D’Archiac Cottage is a well designed, sunny house with a large deck from which to catch the sunset over Mount Sefton and the mountains surrounding Lake Tekapo. The modern open plan living and kitchen is wonderful for being together, kept cosy by a wood fire and heat pump, and cool in the summer with fans and large doors opening to the verandah. The four spacious bedrooms and three bathroom spaces cater perfectly to a group, with a large main bathroom (shower, toilet, basin), plus an additional shower and toilet. The verandah is a lovely spot for summer evenings or catching the warmth of the winter sun while enjoying the vistas. With a front yard great for outdoor games, there is also a children’s playground and large park just across the road. A large drying room provides storage for ski gear in winter and water gear in summer, along with the ease of a full laundry. The covered carport means no frosty windows in the morning and there is plenty of additional parking on site for a boat or extra vehicles. Just a 5 minute walk above the lakefront and village centre supermarket, bars, restaurants, cafes and takeaway options. Also nearby is the Cairns Golf Course, canals for fishing and a myriad of walkways. By prior agreement this pet-friendly house welcomes well-behaved dogs, so your whole family can enjoy the break (not fenced).

It's a quiet area but a very short walk to the community hall which includes tennis courts, basketball and netball hoops. There is a golf course just around the corner, also walking distance with your clubs on a trundler! The village centre is also just a 5 minute walk down to the main road with all the restaurants and shops. The hot pools and ice rink are about a 15 minute walk or a very short drive and Roundhill ski field is a stunning 30 min drive up the side of the lake. Lake Tekapo is renowned for it's stunning night sky, beautiful scenery and unbeatable climate! The area offers a wide range of activities throughout the year, including star-gazing, hot pools. skiing. walking. horse-trekking, fishing, scenic flights and ice skating.
