Lovely house near the centre of town. Very warm welcome from Dianne and Warryn who were helpful and friendly. The guest 'suite' on the top floor is very roomy with a large landing acting as a sitting area as well as a large bedroom and bathroom - the whole floor is for the B&B guests, very private, but you're welcome to use the garden and hot tub. Breakfast was a DIY affair albeit with fresh coffee and scrambled eggs, at a time of our choosing. We had a very relaxing stay and have already booked another night.

Diane and Warren love people and went beyond and above starting from a warm welcome and providing a very specious and perfectly clean space upstairs for my use to rest after long day trips to Lake Taupo, Huka Falls and Tongariro National Park (I was grateful for walking sticks offered me by Diane for this challenging alpine crossing!). The location was perfect: pretty close to Taupo's CBD and at the same time very quiet with plenty of roof windows and ceiling fan allowing constant air flow after hot days. The kitchenette had all I needed to store snacks and prepare drinks. The breakfast was simply delicious with top quality fresh fruit salad, yogurt, whole variety of muesli and flakes, toasts and eggs of your wish prepared fresh by your hosts. The breakfast area was also peaceful and with a nice garden view allowing you slow start and nice conversation. I would highly recommend! I feel blessed that I could stay with Diane and Warren at their fabulous place :-)

Lovely hosts and our accommodation was superb. Really spacious. We were also able to use to the garden area and spa if wanted. Simple, but delicious, breakfast. Kept us going for ages. Easy, flat, walk into town - about 10 minutes. Could not have been better!

Dianne made breakfast to suit my likes, to the extent that she shopped for the bread that I like. I was very fortunate to have chosen the hosts at 6 Heathcote Road. Very obliging and helpful which vindicated my reason for visiting Lake Taupo.
