A wholesome stay. Adding the breakfast just makes it so much more comfortable for long travel days. Jennie is an amazing host, and the house is very thoughtfully furnished for everything you’d need.

Company information

We are Jennie and Peter. We have two kittens, Pipi and Jag. We do our utmost to keep them under control, but hey, they are kittens. Peter sells Real Estate, loves animals, nice cars and big TVs. I also have a keen interest in animal welfare, having worked for the SPCA for over a decade, am an ex skydiver and scuba diver. I have been in the BnB business since February 2015, have hosted thousands of guests and have enjoyed every minute of it.

Property information

"Jennie's In Whitianga" is a BnB approximately 1.2km from the town's Main Street and is an easy flat walk to local restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. The Pohutukawa and Nikau Rooms are in a separate part of our house. A washing machine and drier are available in our converted garage, as are tea, coffee making facilities. A Continental breakfast is available with a choice of cereals, yoghurt, peaches and fruitsalad, orange juice, coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Spaghetti and Baked Beans are also available. Help yourselves, everything you need is in the fridge and freezer. Once you are checked in, we give you your privacy, however, if you need us for anything, you only need to knock on the internal door and we will be there to help in any way we can. We look forward to hosting you at "Jennie's In Whitianga" sometime soon.

Neighbourhood information

We live in a residential area called the Waterways. Whitianga is a sleepy seaside fishing town with a population of around 5000 for most of the year. Come Christmas and School holidays we are a bustling wee town with a population of between 20 to 25,000. We are a popular destination as we are central to many attractions such as Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach, New Chum and Coromandel Town. There are many beautiful beaches and lovely walks all over the peninsula. Come and check it out !!
