Stavanger is beautiful and I will absolutely go back.
Stavanger is beautiful and I will absolutely go back. We came to hike the pulpit. Absolutely beautiful and sunny. I recommend starting early.
We started at 8 am with not too many people.
A different story when we were coming back down. Stavanger and the The Pulpit or Preikestolen was absolutely wort a visit. The Norwegian engineering of the tunnels are amazing. 4 bars on my cell the whole way through the tunnels below the water.

If you have extra time after beautiful Bergen and scenic Flam/Naeroyfjord cruise (not to be missed), Stavanger is charming for two nights (took express bus from Bergen -- easy and convenient downtown to downtown). In Stavanger, I took the Rodne cruise-only under Pulpit Rock (very enjoyable) along Lysefjord because I cannot hike up Pulpit Rock. In Stavanger, I also visited Gamle Stavanger (quaint), the Printing, Canning and Maritime Museums (all small but excellent), as well as the informative Petroleum Museum (near Hotel Victoria). I was able to take the Flybussen airport bus upon my departure and the Stavanger airport is convenient.

A quiet place to stay with nice friendly staff.
A quiet place to stay with nice friendly staff. Facilities (kitchen & bath room ) need to be updated. Location is not so easy to access by walking from city center or bus station with a luggage because it is an uphill walking for several blocks.

I enjoyed being close to the Mosvatnet to do the special extra Norway Labour Day parkrun. It is about 15 minutes walk to get to the Mosvatnet to the start and finish of the Stavanger parkrun. The hotel is about half an hour's walk from the city center. If being closer to the city center is more priority I would recommend a hotel in the city center. It is a pretty port with an old town. A few museums to go into if it is raining. There is also bus top tours to do which I enjoyed and would recommend as you get a good overview of the city and learn some history at the same time.

It is a mirific city, small islands around it, you can travel to these via the public transportation (Kolumbus). The tour to Preikestolen is a must, it is one of the most beautiful tours in the world! Very cozy city and nice people. I fell in love with it! Very helpful at the tourist information also.

Charming city and a hub for day trips out of the city.
Charming city and a hub for day trips out of the city. Plenty of hiking or boat trips to the fjords. Good cafes and amazing restaurants representing the world and/or local produce.
Many museums. I recommend the library/culturehouse Sølvberget, for both food, arts, activities and architecture.
Very clean, comfortable and friendly hotel - we stayed 2 nights on our way out to a hiking trip in the Lysefjord. Many reviews mention the breakfast and rightly so; it was one of the most impressive breakfast spreads we've seen and was absolutely delicious including beautiful cappuccinos. Beds were very comfortable. Location is very central for walking around the heart of Stavanger (and for running our pre-hike grocery errands etc.) Norway is famously expensive, but in local context this hotel was good value.
love this hotel. The staff is always extremely helpful and gave me an extra duvet for my arthritic shoulders. The room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was extremely good. It is just up a hill from the wharf in stavanger so for me it is perfectly situated. Some people may have trouble climbing the hill but taxis are always available. The bus to climb pulpit's rock picked my up right at the front door. This is the place to stay in stavanger.
The property is in a fantastic location, right in the city centre and just a 2 minute walk from the bus and train station. Check-in was very easy and hassle free. The room itself was beautiful, modern, and very stylish. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the WiFi was fast. All in all, it was worth every penny and would be the only place I would consider staying again if I were to return to Stavanger.
Great location and free parking. Breakfast was wonderful (80 Nok.) Staff very helpful. Wifi was hit and miss. Sometimes it was lightening fast, and other times it didn't work. We had a terrific room with a shower and sink. Toilets down the hall but always clean and we never once had to wait. This hotel is the best value for your money in Stavanger.
The price is very good.
Very friendly owner, give useful parking information.
Good location.
Beautiful , modern and comfortable little apartment.
one of the best apartment during our vacation in Norway.
You can find everything you need inside the kitchen such as coffee, tea, suger, salt, pepper, soya sauce, noddle etc.
Big and comfortable bed.
Fair price, great breakfast (it also starts very early, therefore convenient for hikers), nice lobby area (with free tea, coffee and small snacks), and convenient bed. The room is minimalistic, which is all you need if you came to explore Norway and not to spend time in the hotel. The supermarket is just around the corner.
Super convenient to downtown Stavanger- short walk to the harbor and downtown. Quick grocery next door. Only downside was expensive parking but that's downtown I guess. Breakfast was a little disappointing compared to other Comfort Hotels I stayed at but still decent.
- super comfortable bed
- great location, close to everything and bus from/to airport stops right in front
- sauna and gym have great view
- breakfast is ok, but mediocre compared to breakfasts from other hotels in Norway
- big TV with Chrome cast
- nice staff
It was one of the best stays. My daughter just loved swimming pool area. We were impressed by breakfast and overall design/atmosphere. Room was very comfortable and nice looking. The location is brilliant, right near the city centre and flybus.
The best hotel in Stavanger! Perfect location in the city center, professional and empathetic staff, small but very cozy rooms, very tasty breakfasts.
P.S. Sending a big thank you to Erik from Reception for his kind help!
I recommend this hotel to everyone. It is in the middle of Stavanger. I think it is one of the best location's I have ever been. it also felt like I loved their for the 2 nights is stayed. It was cozy and the coffee was great.
Perfect location, just a few minutes walk from Stavanger city centre, the host was incredibly welcoming and helpful! The BnB itself is beautifully furnished, and I particularly enjoyed the dining room and reading area! 😄
Breakfast was fantastic! Lots of options from which to choose! The location is right on the water and in the middle of Stavanger! We could walk everywhere!
