Good roads, easy to get around (no problems using gps maps) Saturday markets, fresh seafood, close to shopping centre. Our function was catered and the food was amazing. Short walk for evening swim at the beach.
Close to other townships eg: Katikati.

The CBD seems alright, can be explored on foot. The highlight of our trip was Mt Maunganui. The Mount Hotpools was wonderful (pricey though), beautiful tiles, water and view. And the stretch of the Maunganui beach was just beautiful. We picked one far away from the centre (and towards Papamoa) where there was lifeguard, and truly enjoyed the waves for hours. It a great place for families who love spending time in the open water.

It is a travel destination that I definitely want to visit at least once a year.
I would like to recommend that you climb Mount Manganui and take a hot spring bath in the salt springs.
I can't forget the size and taste of Copenhagen ice cream across from the salt springs.
Playing in the water or walking on the beach are healing points that cannot be missed.
Cost-effectiveness of accommodation is one of the most disappointing aspects of most travel destinations.

Beautiful looking place, great climate, but a lot of blatant racism. Lots of indigenous artwork around city was vandalised. A lot of scowls from people when speaking re reo Māori (even with basic greetings).

There are plenty of bars and places to eat, the city is pleasant enough although access to the harbour is limited and the whole place is overshadowed by its proximity to Mt Maunganui and its fabulous beaches.

Nice weather.
Nice weather. A big problem with Tauranga is the reading system - absolutely terrible road set up. Worse reading than Auckland and Wellington. Shocking road system - very messy and poor signage. High risk roads for accidents and visitors to Tauranga getting lost.
This has been our favourite overnight stay during our trip to the north island. Excellent accommodation, lovely hosts with lots of great information about the area and gave us tips on where to go once we left. Highly recommend this property. After staying in motels most of this trip my husband who is quite tall appreciated the shower, best shower he's had in 2 weeks 😄. Great location as well.
Erika and Marco are a lovely couple and were so hospitable and helpful in planning our time in Tauranga. Erika’s attention to details is evident from the books, filtered water and a fully stocked bathroom. There is a table with two chairs in the front yard in the middle of the beautiful flower garden. We highly recommend Marco and Erika’s to anyone looking for a tranquil place to stay.
The hotel was modern looking and our room had a view over the bay. Pool was nice to cool off and breakfast room/restaurant had a good view over the bay. Easy walking into the CBD with plenty of bars and restaurants. Short drive to the beaches and entertainment at the Mount. Also, good bus service outside the hotel to the mount.
Staff were good. Parking on site.
I came here with my dog to compete in the Tauranga dog show, the property has a gate that leads right into a park so I was able to toilet and walk my dog each morning and evening with total ease. The location was perfect for what I needed, with shops nearby. It was my first time in Tauranga and it was wonderful!
To answern i had to fill in false answers to give the actual. Our stay in tauranga ended up being very nice because we found d another hotel. This was due to the fact that we turned up and were told there were no rooms at all available and should have never been given the reservation by booking .Com.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the 850 Cameron Motel during a work trip to Tauranga with two colleagues, We were all extremely impressed with the accommodations and overall experience, and I would highly recommend this motel to anyone traveling to the area for business or leisure.
the facility was amazing and so was the management. great setup with the bedroom and bathroom connected in a suite. the morning breakfast was outstanding. I’ve never had such a great experience! I highly recommend Seascape Villa B&B in Tauranga.
Nice big clean modern room with an exceptionally comfortable bed. Everything is as described in Booking.com. Multilevel parking is at the back of the hotel but it is connected through on the lobby level. 5-10 min walk to the restaurant precinct
Perfect location!
is right there between Tauranga & Mount Maunganui, everything is pretty close to the hotel, super handy. staff very friendly, rooms modern and super tidy and clean. súper recommendable.
Great location, right in town and all day parking very close (free parking overnight). I liked the lack of plastic - no plastic bottles of cheap shampoo/conditioner, shower caps or tiny slithers of soap.
the cleanliness of the room and the hotel was number 1 as that makes such a big difference when you can relax and enjoy your stay in any place. It was very clean and well maintained, thank you
Beautiful clean modern unit, with lovely views, and very private which is awesome. a little far from the city but buses are very accessible and cheap and makes for a good way to view the city
Exceptional view (right on/over the water) from our room. Beautiful both day and night. The hotel location gave us great, easy access to the city and Mount. Super good stay...
Really nice place and location with great facilities, cleanliness of the room, and the host is exceptionally friendly. In total, it's better than 5-star hotels in NZ
We stayed with Quest because it is 1 minute walk from Baycourt where the Celtica Irish dance show was performing. Perfect hotel when visiting Tauranga for shows
