This Kingfisher B and B was simply superb. Of all the places we stayed during our six-week tour of South Island, this was our favourite by far. The apartment had been created with care and flair and with the comfort of guests in mind. The bed was a delight, the shower was fabulous, the breakfast was out of this world (we are now ona diet!) and the experience of being on a fam was incredible. The location was unbeatable for nature lovers like us. Best of all, Brigitte and Steve were super hosts. We will remember our stay here for a long time.

Kingfisher B&B is situated on a small farm surrounded by native bush and overlooking Hoopers Inlet. This is an ideal location from which to explore the Otago peninsula.
Bush walks and bird watching are readily accessed from the door of your private and quiet self contained room. A short walk through the bush takes you to Portobello village and Otago harbour. A short drive and you can be walking on the Beach, seeing the rare NZ sea-lion and yellow eyed penguin. A 20 minute drive will take you to Tairoa Head and the only mainland colony of the great Northern royal Albatross.
