Location was fine . Near by Resturants, catering for different tastes was good. Walking track from the hotel to the Mall was appreciated . The crafts markets nearby was also a good idea. The Children's play ground nearby very good.

There are not many things that one can dislike! The staff, both at reception and in all associated restaurants are top-welcoming and caring! Location is great, with direct access to the coast, and in waking distance to town center. The food in restaurants is good, and ww tried all 3 of the eateries. The laundry was done the same day, which is important for rambling travelers as we were during our Namibian tour.

We were in southern Africa for just over six weeks. This hotel was one of our three favorite hotels on this trip. I asked for an ocean view deluxe room and that is exactly what we got. It was a larger room than we expected and a wonderful view of the ocean and beach below the hotel

My husband and I stayed at Strand for 2 nights on our first visit to Swakopmund and we loved it. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the room was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. We had a corner suite that was huge, with multiple balconies overlooking the ocean. The bathroom was also very large, with a generous amount of towels and bath products. We also enjoyed the plentiful breakfast options. In addition to breakfast, we ate in both the Ocean Cellar and Brewer & Butcher. My husband was blown away by his food at both restaurants - he had the “posh fish & chips” at Ocean Cellar and a burger at B&B. The sushi I ordered at Ocean Cellar was also delicious, as were the cocktails. I didn’t love the fish & chips I ordered at B&B but overall it was a good meal. We would definitely stay at the Strand again if we return to Swakopmund. I would also recommend the corner suite if you’re looking for views or a lot of space.
