Wanaka is the most beautiful place to visit The views of the lake and surrounding area are really stunning. It’s seemed a really peaceful place with just enough to do. A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown.
A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown. I could've stayed here weeks. It was a great location to be based at for Roy's Peak Summit, more hiking and days spent by the lake. There for Wanaka challenge - love Wanaka big time and so pleased the event will be back in town next year. Love Glendhu for weddings and can’t wait for for our daughter to marry her fab man there in October

Wanaka itself is a lovely spot.
Wanaka itself is a lovely spot. It was lovely without being too much of a tourist trap. The art gallery I visited was very good, and the two local restaurants also good and reasonably priced. The staff at the Thai restaurant were especially friendly and helpful. I wish I had stayed long enough to drive out to a few places from Wanaka.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

It had all the facilities you would want. was so good we wanted to stay for a few more days, but unfortunately it was already booked.

Loved the proximity to the Cardrona Hotel (2 min walk), we had more than 1 exceptional meal there. The apartment had everything you could possibly want and then even more. excellent for self catering. The layout was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We went into Wanaka most days for activities which is only a 15 minute drive and the drive is very easy. Plenty to see and do in the area. Thanks.

My daughter loves the lake and playground which is less than a 2 min walk. The Mexican place was really nice next door. The laundry was excellent we did all our washing easily. The communal kitchen was great for extra bowls and forks etc. the green space outside was excellent for our 4 year old.TeganAustralia
