capital of adventure and sightseeing. easy life in the town with so many choices, particularly outdoor equipments. driving around the lake fantastic. only one thing need to mention that so many dead small animals on the road (crashed with traffic vehicles), need to remove quickly.

Very busy when we visited in April.
Very busy when we visited in April. Lots of eateries around the wharf area but most are expensive. Had a good meal at the Irish pub at a reasonable price. Went for a trip across the lake (40 mins each way) on the old steam boat the Earnslaw. The stop is to drop off people who want to visit the high country farm. We paid nearly $100 each just for the boat trip! Certainly not worth the money. That does not include any food or drinks. These can be purchased on the boat.

Lovely place but be prepared for it to be expensive.
Lovely place but be prepared for it to be expensive. Car parking is difficult and one needs coins for a meter. Who has coins these days?
Not to be missed lunchtime trip on the Earnslaw. It was also very central for visiting places near Town if you have a car. Lots of unique places to eat that match all tastes. Easy to get around Town walking plus alongside the river. Avoid taking car into CBD,

Queenstown was amazing and our accommodation at Platinum Villas was fantastic!
We took a cruise to Doubtful Sound with Real Journeys NZ and all staff were professional, friendly and efficient. My father left his wallet on the cruise and they found it! He was so grateful....
We had a very bad experience though at Paradise, Glenorchy. The Manager is a woman by the name of Alice, she initially allowed us to walk around the grounds (I asked her when we arrived) but then she DEMANDED we leave the premises because in her opinion we walked too close to the accommodation. It was the most embarrassing and humiliating experience I have ever had, my elderly parents who were visiting from South Africa were shocked. There was absolutely no need to be so unprofessional and we feel she may need anger management training not to mention and intensive customer service course.
Friends had been married at this location a year ago and we revisited to show my parents what a lovely place it was. We will NEVER visit again :(
This property exceeded my expectations, it might be slightly further from the centre of Queenstown than some other places but it's still short, and it's a lovely flat stroll along the edge of the lake to get there so definitely a lot easier than hiking up the hill to most of the other hotels after a day of skiing! The bathrooms appear to have been renovated since they took their booking.com photos, the rooms are spacious, the beds comfy, the staff helpful, location's great and the price is super cheap!
Loved this place after a recent BAD stay down the road at the HEARTLAND HOTEL🤬 on New Years Eve. I will stay at the Copthorne Hotel and Apartments every time I come to Queenstown. The staff were lovely. We got the room we booked. It was clean, neat, modern and with the best view and great balcony. The Wi-Fi was great. It was a short walk into town. There was plenty of undercover parking. The shower was large with great preasure
Not the most obvious place to stay in Queenstown, but there's a bus stop outside the hotel for buses into town where parking is a nightmare, a major shopping centre next door and a second one minutes away, the tour companies collect from the hotel and the flight tours are a few minutes walk from the hotel. The room was clean, well equipped and comfortable with a great view down the Remarkables.
One of the selling points of this hotel is the beautiful view of the Remarkables and, if you book a room with a mountain view, you will enjoy stunning vistas across the Kawarau river. The room was clean and the staff polite. There are a few restaurants and shops within a 10 minute walk of the hotel - we particularly recommend Tham Nak Thai in the Remarkables Town Park shopping centre.
Great location. Everything about the hotel is exceptional. Quality of facility, rooms, service, breakfast, cleanliness, all very good. Loved the complimentary cocktail hour every evening, great way to meet fellow guests over canapes and a glass (or two) of wine. The hotel is not cheap, but it is very good value!
Great location - walking distance into centre of Queenstown.
Delightful staff - so helpful. Special shout out to Alexandra (restaurant manager at breakfast] - so professional, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble - the hotel are lucky to have you on their staff!
Lake view room was fantastic.
Amazing location, looking out over the lake. Easy to catch the bus or drive into the centre of Queenstown.
The apartment had everything you needed from kitchen utensils to bathroom products and private drive. Communal facilities were also fab.
It was also really clean, everything seemed brand new.
Really modern and clean, great location just a short walk from the centre of Queenstown. Staff were super helpful and friendly. This is a perfect base for a stay in Queenstown. The room is compact but perfect for what we needed. Loved the vending machine for hot drinks - hot chocolate is the best!
The room had very good views of the lake, it had a balcony. They have restaurant right in the hotel. The location was very close to the town centre, walking distance. The reception was beautiful. It was expensive but we did go close to new year so probably that justifies.
The resort is gorgeous, food at the restaurant is lovely, the service at the Spa is terrific, we had an amazing 1 hour couples massage. Access to the water taxi is a super cheap and convenient way to get to the heart of Queenstown for some shopping or restaurants.
So long as you have transport, this was a good location - Frankton is very close to the airport for Milford Sound tours, has a big shopping centre close by, and is an easy run into the centre of Queenstown (about 6km). Kitchen was well equipped.
Our room was quiet and overlooked the inner courtyard, with the cherry trees in bloom it was quite lovely. The hotel is close to the park and very central for Queenstown with many places to eat within easy walking distance.
The room was gorgeous, had everything we needed. Really comfortable. Little bit outside of queenstown centre but the bus ran from the street across from the hotel to the town centre very frequently!
Bus service just down the road, no need to drive to the centre of Queenstown… sustainability ethos….both with the hotel building and its services…. Comfortable rooms..
