Worth the price. A whole chalet with very well equipped kitchen, living room, large bed and bathroom. The outside space is beautiful with lots of animals and wonderful views of the starry sky. They also left us food to feed the sheep and alpacas that live on the farm. We recommend it.

The property lies in the most beautiful area, located slightly out of town which we loved as it was quiet. The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, giving my girls pony rides- we had a friend loaf of bread and cake and it was lovely. The accommodation was comfortable and warm, it is an older properly so may not be everyone’s cup of tea but we really enjoyed it.

Helen's chalet is a particularly warm and lovely place, with complete facilities. There are horses, alpacas, cattle and so on in the pasture. The animals are leisurely on the green grass, the distant snow peaks are shrouded in clouds, and the brilliant stars at night are even more charming. Helen was gentle and meticulous. She prepared milk, jam, orange juice and dessert for us. She was eager to help us arrange our trip. In short, it is a very relaxing and happy place! I am sorry that I could not stay more than a few days, I sincerely recommend this place to everyone, It will be peaceful and pleasure.

This beautiful little gem is the best place I’ve stayed in ever - just far enough away from everything and the scenery was so breathtakingly beautiful! Helen was there to greet us on our arrival and she was so knowledgeable and helpful, she made us feel so welcome. The animals all around us were very content and we had a blast teaching my little one how to feed the alpaca and horses. When we came back from our trip to Milford Sounds she welcomed us with freshly baked bread and date loaf! That was very sweet and so kind of her to do! When I come back to Te Anau I will definitely stay here with Helen again!

Lovely cottage set in the grounds of the owner’s property. Surrounded by horses alpacas sheep and cockerels and Kai the dog . Lovely comfortable accommodation especially the recliner chairs . Helen was very friendly and helpful and the location is so quiet . 2 of the 3 nights able to see beautiful star lit skies including the Milky Way . Te anau is a lovely location for trips on the sounds.
