daily sunrises! and sunsets! The beds are comfy and the bathroom shower heads put out a beautiful spa like spray with hot water. The TV and kitchen are great conveniences!
Best little hotel in the middle of Isla Mujeres. close to everything!
I was really just looking for a clean room and a hot shower. I got both of those and my stay was exactly what I expected. For the money, it’s exactly what I paid for. It’s not a luxury hotel, it’s for someone that wants to save some cash. Besides, we don’t spend much time in our room anyways. The staff was pleasant and helpful. They cleaned my room everyday. The location was good because it was so close to town.
Pretty hotel in the heart of Isla Mujeres, we were pleasantly suprised as we booked late and it was one of the last hotel available : but we really appreciated it !
The rooms are huge and very spacious with a big balcony (sea view)
The breakfast was ok, not incredible but it's nice to have it included
What isn’t there to like? This hotel by far was the best I’ve seen and I’ve travelled around the world a fair bit. Everywhere you looked it was perfect, you felt the luxury feeling as soon as the boat picks you up. The butler service Omar was fantastic and all staff in the whole resort were exceptional.
Best location for hotels on the island. Overlooking the ocean but just a few blocks from downtown and North Beach. Room is huge and so clean. We did not see a single bug on site and for a tropical island this is a serious accomplishment. Staff is awesome. Breakfast (included) was so good everyday.
Room is spacious, clean, very comfortable, common areas of the hotel are beautiful: garden is great, beautiful little terrace to sit outside our room, the pool is lovely. The staff are very helpful and friendly and it is close to the best beach in the island.
I loved everything about this airbnb, it's very spacious, very clean, right in the middle of Isla Mujeres, so many places to choose from for food. The whole island just feels cozy. It's honestly the best value for your money, I highly recommend it!
This property is beautiful. Really picturesque. The staff are lovely. The dorms are clean. I would go back 👍🏼👍🏼 the social activities organised were also great! Feels more like a hotel as far as luxury goes
I liked the location of the hotel on North Beach and the ocean view from my hotel room. Our cleaning maid was very attentive to our needs. Our room was kept clean. Mike, the director of the hotel was nice.
Na Balam was a very nice, small hotel! It has a great location, easy walk to North Beach, shopping and restaurants, while still in a quiet neighborhood. Staff was exceptional -- very helpful and gracious.
This is an excellent place to stay during your trip to Isla Mujeres. It's close to the best beach, immaculately clean and managed with professionalism. Highly recommended.
best location on island, walking street with restaurants and shops nearby, great beach, hotel use beach lounge chairs and umbrellas, very helpful and courteous staff!
A good hotel which is pretty standard fare in terms of facilities but decent value and amazing location! Exactly where you want to be on Isla Mujeres. I'd stay again!
