We would like to share our wonderful country home with you. The Lakeview House apartment sits high above Lake Taupo in the Grandview Estate private gated community at Acacia Bay, Taupo. At 620 metres (2,000 feet) above sea level, the unique elevated position of this large property commands extensive and rare views of the surrounding countryside, the great lake and mountains. The Lakeview House apartment has 2 large bedrooms each with ensuite bathrooms. There is a well appointed kitchenette and an area for dining. This luxury property is in a tranquil place ideal for a complete break, a romantic weekend, the base for an outdoor adventure stay, or to take in Taupo’s amazing natural geothermal environment. Glorious sunrises, sunsets and the twinkling lights of Taupo are yours to enjoy. By night the Milky Way overhead is amazing. Come and enjoy this luxurious location at Lake Taupo.
Andrew and Jane Williams are your hosts at The Lakeview House. Having travelled extensively, staying in all sorts of accommodation around the world, many of the great design features, the furnishing of the house, and the warm hospitality they offer, have come from their own travel experiences. The Lakeview House is one of Taupo's premier luxury properties. The large residence offers spectacular views across the lake, township, geothermal areas, rolling farmland and distant mountains. Set in landscaped gardens with outdoor guest patios to take in the breathtaking views. The 75m2 self contained apartment is within the home. It has two luxury bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms, kitchenette, laundry, separate guest access and parking, and outdoor deck/bbq/dining area. Your hosts are Andrew and Jane Williams. Andrew has an international business background, and a political career in local and central government. Jane has had a long career as a registered nurse, more recently specialising in child health and primary care.
Taupo is known as the ‘Events Capital of New Zealand’ with events taking place year round in this beautiful geothermal area. With so much to offer, Great Lake Taupo is nature’s ultimate playground. Cycling and mountain biking are very popular, combined with triathlon, Iron Man and swimming events. Lake Taupo is world renowned for trout fishing, boating, and water sports. There are many scenic walking, hiking and horse riding trails. Adventurous thrill seekers can enjoy skydiving, float plane, helicopter and jet boat rides, and bungy jumping over the Waikato River. Or take a fast spin on the motor racing track. Huka Falls and the Aratiatia Dam rapids are a must see for visitors, as are internationally acclaimed Lava Glass Studio and nearby L’Arte Café and Sculpture Gallery. Taupo offers great shopping, cafes, pubs and restaurants.
