The Hague is much less touristy than Amsterdam and far less industrial than Rotterdam. I fell in love with the city on my first visit and have been back twice
It's easy to get around the city, everyone speaks English and the architecture is impresive.
If I'd visited in my 20's I would have definitely considered living there permanently

what I liked most was that it was easy to walk around or take public transport, but food was very expensive. My favourite places was going to the den hagg city centre and open market. I eat their fish called Lekker bek and their soup called Erwtensoep with Broodje Kroket. I loved their chips with mayo, very nice. I will avoid to eat close to the train stations is more expensive.

Areas outside centre also very worthwhile visiting.
Areas outside centre also very worthwhile visiting. Interesting architecture (including Art Nouveau), nice shopping streets (like Frederik Hendrik Laan), interesting musea (Maurits Huis, Kunstmuseum, Gevangenis museum, Mesdag Panorama a.o.), Scheveningen haven and route to Scheveningen Pier. Numerous restaurants a ll over the city and pleasant shopping centre (Passage interesting!) close by and within the city center.
Public transport (tram, bus) is very good and frequent till late evening. Den Haag is a green city with many parks and quiet places for a rest .

I came via Hollandse spoor directly from the airport with my suitcase and the bus station was right there in front of the hotel. Check in was smooth. I was offered a nice hot tea coming in from the cold and later on even a snack of choice. (My favorite... bbq chips :D ). The room was a corner room on the 6th floor with nice view over the city on two sides of the room. The room layout was very practical and nice. The kitchenette equipment for my particular stay. The Hotel is situated very strategically as it is easy to take the bus or even walk to the train station if you choose to do so. And it seems save. If you like junk food a McDonald is right on the corner. But also a convenient store not so for off. And you can always order in food.

The de facto capital of The Netherlands is relatively small,...
The de facto capital of The Netherlands is relatively small, but the nearby resort of Scheveningen and historical town of Delft are effectively suburbs. There are plenty of museums, the highlight of which is the Kunstmuseum, designed by H. P. Berlage, with an excellent modern art collection.
If you are travelling for a conference in World Forum this is the best place. Located right in the congress area, close to Europol, OPCW, ICTY, HCCH,... Room was very comfortable. Good TV and bluetooth sound speaker were nice addition. Breakfast was very good with adequate selection of food. Tram stop, street with shops and places to eat very are very close. I can only recomend. Staff was nice, friendly and there was no problem with early check in. City center can be easily accesed by tram. Scheveningen and seaside are also relatively close.
Really well placed hotel in the centre of The Hague, close to some great restaurants and a number of attractions. The room was large and we even had a little private garden which would be lovely in good weather (it was February and raining!). Nice decor and comfortable bed - the bathroom was also really big and very nicely done. Staff were friendly and helpful, we didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, but you in addition to a basic buffet you could also order dishes like waffles etc done to order. It was a nice hotel!
Breakfast was, as promised, wonderful. The location is not something I would complain about, it's far from the city center, but I had made myself comfortable with Den Haag public transport, for a considerable gain of cost. The location is obviously much more attractive during the summer season - close to the beach :)
The owner was very nice and flexible, i.e. allowed me to change the number of guests twice with no additional charge.
All in all I recall this stay as a positive experience.
We stay there during Christmas. Cristina is so wonderful and nice. Because of the rain, Cristina gave us two raincoats for free. The location is the best. The study and work space as well as the leisure area can be easily found and used for free. Because of this fabulous space and Cristina, we stayed in the Hague and of course this hotel one more night. Btw, I love the chess games. This hotel would be definitely our first choice when traveling.
Our stay at the Marriott was everything we'd hoped it would be, and more, from start to finish. The staff greeted and cared for us so incredibly well throughout our stay, going the extra mile time and time again to ensure the entire family felt welcomed and enjoyed the stay. We all recommend this hotel to other travellers without hesitation and will definitely be staying again on our next visit to The Hague.
We hadn't visited The Hague before and I was surprised to find out how well located the hotel was. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean, well appropriated and comfortable. Our lost suitcases never showed up while we were at the hotel, 10 days later the staff received them and notified us. They then kept them safe for us until we could return to retrieve them. We will forever be grateful.
1. Perfect location, just several tram stops from centraal station, and then you will arrive in less than 1 minute. The surrounding feels save and quiet .As the name of the hotel tells, some embassies are indeed located at that place.
2. Best staff I’ve ever met!!!! Very helpful and polite from the very first second we arrived at the hotel, they even give us detailed travel tips for the city den Haag.
The breakfast was excellent with a large variety of things. Staff was very helpful and always smiling and amiable to help with all things. The fitness center was great especially because it had barbells and free weights which is unheard of in a hotel fitness area. The location was excellent and very convenient to all things. The Hague is beautiful, clean, and friendly.
Our family love this hotel. My dog and I try to visit the hotel at least once every few months. The hotel has very friendly staff, they love dogs., There is a beach for dogs. Beautiful sea view, delicious continental breakfast and buffet. Near a variety of restaurants, supermarket, bus stop to go to the city center. We will return to this hotel again for sure.
Staying here for the 2nd time while discovering Netherlands and it was a good and pleasant experience - I recommend this hotel for sure. Everything in the room was good, especially the space and the view - amazing. The stuff was super helpful, and you know - it is far more important than some old furniture or something like that. People and relationships matter.
Friendly and helpful staff. Delightful modern tasteful decor throughout building. Location is perfect to walk into town or even for a longer walk or tram to Scheveningen beach. We always stayed at other hotels in The Hague, which are also good, but found this hotel the best for the areas that we frequent when we visit. Fantastic breakfast.
The hotel architecture. The lobby. The front staff.
The location is exceptional. Accessibility by tram, etc.
Was our second stay, and we got 5 rooms. Recommend the hotel overall.
Few things to adjust, but a very nice way to discover Den Haag and the region.
Very nice to be downtown and only 30 min from Scheveningen beach.
A lovely hotel, felt very spacious both in the rooms and the general environment. The staff couldn't have been more helpful over my queries about both my bike and breakfast. Would definitely stay here again next time I'm in the Hague. Tram to the city centre was easy although I often walked as it was a pleasant route.
This is one of the best hotels I stayed for the past two years in the Netherlands. It is highly recommended for both short and longer stay. Excellent location, car park icluding EV charge is right below the hotel which is very convenient and all the public transport connections are there. Excellent stuff. Excellent.
The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to Den Haag Centraal train station, and tram station. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the room was clean and tidy.
Overall, our stay was great and would totally go back there again.
Very nice location. Close to the city center and a nice neighborhood around. Also tram station really close to it. Clean hotel with nice atmosfere. The staff was nice and the whole environment too.
Lovely and cozy room! The room has some kitchen equipment which is very useful. It was clean and quiet.
The hotel is ideally located between the city center and the beach. Highly recommend!
The hotel is located at the heart of The Hague international zone. Our room had a balcony with a nice view on the park. The breakfast was great. Public transport is easily accessible.
For The Netherlands boring rules standards, this is still the best Dutch hostel so far that I've been to. Only the Flying Pig Beach Hostel (in Noordwijk) can match, in all aspects.
